Hi there, great video!! I'm an engineer myself, In your point of view which one is better SCR or EGR? I personally prefer the SCR system as treatment of the exhaust is done outside the engine.... With EGR as your are recirculating the exhaust gases to the engine, it will have effects and heavy deposits... Would be happy to hear what you think about it...
The SCR system is very sensitive to sulphur. The sulphur bond (SO2) will poison the catalyst layer in the SCR and ASC. Biuret will also form in the SCR if Adblue mixing is poor. Poor Adblue mixing can be a result of too low air pressure in the Adblue nozzle. So Both systems have their downsides and advantages.
@@landerwauters6778 i agree with you.... i work for my dad, we own a fleet of trucks hauling shipping containers in indonesia... we are at the state that we have to renew our trucks as most of them are old more than 10 years.... Earlier last year our government stated all diesel engine vehicle sales must be euro 4 emission, and now its a choice between EGR trucks or SCR trucks.... and we have to choose something that we can use for a long long time
