Did 15 years FIFO in WA, eventually got a job on the Kwinana strip and don’t have a trade. Better roster, home every night and actually get paid better too. Met some great people out there. Good luck mate. 🍻🇦🇺
@@DATT0 appreciate the message, what a stint! Cheers
My husband has been with BHP for about 12 years now, it’s great. He’s a train driver, great roster, he’s home with us for two weeks at a time. It’s a great job if you can handle being away from your family each swing.
@@tammyyoung5279 incredible stint, completely agree though if you can handle it, it’s great 👍
Welcome to Australia brother hope you doing good 👍 be safe
@@CALLUM2k24 thanks mate!
Well hello there buddy 😂
Was great working with ya Jackie boy. Hope ya having a ball wherever you are!
@@Zou747 no way hahaha, hello there buddy! 😂
Thanks man same to you and hope is all going well out there for you !
Can’t wait to go there, I love Europe but I want to live that experience and gain money
@Mr_Karre well worth the experience if you can 💪
Thanks for sharing , I'd like to see more 👍
Welcome to WA, don’t tell everyone how good we’ve got it here!
Perth is hawt, the mines are hawtter but the wet season storms are majestic💪👍. It can be a tough life, but look after yourself both physically & mentally and you can have a really great lifestyle. How anyone can afford to live in Perth outside the mining absolutely amazes me
@@bdawg3942 I agree, no clue how they live with how expensive it is.
Thanks for the advice though ! 👍👍
hey mate, what kind of licenses did you need when working in the mines? Ive heard of Standard 11 and White Card and the police background check. What else did you need?
@@moneymoneymoney_534 really depends on your field but yes definitely the ones stated, first aid / CPR is a big one also 👌
Hi. I'm planning to do FIFO work too. Are you guys required to leave the accomodation during days or weeks off?
@@darwinsonas6559 most places yes
I really want to do this but I dont have a drivers licence, I do have a masters degree in tech. How hard would it be to get a job?
@@tomdaviestravel it really depends what field you are looking for? If you want a driving job you definitely need a licence. If you want to be a cleaner then no need!
How best can l get a job l have been applying everywhere
@ keep applying, all I can recommend! Good luck
Random question but dont u see like giant spiders daily?
How much would a labouring job pay? Work in construction looking move there and do this as soon as I can
How many days have you been in?and did you get the job from Germany
I was working for 6 months, and yes from Germany but I’m an Australian citizen so that helped
Nice vid wecome to the west 😊
@@Jenny_Ss thanks ! Great place to be
@ hope your enjoying your job the heat and the flies 🫣😛
@@Jenny_Ss always haha
You've got an Aussie accent. Where are you from?
@@Leo-hv9mm I was born in Victoria and yourself?!
Hi, did you have any related background or experience .
I am planning to move to Perth from Canada to find work in mines. I have PR status in Aus. Thanks
Yes I had some background trade experience so this helped me to get in!
Good luck I hope it works out for you, Canada is amazing ✌🏼
Thanks a million for the kind response.
Yeah Canada is wonderful but looking for a better paid job.
❤
@@SandeepB_ we all are aren’t we 😂
Are you with BHP or Rio Tinto?
@@mkdir-7 neither! There’s so many smaller Independent mines
What job are you doing there? Cheers
@@fragglerock5696 was working as an electrician 👍
You sound VERY Australian.
@@elenawalker3746 I am Australian haha! Just been living over in Europe for a while on visas
How i can join apprentice in fifo mines.
@@vikashmandal3817 I would say to try and apply online via one of the Job finder websites, if you can find any available!
Pretty much everyone is coming over. Then at the next cycle they are F off.
@@jr800w can’t handle it? 🤔
Is is Australian dollars u make on fifo and do u pay Australian taxes?
@@georgekristensen1293 sure is being in australia 👌
Hello can you help to get any information how can I get to work FIFO job i from Hungary and I strugel a where I need to look the jobs or how can I apply any job. I am a mechanic I have a lot of experience of repairing diesel car/truck. Thank you.
@@aronkertesz2154 most jobs would firstly require a work visa with the rights to work in Australia. If so you could just google work in Western Australia for your specific trade!
Blimey you sound Ozzie even before you got there 🤷♂️
Hey mate I would Like to work in fifo in australia I have no experience but for start I would like to work like housekeeper or cleaner or something like that can you a bit help me what company I can ask or something before I take holiday visa as Croatian/ European so if you can a bit more help give I would appriciate that 🫡
There’s definitely a lot of opportunity for those positions but most companies will require you having a working visa already then once you have that I’d have your resume ready and start searching on the Australian job websites like seek / indeed etc! Most people apply whilst in Australia
Try hospitality companies like ESS, Sodexo, Morris, PAI, or Cater care and agencies like Hays, Workpac. Agencies suck but it’s a foot in the door 👍. Good luck
how is it possible from India to get a job in Australian mining industry because this is my last year of DIPLOMA IN MINING ENGINEERING make a full video on it
