There are hundreds of miles of bike lanes across all of NYC. A lot of it being protected bike lanes with barriers and all. This is one of the busier roads near midtown. Most other parts of the city are much calmer.
I don't understand how/why a city like New York doesn't have better cycling infrastructure. I am a cyclist in a MUCH smaller city so it's way less intimidating, but I can see why New Yorkers on average wouldn't want to do this. Good on you though, looks like a blast!
There are plenty of bike lanes. He's just on avenues that don't have lanes. I prefer going with cars because I can predict what they will do next. On a very narrow bike lane? Too mercenary. Novice Citbike riders, delivery riders looking at their phones, and super entitled pedestrians, who, when not looking at their phones cross without looking because they believe the pedestrian has the right of way looks good on a tombstone. Nice video as always. What kind of range do you get with that bike? The battery isn't removable either?
I understand there are bike LANES but I think the fact that you prefer to ride with motor traffic suggests my point about INFRASTRUCTURE still stands. Because of how narrow, crowded, and unregulated they are, bike lanes are not useful and therefore not used. In my mind, that's not good infrastructure.
@@cassidyrichard4770 You are right... To a degree. The missing piece that would make things exponentially better is rider/pedestrian/car education. An agreement in etiquette would make the experience better for all around.
There are so many bike lanes across NYC. Hundreds and hundreds of miles in fact. & a couple hundred of that is fully protected. I was just riding fast in traffic because I wanted to. Sometimes the bike lane is crowded. Sometimes I just want an extra thrill. For the record, this is not most riders behavior. What city are you in that has good infrastructure?
beautiful bike and thinking of getting a torque sensor "fitness biuke" myself, but will shops here in NYC touch it for repairs if its not UL certified?
This is why e-bike riders have an awful reputation with other cyclists. Pick a lane bro! Only a matter of time before you take out another cyclist that's splitting the lanes if you swerve around like that.
i love watching bike videos cuz it proves to me time and time again that its the superior form of transportation
Dumbfounding NYC has 4-5 lane wide roads here. At least one should be a buse lane and another a cycle lane

Why would anyone voluntarily get into a ar in that city?

It is UL certified. There are a few dealers in NY that sell the bike. They might work on it too
@@anotherbikerider Great to here! I def want to look into a bike that can last me 5-10 years.
