I discovered the Sex Pistols when I was a teen during the 80’s. John Lyndon is an underrated frontman. I never got to Sex Pistols when they toured for their reunion tours, but I saw PIL three times and Lyndon was brilliant.
They should've made it. They were destined to. After all someone had to put an end to the 10 minute guitar solos rock bands where churning out at the time. All we need now is another band like the sex pistols

I actually remembered when they first came out, I thought they were crass and disgusting. I was a proper prog-rock nerd in those days. And they really only put out one album. But they have stood the test of time; they are punk rock. (the Ramones are really just juvenile). Lydon is actually a good lyricist and he believes in himself. "We're so pretty, oh so pretty, pretty vacant!" Yes, it needs to said. How many females actually fit that description. But you can't say it, cause that's sexist. But the Pistols don't care.

Honestly, I have listened to a lot of Sid's solo music and he really did have so much potential as a frontman lead singer. He had the voice, the charisma and the attitude. He unfortunately was a terrible bass player yes....and he perished way too young. 21 years old from a heroin overdose.... Such a sad and tragic story
