Warframe saved me from Destiny. No matter how hard DE nerfs my melee builds at least swords don’t have ammo.
I never understood the logic for a melee weapon to have amno
@@Shade00789balance purposes
@@oryxthetakenking8275 yeah but it's still stupid for a melee weapon to have amno
@@oryxthetakenking8275 Makes you realize how lucky we have it in terms of balance. Don't get me wrong some DE nerfs can be mad annoying, but they still let you remain absolutely broken.
@@oryxthetakenking8275 it’s a design flaw. They straight up failed at melee design in destiny 2 which is why THEY HAVE to have ammo. But don’t act like it’s some smart design decision. It’s stupid to have melee weapons cost ammo. It’s stupid to design your game in such a way where you are forced to have a sword require ammo.
Free to try not free to play. Bungie doesn’t know the distinction
Warframe allows you to be strong, destiny is afraid to let you be strong
Facts I'm unkillable in Warframe 😂
The difference in how power works between Warframe and Destiny is legit show vs. tell, and I hate that. In lore, the main player guardian is an absolute freak that doesn't sweat in the face of a universe obliterating threat yet in game regardless of how strong one gets you are still able to be killed by the weakest enemies. It infuriates me, but the opposite that Warframe goes for does the same thing cause after a bit you turn into a god that rules an empty world with no challenge. However, I hope DE fixes that with the introduction of raids/dungeons.
I mean it's because of pvp but pve yeah I get it😂
Average revenant enjoyer never seeing revive UI in 11 months
Ironically, even in lore warframes are even more powerful than guardians. They wipe out entire 3 km long galleons single-handedly in a matter of minutes. They nuke entire armies of grineer/corpus for breakfast with antimatter singularities and apocalyptic viral outbreaks. @@wellumm8350 The difference is warframe devs aren't afraid to try and make the game as close to the lore as possible. It takes the entire civilization of corpus and grineer to BARELY fight back against a small enclave of tenno still surviving since their fall.
Played both. Warframe has better movement and better flexibilty with more frames having more abilities, and a VERY involved modding system.
When they started sunsetting content i paid for, i was done with destiny.
Different games, different gameplay, yes. Warframe respects both my time and my wallet, destiny does not respect either
I love D2 , but I recently started in warframe and my mind was blown away, and being honest I decided to refund the Final Shape deluxe edition because this last season was the last nail on the coffin, they scammed us with recycled Forsaken missions and reselled us that, I really got mad and felt that it was enough of Bungie's BS , but with warframe I can get a lot of content and feel rewarded and respected as a customer and gamer.
Word
The real difference between Warframe and Destiny is, what happens after the initial tutorial, in Warframe you can just move on to the next mission, in Destiny you have to open your wallet or there is literally nothing to do otherwise. I know that this is a recent thing for Destiny, but it's a real scummy move by Bungie, advertising the game as free to play, when it actually isn't.
Its been a thing since d1 no new expansion you basically are locked out of everything
@@cooper2211 not with based d2 it ain't, remember red war ? ya
As a free to play player destiny u have 0 story well sorry the starting mission from d1 and a load of grinding activitys. thats it u dont get to know whats going on in the story or what happened already since they removed the base campaign. all you basically get to do is window shop and see all the "fun" things you could be doing if you open your wallet and give them the money.
i have over 2k hours on wf u wanna know how much iv spent on that game ? £5.50 for a starter pack for inventory space since it takes a while to start making plat on the market. thats it thats less than i spent on lunch. i dont get how people can defend destiny saying its better when id have to spend the price of a console just to play the stuff thats still intact
Warframe has yet to take away anything I've paid for, so I think Warframe can be considered objectively a better game to spend money on. Plus they went and actually optimized the game to reduce the filesize instead of deleting content. Warframe feels like a truly Free to Play game unlike D2 with its "buy our limited time FOMO expansions if you want to actually be on the same level as other players".
I legitimately hate Destiny 2 because I used to love it. I can't justify putting money into a game for something I tangibly won't have access to at an arbitrary point in time. I bought the game with the season passes when it came out, today I'd be basically the same as a free to try player that started today despite having been a paying player at launch.
Destiny DCV being because of file size is actually a myth, it was the "true but not the root" excuse Bungie did, Destiny content was vaulted because their engine work at the time was garbage, and their compile times were horrible, so they had to vault a lot of content to stop it from making the game taking forever to build any changes.
Source: Aztecrozz, he said that Bungie told him and a few other youtubers about it in a particular meetup, and that he did not understand why Bungie thought that the file size justification would be better.
This is also reinforced by the fact that ever since DCV happened, the game started getting more frequent bigger size patches and changes
The power level in destiny is nothing but a content gate. On Monday let's say you are doing XYZ content. On the Tuesday after the reset, you can no longer access said content until you go grind to raise your power level. No skill gained, almost always no worthwhile gear gained, just a mandatory time wasting grind to increase a meaningless number just to do the same content you were already doing. EDIT: spelling corrections.
Be more specific with this one cuz rn this ain’t true at all💀 as far as the rewards also very not true😭 but that’s more based on your own experiences I guess. WF leveling is just as stale… get mats for gun on the same rotation of missions across the same looking planets, then wait for your weapon to be crafted(time gate), then lvl that weapon in those same rotating missions and then boom mr exp+ for 30+ lvls… then it’s endgame is LITERALLY just a copy n pasted star chart but slightly harder(I can still spam melee or 1/4 abilities to beat 90% of the game… exhilarating) For WF n D2 I have restarted my acc on both of them mind you with 3k+ hours in D2 and hitting MR 15+ twice on WF… both are trash games but I just love one more than the other so idk
Its simple. If you want to pay easily over $100 in dlc alone just to experience the full game/story, then go play Destiny. If you want to be able to earn everything for absolutely free, still big grind, but still personally fun, play warframe.
you forgot the part where you pay for Destiny's DLC and still have to grind for it
I started in Warframe but left a few years ago when I felt it became too much of use one ability to nuke everything in the room and run to extraction. 3 other people doing that took all of the fun out of the game so I went to Destiny 2. Played Destiny 2 for a few years but finally had enough with the lowering quality of the game and paying $60-$100 for their expansions that gave me nothing but more grind and story/characters I was never invested in. I'm sorry, I really don't care about the Witness or very much of any lore with Destiny 2 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I uninstalled Destiny 2 and returned to Warframe. It's great to be back. 😁
your free now
i wanted to get into destiny 2 again but i just read that they laid off 100 staff....thats such a despicable thing to do 2 months before christmas....
@@vadim6656 You aren't missing much. I did play it after I left Warframe but their whole model for the game is so different, nowhere near the variety of Warframe. Plus I never vibed with the story of Destiny as much as I do with Warframe. Them laying off all of those employees shows wasn't a good look either.
Very much same. Started in warframe, got a few frames crafted, someone told me "you should try Destiny" and I went down my Journey of Warframe Vs D2.
3-4 years later, toxic D1 elitist community regurgitating the same complaints over those years, all major youtubers post about those same topics 24/7 to stay relevant, constant release of more "bungie drama" released by Influencers, made a for a really weird hamster wheel of negativity. Overall a not so great taste in my mouth. All of that on top of the DLC prices were enough for me.
Very glad to have returned to a true free to play game. Oh, and the community isn't super toxic to newbies like me. Willing to join me without a mic, taxi me to different destinations, and guide me on the 'best" weapons to craft for end game. Overall, Just the awesome community and fashion framing won me over. I've only been back in Warframe for about a month and it is very refreshing.
@@nesmartinez-rno11-7pstm-f8 I've only been back a month and a half or so myself. It is great to be back 😁
I do think the game and my own attitude towards the game is in a better place. I stopped watching all the build videos and play the frames I like and use the weapns I like. I don't care if I can solo Steel Path to level 600 or not, I just want to have fun with Space Mom, Ordis and bouncing around the star chart smacking Stalker around whenever he shows up. 🤣
Advice to new warframe players: never try to compete with your team mates on a random game. They will laugh at you, nobody cares who deals the most damage or kills the most enemies, at the very most they will thank you for the carry in a hard mission. But don't try to flex on other tenno, you'll be a laughing stock.
True, i entered a survival sp mission, for those who read this and dont know, late game that gets even harder with time, and got carried for a complete hour because i chose something wrong and was extremelly fragile, people were very nice and didnt doubt to run to revive me when i fell, they put up with it for a full hour mind you
warframe community is pretty nice, the worst you can find is someone that just doesnt want to talk, at least from my experience
Free to try is the most accurate assessment of Destiny 2 I've heard yet. Destiny 2 is actually one of the most expensive games you can buy, and it's still labeled as "free".
clearly you haven't seen GACHAs hehe
@KnightmareFrame lol true, but at the very least with those you can theoretically get what you want after months/years of saving to offset the dice roll. With Destiny, there's nothing you can do to play that new dungeon or story or get it's rewards aside from paying money
Warframe is so high up in quality that destiny does not even compare, not even close. If you like pvp play other games entirely
Warfarmer vs Dlcestiny
It crazy to me that I play both games around 2013-2014. Because my exposure to Warframe I was excited to play Destiny when it was announced. Taken king will always be my favorite expansion from destiny. Going back into Destiny 2, the game doesn’t do a good job on what I need to do. I was lost and I stop playing. Couple of years later and bought the witch Queen expansion for $15 and I had a good time. Warframe will always be my go to game. Been playing on PC and PlayStation for 9 years which is crazy to think about. It’s to bad what D2 has become, micro transaction hell.
Warframe has great community though ngl, and devs are really engaging with players through streams and tennocon
Warframe will be better Than D2 imo no matter what for 1 reason and 1 reason alone.. you can get the PREMIUM currency of the game for FREE by playing the game. Making it one of if not the most F2P friendly games i have every played
except tennogen, but that is just to support the creators, so understandable.
Every time I go to earn ANYTHING in WF I am immediately hit with boredom and just buy the plat😭
However, that comes down to HUGE differences in design, aside from special promos and stuff like prime access, Warframe lends itself rather well to trading. But if any form of a trading system were to be put in D2, the game would go down 1 of 2 paths, either dying in the blink of an eye as basically everyone other than top clans and hard-core players would have no real reason to go into endgame activities or the game would become a p2w or corrupt trash heap for basically the same reasons.
I left Destiny 2 very early on for Warframe & I'm so happy I did!
I'm happy I never tried D2. So much of pay to win shits.
bro said eye-dolans 💀
The fact that destiny can take content you paid for away……..
tthis was when i stopped playing destiny. sunsetting was the dumbest idea
Finally consumers with common sense right here.
I enjoy both games but stopped destiny a while back. One major part that wasn't mentioned here is warframe to f2play and destiny is simply not. You can try it for free but if you want to get to END game, expect to spend hundreds.
It's not hundreds and you do know that the people that build this game don't work for free right?
@@clint1704 And yet DE has managed to survive with one single game with free updates over the last ten years
@godzelda123 Didn't say they weren't. I play Warframe all the time. I'm just stating the facts.
@@clint1704It costs around $150 to buy all of the expansions. And that'll breach $200 by the time the next dlc rolls around. May not technically be hundreds, but spending that amount of money isn't even remotely worth it.
@ambientNexus It's on sale for 60%. It will only cost you $70 for 6 years of content. To really do the math, you broke gamers and aren't telling the whole story. Your pay about $12 a year for the content because all of this content is 6 years of production from intellectual devs that if they we're to stop making games, you would not have games of this magnitude, you dummy.
I like both games, but I feel that D2 is less solo friendly and it has a lot of content paywalled also. I have more fun and way less frustration in Warframe than in D2 nowadays.
General question is
WOULD YOU RATHER GET A COMPLETE GAME AND ALL THE LOOT FOR FREE (play Warframe)OR SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR EVERY DLC (play destiny)
I used to love d2 now i hate it
I used to hate warframe now i love it
As someone who has played Warframe since 2014 and played Destiny from 2018 to 2023, Warframe is the much better experience. The grind, the power, the community, Destiny 2 could never. They don’t have the balls or the money.
Warframe is four times the game Destiny is. And the game is free. You can't beat that
I played both games and as a solo player i enjoy Warframe more. In Destiny they removed planets that you payed for back in a day, Io and Mars i believe, basically content you payed for is now been removed. In Warframe, they just keep on adding. Warframe is just better, change my mind.
You can't even access the parts of Mars and Io that were there originally, so they haven't really been "brought back." The Celestial bodies may be the same, but the actual maps are not.
You failed to mention warframes devstreams and prime time streams. I love them ! ❤
Honestly I used to love destiny but I'm tired of all the laziness, false advertising , and most of all the fact that they vaulted over 70% of all paid for content and when they finally do bring it back out they make you pay for it again!
If warframe gets raids it will no longer be a competition on which game is a better space looter shooter
It isn't a competition the question is
Would you rather pay for every dlc to get better gear or get a complete game with free loot
I support some of the time gating in Warframe you know why? It encourages you to log off and live your life while you wait
It really doesn't it encourages you to farm things efficiently. There is more thought into playing warframe. Maybe not the gameplay, but how you actually go about it. While you wait, you farm other things. Idk I just like being efficient not just with warframe but with everything. Problem with destiny is it doesn't have enough grind for me. Destiny is a giant pool, a inch deep.
@@jaketheman1577 I think your simile of D2 being an inch deep pool hits the mark perfectly.
played destiny since the 1st back in around 2014 or 15, got to 334 mac light, bought d2 on release. it seemed so promising. had crisp gameplay, but after season 8 or so, they started vaulting content that you BOUGHT THE GAME to experience. then forcing you to pay for the new content, calling it seasonal. making the upper teir of seasonal passes non rewarding. but the bottom is filled with rewards, all that will be useless in the next 2 seasons. any skill required in destiny, is literally jumping back and forth, and using cover. (every call of duty ever) they even nerfed the in general survivability just to make it harder💀. they have the 3 raids from destiny 1 and you have to pay for them😂. hopefully they dont get vaulted. i reach mac light just so next season everyone is automatically at noob level again. its a game that forces you to pay for a temporary progress save, which will be vaulted and or anything you unlocked will be useless in a short time to come. and youll have to pay to do the new thing. meanwhile people complain about the repetitivness in WF maps, destiny literally has a small pool of strikes, destiny 1's old ass raids sold as a new experience, and one map(the open world) for each planet. war frame has a pool of different nodes on each planet with each a different map. and still has 4 open worlds. and you have railjack and divuri game mode. occasionally pvp tbh WF neeeedddss a pvp. but other than that, you can also quit the game and come back exactly where you left off, and instead of youte level being nerfed, they add harder content to appeal tp their growing player base, you stay the same strength, you dont have to pay a dime and can have any level of power you desire, or can get ahold of. did i forget to say, for free?! if you aren't strong enough or seek a different build type, you can moet certainly use cover, and dodge bullets, and they give you the movement system to do so! unlike destiny where they nerf the movement and health. people use glitches for half baked launches. warframe lets you bullet jump, and gives mods for enhanced jumping💀. you get a companion, of which you can customize and name! dont forget the customization on war frame allowing you to choose youre colors, not forcing you to settle for an ass mix of okay colors. destiny 2 let you put the shader mix on individuals parts finally. but its still ass compared to the free color customization warframe allows you to choose from freely. and colors you can save up plat to buy, without opening youre wallet! war frame has more loot to collect, the sword don't have ammo💀, and the guns remain just as useful as most the others. War frame unlike destiny allows you to jse whatever play style you want, unlike how destiny forces you to change youre loadout and plau style seasonally. paying to be told how to play a game you already bought😂😂, couldn't imagine doing that still. sometimes i jump back on just because i love my season 1-3 ornaments, and everyone nowadays looks like a shit fest, basically a xaku, all mix matching armor, all different armor sets that don't even look good together. looking like a body builder with dis morphia after jumping in a pool of blue and green dye or some god awful shit. meanwhile even noobs in warframe are able to have a decent look without even having yo try. destiny just has shit looking gear so you buy whatever you need to unlock the semi okay looking shit. on top of that, destiny gives you a sparrow. warframe gives you a k-drive, archwing, and necramech. all of which can be customized just as much as anything else in war frame. not just a single color mix shader, and can have attachment and sigils of what ever color you choose. dod i forget to say that its free too!? destiny, even of it was free, is still really shit. destiny 1 is a better vibe, and time spent than destiny 2. and while they sell you a destiny 3, warframe will have gotten dozens of, quality of life enhancing updates, with actually content updates. something bungie lacks even when they tell you they made a new title. still cant rack my brain around how they sold off destiny 1 raids in destiny 2 and people ate it up💀. same people who dislike warframe most likely.
Playing Destiny 2 as a free to play gamer is such a hassle. Especially since I'm on console, I can't even play online without Ps plus. I was so mad I couldn't even complete the few free seasonal quests of the withqueen expansion because it required Trials of Osiris. Also, they had the nerve to make all content free for one week, which made me so happy to finally earn stasis, only to find out I couldn't use it after that week. I heard that developers will introduce one last expansion and then stop giving any updates, so the game will pretty much shut down, I guess.
And not forgetting guys warframe doesnt require ps plus
I´ve been playing WF since 2020, i got over 1300hs, and now it´s like my comfort game, just enterting to chill in a survival mision farming somethin, or open relics and proove my lucky.
Once you notice tath everything you miss out in WF, like an event or a special gift, eventually come back. For me it´s about enjoying the game, an not suffer cuz only got 2d to get a new weapon or whatever. In conclusion, WF is a huge W game, if you know how to enjoy it at 100%
And fashionista and flexing in world chats 😂
I’m 17 years old, started playing destiny when i was 7, started playing warframe 2-3 years ago because of the content drought before witch queen. Warframe has just been ahead in every category. Maybe music goes to destiny?

I got all the content i paid for lol
Virgin destiny ghost vs Chad cephalon Ordis
i enjoyed a alot D1 but not the same with D2 and the current bungie that every year is worse for me bungie died the year that Joseph Staten, Marcus Letho and Marty left the company D1 was good because they worked on it before left the company the current destiny lore is garbaje i want the Joseph vision back
and destiny is a game that steal from you and force to buy the new content because they delete the old one warframe is game that you want to support is the big difference for me that and the lore-universe for me the warframe one is more unique and interesting with better factions with good characters of every faction, gender and race without being cringy woke and i love it
Actually Ordis is even more than a Chad, you can search for some lore - I will not spoil

Ngl, i wasted a lot of money on Destiny. I was also sick and tired of the constant nerfs. I started playing Warframe for a few days, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. It took a bit of willpower to not go back to Destiny, and now that I'm cracking my addiction, playing other games is like a breath of fresh air. Warframe has so much to do, weapons and frames to unlock, and is overall a better game. What i should do now is find people who play Warframe. Being social was never my strong suit, but we'll see what happens. Thanks, Warframe, for cracking my addiction to Destiny. I shall never return to it.
iv got 2k hours in warframe and had about 1k in destiny. i spent in total £450 on destiny and would have had to spend more if i didnt quit when beyond light came out. on warframe iv spent £5.50
and that was just for a starter pack cus i needed inventory space at the start before i could get to the joy of the warframe marketplace and earn my own plat.
There's also the fact with warframe u can still play the story from the start and not miss anything. destiny however is missing its base campaign and has lots of time limited story parts so the only way to experience all the story now is to watch it all online but at that point why even bother playing the game since u have to pay for stuff that wont be around forever.
Its just not even a question for me warframe is such a better game and i regret spending soo long on destiny before i realised how bad it was. only thing i really liked about it was the raids but gl managing the squedual of 5 other people in order to run them all every week
This,i have like a year playing now and bought lots of prime packs out of respect just the accessories tho but yeah like 80 bucks overtime but because i wanted to i was not forced to keep playing and probably gonna keep supporting the game more you can feel the love and passion and the respect they have for their players
i have an unhealthy amount of hours in both destiny 2 and warframe across too many platforms across about 10 years for each as well. ive seen both ups and downs for each game. warframe definitively is the better experience now (has been for quite some time IMO). its not a question of if anymore its more a question of how much.
warframe pound for pound has more meaningful impactful content to do in the game than destiny could EVER aspire to have even if sunsetting NEVER happened. the weapon variety, the classes (warframes) the different system like railjack and fish, the way you obtain loot, the quality of that loot and even fashion is better with all the COMMUNITY made cosmetic.
whenever i log into warframe i always feel like my day had productivity and i actually had progress made onto what im doing into warframe. destiny? the only word that comes to mind is hallowness. i recommend to everyone that is interested in play either one of these games to consider playing warframe as i wholeheartedly believe that warframe is vastly superior experience
I'm a relatively new Warframe player. 80 hours in. I've been enjoying the hell out it and the only money I've spent was a bit of platinum for additional weapon slots and to speed up foundry crafting. The game is definitely grindy but the gameplay makes it worth it.
You spend plat on foundry crafting?? :mother of god:
I'm somewhat newish too. A little over 100 hours on it. I fell in love with this game so hard. It's just so much more fun than destiny imo. Destiny burnt me out on games as a whole last season. And warframe brought me back to games. I spent over 300 bucks already on this game, but unlike destiny it wasn't cuz I had too but cuz I wanted too.
Noooooooooooo dont use plat in the foundry!!! Save plat for trading and weapon/frame slots
To echo others, don't waste plat on speeding up the foundry. If you're going that route, it's best to just save it for trading with other players or buying weapons/frames flat out or buying slots.
That said, what I really wanted to comment on is that I love that you could say "relatively new" and "80 hours" in the same sentence, and I can completely understand and agree, lol. I've been playing on and off for nearly nine years, and there's still so much of the game I haven't gotten around to doing.
I played destiny 2 a long time ago (I don't remember exactly when but I'm pretty sure it was shortly before it went "f2p") and I was constantly overwhelmed by the INSANE focus on monetization. Not just that but the game also did a terrible job at showing me what on earth am I supposed to do with myself. I was mainly running around and flailing around menus mindlessly looking for some sort of a quest or activity to do but pretty much everything was locked behind DLCs / power level and I had absolutely no clue what to do. Shortly after I dropped the game and never came back. I was thinking of giving the game a second chance but by what I saw on various reviews from youtube the monetization is even more agressive and the FOMO mentioned in the video cranked up to 11 so I pretty much dropped the idea on the spot
As a player who started playing Destiny 2 first and encountered the first paywall after a couple of days, I'm glad that I found Warframe.
short answer: don’t play destiny
both games are great but destiny isnt free to play, its free to install. 80% of destinys content is behind a paywall
Youre being generous w/ only 80%
The only thing I'm jealous about what Destiny 2 has that Warframe doesn't have, is raids. I have to admit, raiding in Destiny is fun and the level of quality and effort put into them really make them seem epic and feel like it's THE endgame. Sure, Warframe has content that could technically be considered endgame on paper, but there isnt any content that brings that same endgame energy like a Destiny raid do.
Deimos Isolation Vaults are a great foundation of what I could vision the start of a Warframe raid being like. It's like a good example of what I want from the first starting stage of a Warframe raid. Now if there were multiple stages to the Isolation Vault, that kept going deeper and deeper into the Cambian Drift, and the puzzles and mechanics got more complicated and intense, and some final infested boss at the very end... It would be perfect. But DE just wants to focus on activities and missions that can be completed in one 5-10 minute cycle and backed out of. What Warframe has is just the Destiny equivalent of strikes and dungeons. But wait...what if the strikes and dungeons were endless? That's Warframe "endgame" in a nutshell.
And that's the problem with Warframe endgame. The only way players can make it feel like some sort of pseudo endgame, is if they go choose to go endless (wave after wave), allowing enemies levels to scale higher.
Many of the activities themselves are cool for what they are, but I hate DE leaving it up to us to endlessly push content to the highest wave possible, in order to make it "endgame" and "challenging." Like actually give us a raid with multiple stages, that is less about being a damage check (like most of Warframes "Endgame" content is) and actually have creative mechanics that are outside of the realm of DPS checks.
Warframe did have 8 player raids called Law of Retribution. They removed it in 2018 when they introduced Eidolons. I am not sure if you played the Scarlet Spear operation in 2020 but that had a more raid like experience where 2 teams of 4 players were responsible of providing com-links to fight off armies of sentients on ground (earth) and space (Anomaly ship).
I think a portion of the issue with endgame type activities in warframe is the absurdity of how strong the player really is with good builds, and this game is through and through a power fantasy, and being limited for the purpose of difficult content doesn't match the overall feel of warframe.
@@WaWestie I'm aware of how overpowered we are. That's why I specifically stated that Warframe raids would need less of a focus on being a damage check activity, and more about puzzles, mechanics, teamwork and coordination. You know, typically what raids usually require from players.
On Xbox Destiny 2 is 118GB base game while Warframe is 39GB.
which i find fucking insane seeing how warframe literally has tons of open-world spaces. i'm not super knowledgeable but i still have to wonder what most of the bloat for D2 even is, seeing as they had to gut most of the game
And Warframe's devs have made an effort to make the game take up _less_ space without removing content.
@@blarti6010 Warframe is not comparable for storage. It's mostly the higher quality textures that takes up Destiny open worlds that takes up space. Warframe's graphical fidelity lags behind a lot, which actually allows it to be substantially smaller.
@@andrewpaschall8992nah Warframe's engine team is just really cracked, the former creative director of warframe is a tech whiz and they know how to make AAA graphics run on potato
@@DawnAfternoon I would definitely not call Warframe AAA graphics and it also cannot run on a potato (my old laptop).
Bungie also did not gut most of the game lol.
Warframe is actually easy to play solo than destiny which needs teamwork
Think about this: would you rather invest $120+ in a game that offers so little with an abysmal story that is regularly removing content and upping up their microtransaction store every two months with events and seasons, and frequently ignores player feedback to the point of controversy? Or would you prefer invest time (and optionally money) into a FREE game that has stability, healthy playerbase and flexible customization?

Warframe is pulling me out of the mud(DESTINY) dgmr, destiny 2 has its kicks and all, but warframe has a fluidity to it, no limitations, an best part is, it doesn’t hold your wallet hostage for the offer of content as you actually have a choice to purchase in game resources
As a hardcore d2 player Im impressed u got almost everything correct about the game and including snazzys solo was unexpected but sooo right because the true endgame is to do lowman raids and solos. Compareble to solo eidolons.
So good job portraying both games
The paywall and farming system is what stop me from playing destiny
I have 1400 hours in warframe and 2200 in destiny. I can say I had more fun on destiny especially with my friends. BUT I actively enjoy warframe more because I don't have to spend money for the game to not be boring.
Also im mostly a solo so i still haven't played the majority of the raids. I don't have to have friends to play warframe.
Yeah unfortunately that changes at end game when rivens are the only useful loot
@@James-9999 Meanwhile where there are tons of players slaying all contents without rivens. 😂
I've played destiny 2 a few years back and warframe is easily better. I was confused about what's going on and what's next to do, then after a few hours stopped as it's boring and feels like not much is open to do since paying to play is almost required. Warframe feels better to play, much to do and clear what you need to do to progress, plus actually free.
Destiny 2 might be great foe other players but for me I don't see myself ever playing it again.
I’ve played both Destiny and Warframe, Warframe is better !
Screw Destiny 2 and bungie with their horrendous monetizations, Atleast warframe gets a free update that i could always go back to, i mean imagine paying 30 dollars for a dogshit update like lightfall lol
No indepth dive about the monetization the 2 games has? I remember correctly this why destiny is a shell of its former self and warframe is still thriving even without the gaming hype bungie has in the gaming community cause of Halo.
As much as I liked destiny 2, especially its intro in the red war, it really feels scummy when the game locks you out on new content with a damn paywall. And some content being removed bums me out.
Oh! You want stasis and strand? Well, you gotta pay up for them juicy expansions. Whats that? You want the meta weapon for PvP? Well you gotta pay up. Oh! You want to relive the forsaken DLC and fight an old boss?
WELL ITS GONE! REMOVED! YOUR NEVER SEEING IT AGAIN!
As for warframe, not only are most of the things in it are free and some past content are still there, but you also don't feel like you got left behind and can easily catch up with others. And it really does act like a free to play game, rather than destiny which is a paid game disguised as a free to play.
Only downside for warframe is that some of their packs and in game store items are unreasonably expensive. And some of the cosmetics do require platinum so you have to pay real money. But its very cheap and you can always get plat in a player driven economy.
The prime access packs are what I think you’re referring too, so I’ll say this.
It is because the game is completely and sincerely free. People who don’t want to pay a dime, don’t have to. While those who happily hand over cash for plat, keep the ingame trading economy that free players can get their plat from.
Yes. They’re not cheap. But neither is making a truly free to play game, who’s only real competitor is a AAA game studio with a pre-established and overtly biased fanbase.
All that said, I’d say prime access is fine. Regal aya and the plat packs are fine.
The bloated “starter packs” and stuff however. They can get a bit ridiculous.
@@thatwarframeguy3855 I 100% agree.
I didn't mention it because I thought it was common knowledge that if a game is free to play, then most stuff ingame stuff would be somewhat expensive. Like Paladins, Fortnite, and some free mobile games. Their games are free, but they need to get money somehow.
I'm fine with spending money in warframe, but all I buy are usually cosmetics. I mean, if I'm gonna kick ass and chew bubblegum in space, I gotta look cool.
@@pubfriendthegreat1259
Same here. I’ve mostly only ever bought prime access accessories but I do sometimes yoink the gear too if I’ve got the extra cash. Lmao
I was pissed when they removed Forsaken. One of the best campaigns ever, and you remove it for what? I still don't understand why they did it.
@@BladetheFox141 PS4 holding them back due to storage constraints.
I've played Destiny for 8 years, Warframe on and off for 9, and I still feel like Warframe is the one I find more enjoyable and love coming back to. Destiny usually just gets boring pretty quick and leaves me wondering why I play it sometimes!
Whats good with Warframe is that youre bound to what mods you equiped to amplify your Warframes build weapons and playstyle, while in Destiny whats good is how you need to rely on what an exotic armor can do to synergize with anblities in you build to work with your exotic weapon or a specific perk that came with your legendary weapons, both game has grown to be so different from their original releases but this core gameplay still remains as a base for new players and thats why a lot of people are still playing to this day. A lot of games I played that tried to mimic both in some ways failed to keep me going back to them since they dont have a good core gameplay to begin with.
What made Warframe better than Destiny for me? Feeling of getting powerful. If I aquire new frame or weapon, the higher MR lets me mod it better, my mods don't lose their power. I don't lose the progress I made. In Destiny I have to aquire new light (power) levels of weapons and armor, earn seasonal mods that can be of no use for my fav subclass or playstyle, constant nerfs (meanwhile in WF we get more and more amazing reworks), seasonal perks on armor.. (anyone even uses them when u have to farm for good stat roll to complement ur build?), oh yeah.. Double RNG - not only u have to roll needed exotic, but it can be trash when u get for ex. for titan an exotic making u throw more grenades but u get high mobility, recovery and intellect stats for ex.. Power level cap in some activities.. Gameplay is awesome.. But uhh.. Sometimes I feel like in work.
Also.. Too little talk about how helpful the WF community is ;)
One mod to rule All Frames 😂.

All I heard from this is Warframe is objectively better since it's not a "open your wallet" simulator that you can't get content from otherwise, and the wrong way to pronounce Eidolon. XD

I play both and see myself not wanting to play Warframe that much. It comes down to seeing how much you have to grind.
That's fair and understandable, but on the flipside, that content buy and large isn't going to be removed after a year and doesn't come with a price tag on it.
@@SilverDwarven True true. I like warframe better. And there is really nothing to do in Destiny 2 as I play it free to try. I just get more of those moments in warframe what make me not want to play it any more. Like looking how many weapons I need to master or how many resources I need to grind to get the next weapon. I do not like grinding games in general like GTA V and warthunder to name a few because you can't explore everything the game has to offer in a life time. It is sad and vile in a way.
@raah5583 I feel the same way. As much as I like the grind in Warframe, it can become a slog after a few days, and I've found myself going bacl to older games like Destiny 1 and Borderlands 2 Where it shines is the ease of mind I get knowing I can return in a few weeks or months and pick back up on whatever I was doing without the fear of it having been removed or falling behind on whatever the newest content is. There's no rush to do anything in Warframe generally, with maybe the exception of Nightwave, but it's all free & the usually end up bringing its rewards back at a later point.

Just stay away from D2. You will thank me later
Destiny's loot amounts to getting the same loot over and over again but just reskinned and given different perks to look different. Really, the only interesting loot in D2 are the exotics but those have been nerfed into the ground so much that they're almost useless in pve just so that the pvp crowd can have their "balance" and that mindset is what will ultimately destroy any looter shooter.
in short, warframe waste your time, while destiny 2 waste both time and money?
i'd rather play warframe because it only waste my time
I think you have played warframe so long that you dont appreciate it anymore. You needed to tell it as a new player experience. Nightwave is worth it for new players. And other things smh
Yup basically because free potatoes and nitain extract for prime frames/weapons.
Really it just comes down to this question. Do you want to have play a social experiment meant only to steal money off its addicts, or do you want to play an actual game that loves its community?
I chose the latter.
I chose the latter, aka warframe.
Spend thousands of hours grinding vs Spend thousands of dollars
Dude, just hearing you explain Destiny makes me glad I don’t play that crap. It sounds like it’s just a cash grab.
It's basically paid game hidden behind Free to play title
It used to be a decent comfort game when Bungie was still kept in check by daddy Activision. Sadly, it is not the case anymore.
While the game is 'free to play', majority of its more important content require most of the DLCs that pretty much force you to pay for the game.
There is no possible way to be a f2p player that I can think of.

Yeah tbh I was all for playing Destiny 2 till I found out that 500 worth of content to progress is a major turn off still kinda want to play it tho 😅
I remember taking a break from Warframe to try Destiny 2. Ended up quitting because of the FOMO and having to pay the equivalent of multiple triple A titles at this point just to follow the story, only to realize half of the story is already just GONE because they were sunset at some point. The monetization in D2 is also kinda, uh...somethin else. Idk, maybe I'm just spoiled by Warframe. Don't even get me started on the modding system. Oh you need a specific mod to make your build work? Well good luck waiting months on end for it to show up because ADA is being stingy and you can't trade with other players.
It's a shame, because the gameplay loop is actually really fun.
So you call D2 rpg but warframe is just an "action" game? Yeah cuz the infinite amount of mods, arcanes, archon shards, focus schools, helminth system and synergies are just "action" thingies. Even with a perfect aim, landing headshots everytime, you won't be able to kill anything without a good build, just like...hmmm dunno...AN RPG???

Destiny can go set itself on fire. It's a shell of what it was. Warframe is at least somewhat okay, and not trying to scam every cent out of you.

I love Warframe and Destiny 2 for similar but different reasons. When I get bored of Destiny 2, I take a break for a while and play Warframe. When I get bored of Warframe, I go play Destiny 2 for a bit. Both games have aspects that the other doesn't have, like Destiny habing raids, dungeons, being an FPS, gunplay, lore, etc. and Warframe having amazing parkour, melee combat, and more variety in playstyle.
I love the crafting timer
destiny 2 i'm sorry i tried, terrible inventory to manage, stats are a mess. the story to follow impossible, i often did weekly things where i killed a boss that the next week i'll do the first part.
"moderate" free to try? you find this moderate? i wonder what you find little!
the only "good" thing in destiny besides visual which you can only have if you have a good pc is the PVP, its great its one of my favourite i ever played.
warframes have loads of problems, bugframe, no particular end game, 10 year old lore that is a bit messy but it gets better over time.
but its fully free to play, store isn't thrown in the face and you won't lose anything you bought. a way to follow. overwhelmed yes, but in general not lost!
You'll come back when you realize the gameplay is better in Warframe and even if you don't like the story. At it's core that's all that matters. In warframe it is free and fun to play. In Destiny, you'll start to have fun about 500$ in.

Warframe is way less new player friendly, as a casual in both, destiny 2 really does a better job streamlining the quests/story. Warframe I feel like I have no clue on how to do quests in order and after you complete them, it just seems like it doesnt feel rewarding at all. It feels like I start a mission, slash through hordes, and the end, at least in Destiny I have fun cutscenes often and the fights seem a bit more intense.

Too much FOMO, unfair pay to win mechanics, toxin over competitive players and meta sweats, over priced mandatory content, a untrustworthy dev team that doesn't listen often to the players, unreasonable nonsense grind, a games that takes away large amount of contents (paid), mandatory paywall content progression, lack of respect on players grind/ achievements.

Having played both (500 hours each), I find Warframe a lot better and especially more rewarding. I prefer Warframe more because I care more about the reward than the journey, I don't mind grinding hundreds of the same missions just to get a new frame (which imo is more rewarding than anything in Destiny, since it's like unlocking a new subclass every time). Compared to my friends who find it more rewarding to complete a difficult dungeon or raid than the loot at the end.
The only reason D2 is still popular is because a long time ago someone made the guns feel amazing in Halo. That's it. Warframe does most of what D2 can do and more, while being completely free to play. The one major gripe I have with DE is Tencent. Regardless of what you think about the CCP, Tencent is known for heavily monetizing their games. Thankfully DE hasn't done this yet (At least since I last checked), but it seems like more things are being added to the Market every day. Like Datto said in D1, it's a slippery slope. DE hasn't full on sold power yet like Bungie did with the Harmonizers, but I can see a world where they eventually do.
That being said... If someone wanted to get into the genre, I'd tell them to try Borderlands first. Warframe has no idea what it wants to be. Is it Gundam? Tony Hawk Pro Skater? Open World? Space Combat? It's easier to list the things Warframe isn't compared to what it tries to be. And D2 is so greedy that you wouldn't get a real taste of what the genre is without spending at least a hundred bucks. D2 is great if you have several houses you can afford to mortgage off and don't mind the hackers, the glitches, and the servers being down for hours at a time.
Incarnon for plat scares me. It's not greed, but feel like it's a step towards it. I've been trying to stay away from online gaming. Love warframe but don't want to get tricked into supporting greed
@@freeweights101 We can at least earn Incarnon adaptors, so it's not as bad as Destiny which ONLY allows you to "earn" the Harmonizers through their battle pass crap (3 each for paid and free tracks). But yeah, this is yet another step towards greed. There have been TONS of small steps, each the community at large hasn't really noticed, except for when they removed the Forma from one of the holiday events a few years ago, or when they introduced the Aya stuff which outright gave less per dollar compared to the Vault. There was a time when DE didn't do these things. I remember when Kubrows were being introduced, they had (In Sheldons' own words) a slot machine style fur pattern changer. They removed it because ONE PERSON pulled the lever 200 times. The cost was 10 plat, and at this time 1 plat was about 67 cents, so this one person only spent 134 USD.
