"I want the authentic, legitimate original Zard."
Gets a reshelled 3ds
Is there a way to tell it’s reshelled?
@@EvilTurkeySlicesit’s missing the correct backplate. If it is missing it, I would not touch it.
Japan’s shipping is absolutely crazy. Amazon Japan, from what I’ve heard, can often times get your item to you the same day you purchase it or the next day. Sendico getting you the items the day after you ordered is insane.
Same in most european countries 😅
Maybe America's sucky system is what's crazy
FYI, that might be a re-shelled zard 3ds. It’s missing the flame backplate that they came with from the factory.
Oh nooooo 😂
it also said custom in the description tbf xD
This week on Hoarders... we visit Austin Evans and his room of PS2s
Just cause you have 30 ps2s doesn’t make you a hoarder. I have 30 cats I’m not a hoarder
@@SweetKingTanner And i gamble 6+ hours a day but im not addicted, its just dedication

I was a trainee at Panasonic when the 3DO was released
23:31 this is for sure NOT a case and point for digital. Digital would mean they shut the servers down and the game is no longer accessible or at least the final form of the game is no longer accessible. This is a case in point for game preservation, modding, emulation and FPGA.
I paused the video as soon as I herd that........The over adoption of Digital only has done WAY more harm then good, Paying full price for the RIGHT to have access to a game for as long as they seem fit, The Live service game model which is killing the industry as a whole, The greedy practices of delisting older games because its *no longer profitable* making said game not playable even to people who paid for it....and the latest with BS from nintendo and there blinded attacks on rom and emulators is just morally wrong. Imagine if you go to a car dealership and buy a new car....you drive it and keep it nice for 10 years...then out of nowhere the dealership owner show's up at your house and takes your keys and drives off with your car saying *I don't want you to own this car anymore* would that be legal?? NO so why do we allow this crap to happen with Game servers and digital games????
This is one of my favorite unboxings you've done! Need more episodes like this!
The way y'all roast each other on set there reminds me of how my co-workers and I do the same at our MicroCenter store. Too funny. It's a shame some of the consoles in this video are DoA, but maybe you could give em to Ken and have him fix them? DON'T BREAK IT LIKE YOU DID THE PSX, Ken! lmao. Great video!
12:35 when I tell my parents that their house is cluttered so much by so many of the same things. 🤣🤣
Japan... Old consoles... WHERE IS DREAMCAST?!
consoles............................
I’m always excited to see a gaming video from Austin
On the red PS3 part: Knowing how to use sarcasm but not knowing how to detect when it's used back is the most on brand, nerdy personality trait I've ever seen on this channel.
Awesome video man 😎!
That Apple Pippin was the last time Apple took gaming somewhat seriously 😅
Yeah sadly it was a flop and a half... The SNES/upcoming N64 (at that point codenamed Ultra64)/PS1/Sega Saturn and other consoles that came out in 1994ish era had way more financial backing and support than the Pippin did... I would love to have one. I wonder what mods are out there for it, like maybe a disc-less mod... i.e. an ODE (Optical Disc Emulator)
It’s a Quadra 610
@@StSparky What is, the Pippin? The Quadra 610 was a 68k Mac (a 68040 @ 20 or 25 MHz to be more exact). Yes you could PPC upgrade it, but I doubt Apple would have done that... I can't imagine that'd be cost effective, unless that's what they did and that's why it was a flop/contributed it to be a flop hardware wise?
It was the first console to have a neural engine
@@ShiggitayMediaProductions was briefly a retailer support for non storefront Apple stuff - first ones were basically headless SE30s. The ones we saw were, you could even plug in the Intel daughter board. The ones to track down are the ones Bandai put into treadmills. Have a great day!
every episode lately has turned into..."when a gaming nerd grows up, starts a big youtube channel and way too much expendable cash....."
That red PS3 Slim isn't Japan-exclusive. I have one as a 3004 model (European). Looks really cool and I got it for quite cheap, because I bought it in parts. I don't know why the previous owner took it apart, but he couldn't get it back together again. There's also a blue model, that I still want.
Oh, and on the 3DO they should have gone with one of the best two games ever released: "Plumbers don't wear Ties" or "Night Trap".
Ken being SAVAGE that day. We need more of that.
I loved the 3do! Awesome console! Road rash on it was incredible!
thanks for traumatizing me with the duolingo sound @14:13
Hi Austin! Love what you did for Jonathan!
About a couple months ago, I came across a spice orange game cube on eBay, it was just the GameCube by itself with no power cords or anything. It was from a seller in Japan and they had also installed it with a region switch mod. Best thing about it $80 with $20 shipping. Best purchase I ever did since data showed that the spice orange gamecube essentially by itself I believe it’s like $200 loose
Did Austin flip the power switch on on the back of the PS2? LOL Seems like something he would forget
im watching this late at night and my eyes were starting to close when i jolted awake by the sound of 6:39
This is awesome 😁
16:30 The 3DO actually had quite a few decent games for it---the problem is that almost every good game on the 3DO got a PlayStation port a few years later. These days, collecting for the 3DO is paying a lot of money for games that are cheaper on a more common system.
In fact, the 3DO had very similar specs to the PlayStation. The problem is that it came out two years earlier and those specs cost 3x as much because of that.
I had a 3DO back in the day, it was an awesome console for the time, used to play Super Street Fighter 2 a lot on my 3DO, the controllers are good too =D
You can buy the outer shell from the charizard 3ds xl, I have modded one and bought it
Tronicfix is gonna be busy after this episode 🤣
sendico clearly knows who austin is for them to send them stuff. so wouldnt be surprised if the shipping was less for that reason
My father in law has a 3do he got when brand new, pretty cool piece of tech
So basically, in order to play the 3DO, you need to plug your cable into your friend who then plugs his cable into where the hole is?
I would not be surprised if Austin makes a museum of old consoles.
3:10 For everyone information, this is Japan exclusive Gold Famicom to celebrate JUMP 50th Anniversary (Home of your fav anime like DBZ, Naruto, OP and Bleach), that box design resemble that magazine cover. Inside it there is 20 games that adapted from JUMP manga release for Famicom
I still have my gamecube that my mom got me for my birthday or christmas and she also got the gameboy adaptor one of my favorite gaming things I own.
The 64DD is probably the only obscure console I've owned that I actually have used a lot (and also the only one I haven't sold). The F-Zero X Expansion Kit is really really good.
the best part. all of these consoles just need a drive slapped on with games you own and they just kind of run
Bought soulsilver with the pokewalker and everything, that boi came pristine like it’s new.
Japanese really takes care of their stuff, probably gonna buy all the pokemon games through sendico now
I’ve bought some old CDs and records from Japanese eBay sellers, and they’ve always came in perfect condition. 👍
Check out games like "Captain Quazar", "PO'd" and especially "Soccer Kid" for 3DO. It's definitely worth it. Soccer kid is a great side scrolling game. Tough too.
I used to play on a Panasonic 3do console at a movie and game rental place in Maine around 1993-1994
Road Rash on the 3DO was epic
“He said that so confidently and so wrong”
Me: like most comments on the internet!
i love how austin said "idk what that is" but its literally english written with katakana 19:40
This site sounds cool but the issue is the region locked. I would go after that link ps2 so fast but would need Japan games for it
i bought a white japanese super slim with the original box on marketplace for $30, wasn’t a bad deal
i had that 3do as kid :) was so fun i had road rash madden NFS street fighter and more i loved it for a wail
Austin obviously hasn't seen the sun and moon 3ds do that one is the best
I have the exact same 3DO console, but mine was made by Goldstar. From what I heard, the Panasonic controller sucked.
My top picks for 3DO would be BC Racers, Road Rash, SamSho, Space Hulk, and Quarantine. These are the games that I still have in my collection and occasionally bust out the system to play.
One of my childhood friends had that Blue PS2. The PS2 is the only one I've never owned.
i use to rent a 3DO from home vision back in 94/95 for $5 for the whole weekend man the good ole days.
my brother and i had 3DO and had wireless controllers if i remember correctly, they had a lot of really cool games.
Wow first NFS, the xillenials are appreciative 🎉
The GameCube is super easy to convert to US region, you just need to jump a couple of contacts. You can even install a switch to swap it back and fourth.
I've never been this early, I love your content man been a subscriber for a long time, love the whole family/crew ❤
That Blue PS2 is cool!!
Austin reminds me so much of Josh from Mythical Kitchen. Not that they look alike, really, just very similar personalities
another post by my goat
The repeated is it that console was hilarious
I used to have the other 3do model that had the disc tray on top that flipped open. 😅
Oh there it is! 😂 14:27
If the RUclips thing ever goes south they can start a museum.
The fact that’s he said we going to edit this when the games come and put the same fit back on 😂😂😂
I had a Gamcube with the GBA player, both fully boxed and they were PAL etc. Last year i sold them because times were hard. It hurts me to see the now.
Thats a Shonen Jump Mini NES Classic in Gold. I bought one when they came out from Asia Games (I think thats the website.)
Shoutout to the editor for putting a tiny lil austin at 15:20
3:07 Shout out to the editor who tossed in Earthbound battle music haha. Jolt back to 1998.
(Who am I kidding jolt to like 3 months ago on my phone lol)
Please tell me that you are gonna do a video swapping working PS2 hardware into the limited edition shells of the broken PS2s
I love my 3do. Had one in high school. Bought another one a year ago. I really need a new controller. Mine is wore out
I love your videos 😻
Shows kinda how much you know lmao! The phat ps2 always had a explanation part for a hard drive…
You should be able to unlock the blue PS2 using something like mechapwn.
I owned the fz-10. Yet i am old. Loved the 3do
idk about the us in 2001 but over here in canada i could swear that i have sen the orange gamecube in stores and other funky colors,
purple was just the basic default one that everyone had.
anyways hoarding ps2's? you should be on the show hoarders.
Anyone else think Austin should be made to fix as many of those ps2's as possible?? 🤔🤔😂
It’s not an Austin Evans video if he doesn’t play “Gran Turismo” on a PlayStation console! 😂
I’m starting to think Gran Turismo and Pokémon are the only games Austin has ever played lol.
You should get ahold of TronicsFix Longs he may love to get his hands on this vintage broken consoles.
One rare console that might would of been interesting to get was the Hello Kitty Sega Dreamcast complete with mouse and keyboard.
The Pippin controller looks like a different shape of a Dreamcast controller.
you have an addiction ... this must be stopped
Theres so many japanese exclusive consoles in japan its criminal, particularly the ps2s. Those milestone consoles are so nice, i wouldnt know how to react if i found the bright yellow fat PS2 with matching controller 😂
😮 Japan coming in clutch with rare consoles

I miss my 3d0, for the time it was awesome, way better then the lameo Phillips cd-i
They kissed the box and said "Good luck" then shipped it out.
Ooh, I still have this red ps3
I didn't know how to calculate it, but I wanted to figure out how much the loan would actually be. Chat GPT says it'd be a total of $97,532.03 after the 96 month term
You know Austin there are specialist console repair people. There are also specialists soldering people on RUclips like actually hardcore overclocking who might help you
The 3DO was amazing. Way too expensive, though. I actually got one but then returned it to get a Playstation. It's got the best Need for Speed, Madden, and Road Rash on any console.
i have and PS2 from the actual release, FROM japan, dirty inside but still works and plays dad baught it march 4 2000, and it onlyw works with input of 110v
‘It’s one of the consoles of all time’
I got a 3DO in the box w/ everything got $80 a few years ago.
I had the 3do FZ-10 from new. I got it to play need for speed. Wish I would have kept it.
dd with all games on 1 disk was nexz level stuff back then
Funny how they say 146$ are expensive for the 3DS. In Germany you get a ok`ish 3DS for that price. A special Edition is 250/300$ upwards.
The best way to play game boy games on GameCube is to get a GC loader and Swiss and using non-Nintendo software to launch the GBA player
i would still buy that blue ps2 just to keep in showcase
When I was a kid.. my dad's boss would stop by every christmas with a gift for the family. I was like 10 and only ever seen Super Nintendo and Sega so when he explained it played games on CDs and movies on discs it was like I went to the future. Between the system games and controllers he said it was over $1000 back in the 90s. Because it was so expensive my anal parents rarely let me play it but I remember being too young to really understand the adult games we had for it.
15:15 it's only questionable if you don't say "no questionable" after plugging yours into your friend's!
I would buy that blue ps2 and switch the insides to an American ps2 that blue looks so good
You're worried about being old...
I worked for Software Etc. when 3DO was actually an on-the-shelf item in our stores.
I SOLD THEM!
I have that exact PS2 in Aqua Blue since it released. But mine looks like shit because I used it everyday back then…I mean I was like 7 or 8 when I got it 😅
