Yes. Wagyu is expensive but they comes in category being A5 the highest. So, A4 is not like a $700 a kilo kind of expensive. Even A5 costs about $2-300 per kilo and the price drops drastically for lower grades. #lookitup
Compare to other omakase video i watched. This really didn’t compel me try. Rather than saying it was overpriced, because it’s pretty normal for omakase. The set offered is just not it for me. This one didn’t make me understand why i have to pay such price to eat that.
these are high quality ingredients with real wasabi ,which are very expensive. You are not only paying for the ingredients, but also the labor in creating the dishes
no ofense, but I guess this kind of places work outside Japan, but in Japan a real omakase sushi restaurant would never you wagyu beef grilled and I doubt about the fried prawn. In Japan every place only is specialized in one kind of food, but I guess that outside Japan many Japanese restaurants have to cater all sort of dishes, it's kinda common to find the place where they serve you yakisoba, sushi, tempura and ramen isn't it?
you do know omakase means "chef's choice" right? guy can probably even grab you a hot dog and say its part of the menu if he/she so desired it to be...
Seems like that's up to the store owner. The world never asked an owner to open a shop that has everything. We didn't ask for walmart. it just showed up. The people dont make the menu, the chef does. As such, if you own a store and cant decide to focus on 1 type of food that is the owner's choice. The world assumes too much about other countries. America included...I would rather eat at a sushi restaurant that has all live fish and killed that same day and serves only sushi, than a sushi restaurant that has tempura, ramen, soba, takoyaki, curry and everything else but with frozen sushi.
I wish i could work in omekase 😢 but i dont know if i can make it there. Sushi chefs are badly underpaid in my country. We dont het respect because of all you can eat concepts.
it's reasonable in the us. the minium wage in the philippines is 400 pesos roughly $10 a day and we still manage to eat in a $30 restaurant once in a while. in the U.S the minimun is roughly $80-$100 a day. i don't think it's a rip off
No variety. Too many short cuts. No soul here. Very disappointed. When u charge $180. U have to put some real efforts in. Btw. That sea bream doesn't seem from Japan. I could be wrong.
blue copper blue copper lololololololol u tried too damn hard to be a cool dude. I questioned for a reason. 1. High class Japanese omakase normally dont do sea bream. 2. This fish seems to be tilapia from Taiwan. I imported 3 tons of it from Taiwan every year. 3. I said I could be wrong. 4. My point is this omakase is way tooooo amateur for $180. Horrible looking of sushi. Lack of variety. Watch every omakase from Eater u will understand.
blue copper mad mad mad bro. Hahahahaha. Got triggered so much. I understand mate. It's life. Lololololololol. Be cool but not be fool. Lolol. Btw. I edit again here. English is my 2nd language. Too many grammar mistakes. But I m here to practise.
Qin Woodruff , it is seabream/Madai. There are many variants of seabreams in Japanese cooking , young, fatty, in the winter, wild, and farmed, and different species. Sea bream is one of the staples in Japanese cooking. Pretty much most if not all high end sushi or kaiseki restaurants use some variety of seabreams. Sea bream is one of the most favored shiromi/white fish ingredients in Japan.
@@qinwoodruff969 the moment you mentioned that sea bream is not used in "high class" Japanese omakase, it shows you know nothing. Go back to your sushi express meals.
But do they sell Japanese cuisine? No, they do not. I'm Chinese and I really don't care if I'm shitty on them. But like come on. This is Japanese and ur talking about Chinese. Like open ur eyes u fucktard.
Francis Chu ,ya they do sell sushi and ya they don't fancy plate it but they do offer a lot of different types as well as sashimi and poke and for the price difference I think it's worth it , Wow the Chinese people there seem a lot nicer, I would have thought your Asian parents would have taught you respect better ,
buy 2 tomatoes per day, eat it and you'll live reasonably healthy for a year... well if u wanna save money please do... you pay most of omakase for the experience and ofcourse the taste of the food made directly in front of you is better than buffet... but whatever floats your boat dude.
Rei yen , same fish, different craftsmanship to make it taste delicious. Please don’t downplay something unlesss you have done extensive R&D about something . It just sounds ignorant.
Nah, you're ignorant, dumb and lazy to go out and catch you're own fish for sashimi. I go out to dive and fish, I know what is fresh seafood you don't, that's why you pay overated japanese foods! smh
I think I wanna try this food
i'm drooling. this is too much for 9am. my meals for the rest of the day are going to suck.
everyone says its over priced but it actually isnt wagyu beef costs about 700 dollars per kilo fresh fish is expensive too
100k subs without vids , far from it. I pay $65 a lb. that is still very expensive for beef , just not $700 dollar for a kilo of expensive.
look it up
Yes. Wagyu is expensive but they comes in category being A5 the highest. So, A4 is not like a $700 a kilo kind of expensive. Even A5 costs about $2-300 per kilo and the price drops drastically for lower grades. #lookitup
thx
It was interesting to see.
the hojiso/hanaho flower can add in the dipping shoyu for sashimi, yum yum
The sushi looks yummy
You don't learn how to cook like a japanese, but you learn how to charge like a japanese lol
Good price. I would happily pay that for those courses and that experience
Everything is good, there isn't one thing I ordered that I didn't like, by far the best sushi around.
Pls try tatsuya at good wood park and hiryu

Showing you this love
Good chefs, good quality, good restaurant it's worth
Cool!)

This omakase is terrific!
Feed me this while someone else plays the violin
Rarely see these kind of Japanese restaurants anymore... serving old school sushi in its basic form
Crazy $180 for 7 course
180 for these courses? Compare to other 12-18 Michelin star sushi bar pieces, this is a real bargain.
130 American dollars. 180 singaporean

erm wagyu beef grilled is very very common in top restaurants in Japan. Its a common part of kaiseki grilled category. Wagyu sashimi is the niche one.

At first i thot wah! $180 for 7 course is too ex.....Cos some sushi Omakase they consider 1 Pc of sushi as 1 course like Yasuda
No Tomago at the end? Fruit is nice, but I like the egg as a finish. Breaking traditions! You make amazing sushi!
すごいとてもおいしいそうです。I love Japanese food おSushi & Sashimi ლ(╹◡╹ლ)
not gonna lie...sounds like a scam for 180...paid video?
This is actually still pretty reasonable, especially with the portions he is offering.
its singapore what do you expect? everything is expensive
It’s omakase and their was a piece of a4 Wagyu which is expensive. Also wasabi is really expensive.

Yes. It's a normal $15 a dish restaurant meal standard and put 2 pieces fat tuna & an A5 beef then became a $180 omakase. Shame.
It's not a value store quit complaining bout the price enjoy the food.
180 dolarres for a 7 course that includes a desert with mini canabis leaf im down for it haha
For dessert you have momo, melon and marijuana
Wondering.. if those fishes are cooked 🙄 cause I don't know anything about Japanese food
All raw, that's the point of sushi
Everything is raw.
Can anyone tell me how it tastes and how your mouth reacts to it.
Not everything is raw.
I dont think that make me fed up
Hold the law plawn....
lol I don't think 180 dollars is casual
for a japanese sushi omakase dinner in sg? Yes. Kimura, shinji, Ichi, Hashida, Ayumu, all goes upwards of $350-$450, even $550 for dinner set meals.
Honestly, 20 dollars ingredients, $30 presentation and works, the rest is bullshit people say to scam the rick
Just go to a 20 dollar buffet and get better food
