RUclips comment and 6 likes 💀
Who is in charge of this channel
The Onigiri you got at 7-11 actually has a tab at the top that you rip off and slide the wrapper out on each end, so you dont even need to move the nori. It stays wrapped around the rice and only gets into contact with the nori once you take the wrapper off.
OMg i was about to say this

lmao so true so true
Lamo the fact that I don’t know how to open the sushi without ripping the seaweed
It hurts my Asian soul seeing him do that😂

Hey nick, if you follow the instructions on the 711 sushi, theres is a way to pull the sleeve off between the rice and seaweed so you dont have to fold or roll at all.
They literally say 1-2-3, the order to pull them

To open the onigiri, there are numbered tabs on the wrapper that you pull, so the plastic gets pulled out and the seaweed stays on it. Hoped this helped!
yeah just pull the ends of the onigiri. i was wondering why he had to take the rice and seaweed out seperately lmao

I died inside when he opened it wrong😭😭😭
All that struggling just to realize you opened it wrong.

You should make the largest sushi role in the world
For the onigiris at @1:00, you need to follow the steps 1 to 3 to open it up properly. This way you will simply peel the inner layer separating the seaweed and rice.
Yes, I was going to say that, nick lacking😊 instructions

Hi!! I’m glad that you enjoyed japan!! just want to let you know your way to open triangle shape onigiri is wrong that’s why it was tricky. All you have to do is open the bag according to the number written on the rice ball bag. You can check and try next time !! 😊

I am so jealous of people who get to travel and get to try different foods all over the world. This is especially my favorite type of food and I’m super jealous of this guys experience!
Me too
@@jamesbanios9476 Yeah sure, thats what my dad and I thought too, go to Japan for a grand each and maybe 2 grand of food there, yeah with the hotel, meals, and trip to Kyoto, that 4,000 really quickly turned into 10,000. The restaurants he went to easily cost 400-3,000 each because there were 3 people, Don't get me wrong, the experience is an incredible once in a life time thing, but when the room service the night you get in cost 400 it gets a little pricey. Don't get me wrong though, there are tons of much cheaper places where you may not be able to eat the best sushi, but you will get to eat things like the best ramen, katsu, and yakatori, you won't get to have the special otoro, redsnapper, and the wagyu. Definitely still would recommend, Tokyo is the most beautiful city in the world by far even more so than Paris, Barcelona, NYC, LA, Zurich, etc. Its so clean, theres a beautiful garden on every block, most people are super respectful except for the racist old people, and the street life is amazing.
Don’t worry you can go to the small shops and get a 3 pound sushi pack
If you can dream it, you can do it! Don’t be jealous! I am 40 and I’ll go to Japan one day!
I am a 13 year old cook working in my parents brewery, and your videos, not only help me learn and master new skills, but also show just how beautiful the art of cooking really is, and inspire me to keep learning and mastering it.
I saw Lynja's vlogs and they were a lot of fun! Its great to see your perspective now, its awesome how even the cheaper sushi at places like 7-11 are also really good for the price! It was also fun to see all the different sushi like the wagyu sushi and things you did while there but I wont spoil it for everyone else watching this video ;)
Can you make a longer version of this episode? It all looks amazing and to see more of the chefs process and taste of the food would be neat.

I can recommend the documentary „Jiro Dreams of Sushi“ for that. It’s about a three Michelin star sushi chef in Tokyo.

For the onigiri, there is a flap on the back that has the number 1 on it. You pull it down and it splits the plastic in half then you pull on the remaining plastic on the sides. The seaweed sticks to the rice after the plastic is pulled off.
