The Onigiri you got at 7-11 actually has a tab at the top that you rip off and slide the wrapper out on each end, so you dont even need to move the nori. It stays wrapped around the rice and only gets into contact with the nori once you take the wrapper off.
Lynja saying “every experience is so special” hits a little different now knowing what she was going through 🥺 rip angel, you touched many people and left an amazing mark on the world ❤️
Hey nick, if you follow the instructions on the 711 sushi, theres is a way to pull the sleeve off between the rice and seaweed so you dont have to fold or roll at all.
To open the onigiri, there are numbered tabs on the wrapper that you pull, so the plastic gets pulled out and the seaweed stays on it. Hoped this helped!
@edwardbecker118fired probably? Nope...he appeared for a frame, when they were celebrating their catching a fish Its probably manny filming this all 😂
For the onigiris at @1:00, you need to follow the steps 1 to 3 to open it up properly. This way you will simply peel the inner layer separating the seaweed and rice.
Hi!! I’m glad that you enjoyed japan!! just want to let you know your way to open triangle shape onigiri is wrong that’s why it was tricky. All you have to do is open the bag according to the number written on the rice ball bag. You can check and try next time !! 😊
Random Japanese here. Your enthusiasm and dedication towards food (not only ours but from all over the world) is greatly appreciated, hope you had fun in Tokyo! :)
Its insane to see how you have progressed from level 1 to level 10 sushi. Not only that, this video have also shown how japanese takes pride in their sushi and how good japanese sushi can get compared to the rest of the world. Just incredible and insightful
@7kSubsFromNoVideos its not that they are built different. They take pride in the things that they do and ensure that they master the skills before serving or opening a restauranr to serve people
I'm glad your longer videos are being recommended. It's a relief from the urge to scroll endlessly whenever I wanna see your videos, nick! And a sushi video, that's awesome!
That sushi chef is Chef Hiro who is one of the most famous master sushi chefs. You can even get a private lesson with him on how to make some basic sushi showing his proper technique.
For the onigiri, there is a flap on the back that has the number 1 on it. You pull it down and it splits the plastic in half then you pull on the remaining plastic on the sides. The seaweed sticks to the rice after the plastic is pulled off.
For those sushi rolls you bought in 7-11, please read the instructions and numbers. It shows you how to open the rolls in a correct way, and you need not to wrap them by your own in free style😂
Man there is nothing more beautiful than finding people who know how to truly turn their craft into art. Watching masters make sushi, or anything really, is beautiful.

That sushi chef is Chef Hiro who is one of the most famous master sushi chefs. You can even get a private lesson with him on how to make some basic sushi showing his proper technique.
The battle for freshness in Japanese sushi begins the moment the fish is caught. That's what sets it apart from sushi abroad.
