local co-op usually means you can sit on the couch with your buddy and play on the same screen as them. People call it "couch co-op" also for this reason. It's usually the opposite of "online co-op"

Thing is it ain't even the og devs but rather another contracted group whos KNOWN to have down fantastic pixel art yet decided to ditch large portions of the original games values.

This just looks like every other cartoonish style 3d game, risk of rain, hades etc, and there's been thousands of roguelikes released in the last years, so apart from the online co-op it just looks like a generic cartoonish 3d roguelike. Cartoon 3d graphics are just so generic everyone does it nowadays. This is why pixel art is still king, nobody gets bored of that, and you can get pretty creative with it. Also there's ton of pixel art games that are not cheap.

pixel art is cheap, u can sell the game for a cheap price too. but in 3D u can sell ur game more expensive.
