Maam I think pronunciation is not important for scientists they don't waste their time in pronounciation they directly do experiment pronounciation is not important because it is not necessary because speak is a medium through which we describe our feelings . Though pronunciation doesn't matter but still if you pronounce the word correctly then maybe you wouldn't face embarrassing moments in your course. Imagine you said the right answer to a question that was asked openly over a discussion in your class, but your pronounciation was wrong whereas your friend said the same but with the correct pronunciation and your teacher praises them and criticizes you. Few teachers are like that so it's better to avoid situations that are uncalled for. :)
