i have a honda crv 1995 model rd1 ist generation, however it carries an EGT sensor that only have a one wire connection at the plug in section but i have looked all over the internet and so far only finding two wire ones. Can the two wire EGT sensor be used to replace the one wire sensor. Is one of the wires actually a ground wire?

hey guys, i know it's been a while and you've probably figured it out. if it's anything like my 30 year old O2 sensor i just replaced. they're very similar. i read a trick i thought was BS but damn it worked great. obviously spray a bunch of penetrating oil best you can and let it sit for a bit. grab one of those little cupcake or birthday candles and heat up the bung while pressing the candle into the top of the threads best you can. it's best if you have the proper socket like this guy with the notch for the wire but you can use a wrench as well (it just twists the wire and you may not have a lot of room for the wrench). see if it will start to break free, if it does kinda work it back and forth and then a little more out at a time, be patient cuz you don't want to break this thing. again, i thought it was old wives tale but it worked great for me for both my O2 sensor and my EGR valve in a 1990 ford that was CRUSTY!:)))-barbie

Put my 13mm spanner on the sensor and it wouldnt budge, started to round the nut.
Also no idea, and very difficult to follow wire back to engine bay where it is lost to sight ?
