Love the channel Sam I wish I could buy some sheep from you guys and I live in Utah I don't think that would work I really enjoy you guys are all about I learn so much thanks for taking me along Pat filler at the end he looked buggered up take care God bless
Thanks for explaining about the 🐑 passport and card and process of booking the stock into the auctioneer system in order to sell or buy I suppose And how the auctioneer works this traditional system We mustn’t loose this way Sheila is so content and so much aware 🤩🤩❤️❤️😀 I wore hand knitted jumpers and cardigans as a baby Relatives, friends of my parents would knit
Lovely knitwear, this gran has knitted fancy sweaters for the granddaughters. My daughter has put them in a museum bag along with her wedding dress. They don’t want the hand knits once they are teenagers.
Oh Sam, those beautiful knitted jumpers are to be treasured as you said. They are beautifully knitted with love by your granny and Sheila will be so lucky to have her chance to wear them. Afterwards I would put them away for your children's children that would be just memorable for your granny. These are all now the trend and they cost a fortune you are lucky your wonderful granny gives them to you. I have noticed how very close you are with your whole family your dad taking you out in his lorry your mum having the children your sisters going to London with you or shopping with you. It's so refreshing to see a genuine loving close family. What a treat to watch you. Oliver is right I bet he got no thanks for helping that plonker who can't drive properly driving mad on a country road in frosty conditions he should have finished his tea then gone and helped the pillock. Thank you Sam for the wonderful content as usual. Keep your beautiful family and yourself safe in this weather.
beautiful knitting by gran. My mam knit when I was a kid - I never had a shop-bought jumper or woolly hat 'til after she passed. Does anyone knit these days? All them sheep, all that wool and aye, I know knitting yarn probably isn't wool from Britain but all the same... Lads got their four wheel drive land rover stuck? Oliver would be right that they need to learn to drive!
If the battery is testing ok but the old Val is still a lazy starter on a cold morning, get an auto electrician to make you up some new battery cables for between battery and starter. It sounds daft but they wear out, particularly if they're warm and cold a lot rather than running all day. If that doesn't work fit an Iskra geared starter, which will turn it over quicker.
Another good video Sam nice to see Raymond Lund there but strange not seeing him auctioning the sheep ,must not be able to stay away.Hope Sheila gets better soon xxx
Sam, your children are beautiful! And your grandmother’s cardigans are extra sweet! Farmers are very kind people, for sure! I hope Oliver takes your dr visit advice, SOON! Thank you again!
Do a drop test on the battery as you are just testing voltage with the meter, 12v is low ! Then check the terminals are clean and the earth to the engine and chassis ! When buying a battery look at "cranking amps" very important.
Hello Sam, hope Oliver is feeling better, men are terrible at going to the doctors! Thought that Land Rover was going to end up in the ditch the other side 😂 I not surprised Oliver had a few choice words 😮. Your Gran is amazing at knitting I’ve done a few bits over the years but nothing as fancy as those patterns. I see you follow Cammy too, will we see Jock and Angus in Sam Shutt hoodies? ❤
Now you have a multy Meter put it on the battery and see where the volt drop when you tern the starter and if the volts drop down to 11 or 10 or 9 the battery is on it's way out
you might need a battery that's got a bit more ummff if you know what i mean........quite a few standard battery's are only 700 amps i believe but the beefier ones are 800/900 amps. is there a pub near your farm ........looks like your friend in the landy might have had one too many and missed the road while swerving from side to side. during storm bert there was a big oak branch snapped off a tree just down the road from my farm and landed in the road on sunday afternoon .......it wasn't one of my trees but me being a pillar of society i went down with my tractor and loader and chainsaw on a wet sunday afternoon and cleared the tree for the benefit of the local community.......i thought to myself i wonder if keir starmer or rachel reeves would do that but they'd like a slice of my farm when i die though
Which market is closer, need to add in travel costs, might make a couple extra quid but could lose that extra in diesel Takes time to add in a jump every morning lol It's a wonder his diff wasn't ripped off dropping off the road like that Knitting a dying art for sure Take care all Geoff
the voltage while you are cranking is important ........testing it while you are cranking will tell you .......anything below 9 volts while cranking is not good
Hi Sam, another top video , you really are on top of your game. Sorry that Oliver is not well, hope he get's sorted soon. . . Oliver, I don't think it's a battery issue, please check for corrosion around where the earth lead connects to the body. . Also if you have any old jump lead, make a connection on to a good rust free part of the engine/ body and the couple it on to the negative terminal of the battery. . See if that works. if it does great if it doesn't . I have a couple more things I would like you to do before you spend any money. 🙂
Why are those few guys sitting in the ring ? I také it they are buyers. In Ireland that doesn't happen as they would be taking there turn to buy different lists as cheap as they can. We call it STALLING.
Hi Sam good video again I see two loverly girls at the sales little lady taking note now and nice to see the little man as well his like both of you hard workers you do very well my girl 😊😊😊😊😊😊your grandma has made a lovely job of them 😊😊😊
Well done Oliver.
Well done to your Grandma for all that knitting ❤.
Now following ewe on Facebook 😊

Check the voltage when cranking the engine over. The battery can still be knackered and show over 12v but will died when under load.
Another good video Sam nice to see Raymond Lund there but strange not seeing him auctioning the sheep ,must not be able to stay away.Hope Sheila gets better soon xxx
Would it be the alternator not charging up the battery and you should use sheep's wool and make the small clothes and sell them
Sam, your children are beautiful! And your grandmother’s cardigans are extra sweet! Farmers are very kind people, for sure! I hope Oliver takes your dr visit advice, SOON! Thank you again!
Thank you so much!

That bull calf made a great recovery. Do you mind me asking what did you inject him with. Lovely calves. Will sell well in the spring. 👍
We used tetroxy great for foot rot and recommended by our vets to! So we always have some in
Hi Sam and Oliver get the starter checked on the Valtra could be what’s draining the battery
It's interesting how much the sheep prices vary.
Hopefully Sheila is getting better.
❤❤❤❤

what a well organised auction mart
a little bit more organised than Lerwick

Bott a bad price Sam well done I think it's alternator on tractor tractor or lazy starter
I meant not a bad price

Doesn't happen in New Zealand either, also sellers aren't allowed to move their stock around in the ring
@@keithroberts4559 really !? That's interesting
@GregoryMcNulty yes buyers are very close to the ring. So they can feel them . Ah right ! Very interesting!
❤

Get Oliver a mask for the dust in the shed
Oliver Oliver needs a check up
Must be worth fattening a swale lamb rather then selling it store for 50
Yes definitely worth fattening them prob cost 20 quid tho but still getting the 100 mark
Its not a legal requirement so your doctors is acting illegally
@markhyde1714 I've tried everything to register him without him having to go in and they won't have it 🤣
@Sam-shutt that's ridiculous he needs a check up my doctors in Selby were not lik that when I moved to them from another local doctors
