I have a can of SPAM and a can of Dinty Moore stew in my cabinets. I forgot it had a crank key and you opened the can in the middle. It used to be fun to open the can. Japan has Kentucky Fried Chicken for Christmas. You have to order it early or they run out of it. Glad you and Katy had such fun. I loved the gift shop. Thanks for bringing us along. Take care and be safe.
My dad was a Korean War vet, and he always told me about eating a lot of Spam when he was over there. He loved it until the day he died. Also, I was the sidekick on a local radio station's morning show back in the '90s. One morning, we decided to call Hormel as a joke. We ended up talking to the nicest lady. She sent us a big box of Spam promotional items to giveaway. Of course, I brought some to my dad. Enjoyed the video. Thank you!!
Pleased to see the 'Lend a Hand' display. Despite the consignments sent to Britain during WW2 being subjected to rationing, my family often commented on what a lifesaver it was during those dark days. Really enjoyed this tour, many thanks Jordan and Katie.
Hey Jordan and Katie! Y’all are beyond precious together! She’s a KEEPER Jordan! This was such a fun and awesome vlog!! God Bless y’all now and always! Safe travels!
I had so much fun watching this video i never there was a spam museum and i am glad you and Katie were having such a good time, tell that handsome pup we enjoyed seeing him.
I grew up eating Spam. I loved the stuff. My mother did a great job making it. Thanks for the Spam museum. A relative worked for Hormel and we got all kinds of Spam things. Including a Spam can radio. It's great with pineapple. Regards to you,Katie and Jah. Greetings from Columbus OH.
Jordan I am 68 years old and have never tasted SPAM I may have to try it now. Your girlfriend is absolutely beautiful. Thanks again for taking us along on a great adventure.
A few years back I drove from montana to New York City for a month to visit family. On the way we passed a sign on the interstate that told about the spam meuseum , my girlfriend at the time and myself both thought it was a joke !!!! Thank you Frank from montana for this one , JORDAN
I’ve had a lot of Spam in my life as I’ve lived in MN my entire life. You used to be able to buy the flavors made for other countries at our Minnesota State Fair. It was fun to try them all. Welcome to MN!
Who would think that SPAM would have its own museum! Katie and you were having a blast! I might even give Spam a try! Another of your adventures now on our list to visit! Thanks!
Spam is a staple in most southern households. I personally like it fried and eaten as a breakfast food. Hope you all have a great holiday weekend. ~Love&Light♥️C.
My Mom use to tell us about having to eat Spam during the war years. And that was in So. Calif. I love it. I can't believe how many different flavors there are.
Thanks Jordan and Katie for bringing us with you to the House of Spam! Very nice of that lady to share samples with you. I am so old I remember when there was just the original classic spam. There's a bunch of interesting/unusual flavors now!!!
Wow.. I’ve been in England too long because I never knew there are so many flavors of Spam!!! I’d love to try them all!! Thanks Jordan and Katie for this fun video!! ❤❤
I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii from the mid 80's to the late 90's. When I was there, one of the local supermarkets had one of the oddest promotions/events I had seen to date. It was a Spam carving contest. One which surprisingly drew a large crowd.
Y'all are so cute together. Katie reminds us of the Tea Time Movie Girl from Johnny Carson when she stands behind you and smiles.❤ We love Spam for breakfast with eggs.
I never knew there was a Spam Museum Jordon- When I went to Oahu a while back went to McDonalds there. Was very surprised to see a Spam burger on there menu. To what I understand Spam is very popular in Hawaii. Nice seeing you Again Katie
I drove by the Hormel Factory in Austin many years ago, which is along the Interstate. One of the most heavenly smells that I have ever encountered. Another great video, Jordan!! :)
My mom baked it with pineapple jelly on top. I put it in the microwave with brown sugar and a little water. My brother bakes spam with brown sugar and orange juice. I got a Spam cookbook in Hawaii for my nephew. He slices it and fries it up for a Spam sandwich. I get him 2-3 cans every year for Christmas.

A SPAM museum! Only Jordan the Lion could take us there. Spam has taken an unfair beating in recent years, but it is a good product----try the Spam with real bacon. I was born in Minnesota, but this was a fun surprise. Thank you once again!
If you been to Hawaii especially as a young kid you got spam and if your parents liked it you got it once you came home which we did I love Spam and eggs
It's really strange, I love bacon and I love ham, but I don't really like spam, I know that rhymed and I didn't mean to 😊 My parents are lovers of spam to this day! Awww, Jordan and Katie a spam match made in heaven ❤ Another great vlog!!!
I used to live at the end of main street there. I hope the rendering plant was not blowing the wind towards main street that day, and I hope it wasn't humid as well. If you are looking at the front of the museum, behind it, and maybe 1/10 mile to the left is the rendering plant. There's a map of all the restaurants in town that serve spam.
Awesome blog Jordan you need to get a spam Christmas tree ornament for your Christmas tree that you keep up all year round by the way I do that too. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one.
Mahalo from Hawai'i! It's said that our state is the Spam consuming capitol of the USA. They say only Japan eats more Spam than we do; I just had some in my breakfast this morning. Continued safe journeys to you all! Aloha!
So fun to see the Lees together again in a Vlog❤❤ we love Spam in our house also , Fried Spam with Au Gratin Potatoes, and green bean casserole such a Staple in our house🏡 Thanks for a fun Vlog today 💕
Spam fries were a feature of a little second floor "hof" or bar located in the Hongdae district of Seoul, South Korea around 6-8 years ago. Quite a treat (they love love Spam in Korea!)
Hi Jordan. That was a cool video. Did not realize there were so many different kinds of spam. Also Jeff and I forgot to tell you thank you for introducing your girlfriend to all of us. She is very pretty and fun and we both are so happy for you
I never knew you boil it to remove some of the salt before eating it. During hurricane season I buy 3 cans for my emergency box. Great video and Jordan I just love Katie she is perfect for you❤❤❤

Jordan, If you have time go to the Forestville/Mystery State park. It is close to Austin--really cool. Also, up Hwy.61 in Wabasha is the Natonal Eagle Center. It's on the Mississippi River. Both places WORTH the drive. Also; one of my favs at our State Fair is the Spam food. Thanks for returning to my home state. It's a nice place to live. Have a nice Memorial Weekend with Katie!😄
Well, Jordan...You just sold some more SPAM for Hormel! I've been thinking about what I want for lunch and then this popped up. Time to stock up the pantry. 🐷
SPAM was very popular when I lived on Guam. It was available in some form in nearly every restaurant. I was told it was because it was introduced to locals by US sailors during WWII.
I can't get LaVictoria Mild Taco Sauce in Wichita, KS. I always had it in AZ. I need to have my daughter bring some out to me in November. You were just at my new home in KS.
Wow that's just really full Museum I never got to see it actually picked up pork products from Hormel plant in in Wisconsin I also picked up in Rochelle Illinois and hold it up to the spam plant processing plant is right down the road from there
Okay I loved this!! I like Spam! We used to eat it all the time when we were kids. I had no idea there were different flavors! I bet the teriyaki was good! I love when you show the merch at these gift shops and stores. I always see stuff I want! Haha!
@Daze with Jordan the Lion Albert Lea is my hometown. Ive met Marian Ross. I think that when they unveiled her statue that was her last trip to Albert Lea due to her age. Don't forget to drive by Hormels
@@DazewithJordantheLion I don’t think you’ve covered the MN State Fair yet! 😉 There is truly nothing like it & Jah would have a blast!! I feel certain you would love the state fair Seed Art (google pics)….
Another great tour video. Please let us know what Katie makes for you out of the spam. I think the maple syrup and the hickory smoked spam would be great in something!
Ok. Now I have to try Spam! Great tour. Your vid prompted me to research the Hormels. I was thrown when you read a placard that said 'George Hormel turned the company over to his son Jay Hormel until his untimely death.' What happened?? Turns out George was 84 when he passed, and Jay was in his 60's, so no story there, just some disappointed Hormel employees, I guess. But you missed the best part! Remember the Spam guitars?? Well Jay Hormel's grandson is Smokey Hormel. (Yes, for real.) He is a famous and accomplished guitarist! He's 64 and has played with and toured with some of the biggest names in show business - so many, I won't even try to name them. He even was the guitarist on Johnny Cash's last albums with Rick Reuben uncluding Cash's cover of "Hurt." He didn't need to be good, though, as his family's net worth is $9.8 Billion dollars as of last Thursday. (😳) Yes, I enjoyed your tour THAT much.
What a fun video to watch. You guys have so much fun together. I can't believe how many flavors of Spam there are.
