I have both Yamaha and Casio Keyboards and I like the Casio just slightly better. I had an older Casio CTK-611 or Radio Shack Concertmate 990 but it eventually broke after 23 years. I love the editing features on Casio keyboards over the Yamaha keyboards. You have to spend a lot more money in the Yamaha to get all the editing features.

All Sarah Schrauf, is this first arranger keyboard you own? My opinion is you made a great choice, despite of what some people says about Casio, they made many great and unique products back in time, for sure with the best price/performance/features ratio. I have an older MZ-2000 thats for the time is one of my favourite keyboards, comparable with the top-line Yamaha/Roland/Ketron/Korg of same age. This CTK-7200 is an excellent example of affordable fully featured , good quality arranger with very good overall sound quality, a nice tone wheel Organ section and many programmable features. I'm sure you will not regret your choice. My best for you. Btw nice presentation.
my favorite part about this keyboard is the effect you can add , and the draw bar organ , i say its the best starter keyboard

Ctk 7200 is a toy, ct-x5000 is a total beast
I don't know anything about the x5000, but the 7200 is good enough for me and what I use it for. If I want to upgrade in the future though, I'll keep the 5000 in mind!
