      Are the sliders on the left just for the organ or do they affect all tones?

    I just looked in the online manual, and yes, you can adjust the scale, there are 17 preset scales, most look indian/arabic, or you can manual enter the temperment for each note, really cool, you can set it to play quarter tones and such.

    Thanks for the review. Why didn’t I find your channel earlier? I purchased this one 2 years ago and this is surprisingly good for its price. Love the onboard Indian tones ans styles as an Indian singer. 🎹🎶🎹🎶🎶🎹🎶🎹🎶💙

    Your microphone doesn't do this keyboard justice - and I don't mean that as an insult to you or your equipment.
    I've trialled many keyboards and can't think of any (except for a couple of ridiculously expensive ones) that sound as good.
    And having the ability to tweak it to your liking only makes it better, so you can as much as possible out of and a sound system.

    Just a question in your review you say the Casio can record in wave file format ,is this standard wave file format that can be used anywhere ,or do you need to download a format changer to make it to standard wave format ,also is the CTK 7000 the same wave file recording? thanks ,great review .

    I am trying to find a keyboard with a good sequencer and afordable price. But a keyboard that is not Hard to program. But my options are Wk7600/Ctk 7200 and Ctx 5000/3000. What is more friendly? (Or others?)

      @gearfacts  Год назад +1

      The WK series is ok. The CTX-3000/5000 are unbelievably hard to program...avoid!

    Ct-x: just awesome.

    • @gearfacts

      Yeah the CT-x certainly rendered the CTK obsolete overnight eh :) Gearfacts

    • @leerobinson8709
      @leerobinson8709 5 лет назад +3

      Nonsense. The ctk 'toy' has drawbar organ and Leslie simulator that rivals that of more expensive organ simulators for a fraction of the price of you care to search on YT. Not only that but they have a 76 key version and I can edit and layer sounds too and get very usable sounds. The ctx is serious and sounds great but the ctk is no toy...

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  5 лет назад +2

      Actually that is a true point, the final few CTK models like the 7200 reviewed here were the real deal. It would be more accurate to say that the "three-digit" CTK keyboards were toys. And most of them were, but even in three-digit models there are some notable exceptions like the 671 which had a pretty good synth capability.

    You may be reviewing from the UK, in America the CTX series from Casio far outperform these older models CTK7200 and WK7600. You viewers should NOT be considering this keyboard if the CTX are available in your country. Are you recording through the video camera microphone or external microphone, or are you recording through the outputs of the Casio? The recorded sound is very bad sounding, I own the WK7600 Casio and it has the exact same sounds, it sounds much better than this RUclips video recording.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  6 лет назад

      You're way behind the 8-ball, WM! I've been reviewing CT-X series keyboard for months. Must be that international date line thing ;) I'm just jivin' you man ...I'm in a better mood today!

    • @WildernessMusic_GentleSerene
      @WildernessMusic_GentleSerene 6 лет назад

      Okay, so why would you wish for your viewers to consider a CTK over a CTX? I have heard that the price in other countries is not the same in U.S. I am basing my purchase decision on the U.S. pricing which is CTX3000 = $300.00 and CTX5000 = $450.00. These are the same prices as CTK and WK respectively. The reivewed sounds of the CTX I have heard on RUclips from high quality recordings far exceed the sound quality of CTK and WK; since you have already had a CTX in your hands do you agree?

    • @gearfacts
