Thank you Jamie! I really am starting to see an improvement after 2-3 weeks of this. I have tried a number of things including ultrasound and this was the most effective treatment I've found. Thanks so much!

I've been investigating ways to treat tennis elbow and discovered a fantastic website at Secret Elbow Tactics (google it if you're interested)

I tried the video on the box and it just didn't describe like you do. After watching your video, it truly helped me to know how to use this Therband Flexbar for my LEFT are.... the brochure video was just not cutting it. You were right when you said by watching a video that didn't apply to the "left" arm was confusing. Thank you

I used my set of three flex bars several years ago following Jamie’s videos on tennis elbow and it helped cure me. Fortunately I still have them but now I have bad golfer’s elbow so I dig them out of the drawer and looked up this video on that. Starting self-therapy today. I firmly believe from experience that these injuries need gradual tissue strengthening to heal. When I try complete rest for weeks the injury usually comes back immediately after resuming the activity. Also I don’t play tennis or golf, I just tend to overdo the gym stuff sometimes 😎

Thanks for sharing, Glen. How's it coming along?

I'm off to kind of a rough start actually. The attachment spot on the inside of my elbow is still REALLY sore and tender. The pain at that spot isn't getting better after about a week off from weight training, and is especially bad when I wake up. I'm wondering if I'm continuing to aggravate it by continuing to ride an Airdyne bike, by getting too aggressive with the rehab exercises too soon, or by my attempts to massage the painful spot.

@@glenacord I noticed in the morning after sleep it can be sore. I use a wrist brace and elbow brace in bed and that speeds up my healing. Try it.

    Thanks Jamie !
I took delivery on my FlexBar this morning. Can I ask a dumb question - if epicondylitis
is an overuse injury, why is the cure more activity ? I have tried rest for my weight training induced elbow problems and it works - if you quit forever. Once activity is restored, mine comes roaring back.
    Thanks

Hey bro I’m 28 now dealing with the same issue. I know your comment is 4 years old. But did you have any success in getting rid of this pain? I’ve been dealing with this 1 year due to never taking rest days at gym.

It helped with the pain… but I was never able to straighten my elbow.

Hey man! Great videos - I'm a big fan of them. I'm suffering from golfers elbow. Would it be any better if to did the exercises twice a day 3 sets of 15 reps instead of only once a day? Or do the tendons need the time to heal?
I'm just very eager to get rid of this elbow-problem as soon as possible, so I'll do anything to speed up the recovery.
    Thanks again :-)

Great video, I've just bought the thickest flex-bar and can't feel it working my tendon. I'm at an advanced stage in my recovery. Am I wasting my time if I can't feel it working?

Maybe a dumb question but is it ok to continue weight training in conjunction with doing this rehab, or wait until the pain is eliminated before resuming? I only have a mild(ish) case of GE
    Many thanks

Are there any exercises for dequarvein's syndrome? (I'm not sure if I spelt that correctly). I've getting great results from the flexbar on my tennis and golfer's elbow but my dequarvein's is still lingering. Thanks.

Thanks for the video! Question:. Once I get the bar twisted, is there any reason I can't just do wrist curls in the down position? Or is it better to start back at the top?

Jamie I have a mild but nagging GE injury should I get the red or green bar?

  • @OllyV

Hi Jamie, thanks for the video. I got my golfers elbow from a combo of gym, martial arts and guitar - all of which still cause a lot of pain. It kind of went away for a while, but I started training heavily again, had my arm yanked and now it's worse than ever before.
I've got a massage stick and flexbar, and have been following your advice. My question is : how sore/painful would you expect it to be while doing these exercises? As I start to unwind my hand, it's very painful. I've been doing the exercises for about a week, and it actually feels worse.
Does it normally get worse before it gets better, or do you think maybe reduce the reps/sets?
Also, can you clarify, when unwinding the hand of the effected side; do you unwind it past 'flat' (perpendicular to the floor)? That's where it hurts the most. Thanks in advance for any help, much appreciated.
