john looks 25 but speaks like he's from 1925
Arya Ess He’s immortal, man. He was probably a newsie and was also probably a radio host in the thirties.
He's been hanging out with Spider-Noir
I hear a bit of Phil Hartman in his voice from time to time.
how many people from 1925 have you spoken with?
We should go back to the transatlantic accent :)
Let's see...Bill Hader says John Mulaney is the funniest person ever, John Mulaney says James Anderson is the funniest person ever, if I keep following this track I'll eventually find the truly funniest person ever.
I was thinking the same thingggg
Silvia Mayo it’s John mulaney.
Mulaney said James Anderson is the funniest WRITER you'll ever WORK WITH.
Maybe itll come back around and James will say Bill Hader is the funniest!! 😂
@@filmfangirls9163 Perfect.
John Mulaney and Grant Gustin should do a bit on SNL called "I'm not the Flash"
This would be a blessing
and it should start with grant trying to live his life with people thinking he's the flash and he keeps saying "thanks but I'm just an actor there's no flash" but then john runs up in the costume and grants like wtf are you doing and johns says something about being afraid of aging and needing the attention
adversely, "We are the flash"
Better idea: John Mulaney should guest star on an episode of the Flash. Or maybe John Mulaney could just be the Flash for an episode.
erm4gundr An alternate reality version of Barry Allen who became a stand up comedian instead.
Imagine being John Mulaney’s wife and having him just storm in and yell “I’m sick of being the Flash!” How do you even respond to that?
Fletch Ryans Apparently with a sick burn
I think I'd respond, "Then stop wearing that trenchcoat and freaking everybody out."
I suppose the same way you respond to anything else when you're John Mulaney's wife.
i can honestly say i have imagined being John Mulaney's wife
anna is a true champ
The fact that the wrote the lobster sketch before Les Mis was even a movie, got rejected by Seth, and then waited until they were head writer and host respectively to push it through makes it 100x better.
Actually, Seth was head writer at the time it was rejected, but was not head writer when it got aired. Almost like Mulaney believed in it enough and held onto it, waited years, finally outlasted Seth's tenure as head writer, and then went back to host to finally get it on air - and that still makes it 100x better!
svyt that’s what he’s saying, he wrote it with colin jost who is the head writer now
yentalin12345 I don’t think it needed to be a movie yet, since it was already a musical
The genuine slight tension Seth demonstrated was too funny...
sorry to be that person but it was a movie in 1935. though john does look like he could have been in that one.
this is a really good grant gustin interview
ikr i love the flash
Never knew he was such a good stand up comedian! Props to Grant
stop
@@sshort7377 Never
I'm not saying john is the flash, I'm just saying that nobody has ever seen john and the flash together in the same room.
When he is fast enough he can still make it look like they're two people in the same room
John Mulaney is a treasure and we must keep him safe
Lauren Ray I think we should ask the Flash to protect him.
MsBettyR. He should’ve played the Flash
He is boring imo
Lauren Ray: Is he under some kind of threat? Maybe he and Anna need a bullmastiff to protect him (and keep little Tuny-fish company).
from DEltA aIRlINeS
If John wants to guest star on The Flash as an alternate universe Barry or something I'd be kinda into that...
He's just gonna be alternate universe versions of every superhero. He's already Spider-Ham.
I SECOND IT
He’s probably not allowed to be in DC stuff because he worked with marvel
@@annabelle6648 oh yeah, good point
@@annabelle6648 didn't stop alot of voice actors
Look at that high-waisted Flash; he's got feminine hips
Shhh that's the thing he's sensitive about!
look at that asian american woman
lauren nashville. Finally, some representation in superhero media!
Also, "Frontal view of the pelvis is unremarkable." ;)
Oh I love this tall child
mdl n looks like he needs some rest though.
I was just scrolling for this comment because it's in literally all his videos.
jetsterx i love him
Oscar Salazar he once said hello to baloons you know
He should get some rest
John Mulaney IS the Flash... he just moves really fast and tricks us into believing they are two different people.
Just like the Olsen "twins"
Flav I
He definitely has a quick wit.
He looks more like a long-lost Property Brother than the Flash.
gothgf now that you say that I totally see it!
Property Cousin
The lobster sketch was the best sketch ever.
He absolutely looks like Grant Gustin. Maybe not twins but in the same way Thomas Middleditch and Seth look alike.
Grant Gustin is the flash, then John Mulaney is Savitar
He looks like The Flash during puberty.
New Message And he's older than Grant Gustin.
Pshh. The Flash wishes he was Mulaney.
And you sound like Bruce Vilanch during retirement. Throw your computer in a river and leave society alone.
New Message .
Grant Gustin is the flash, then John Mulaney is Savitar
Please do an SNL skit where Mulaney is the Flash. Actually, get the actors who DO play the Flash from both the movie and the CW series and have them all dressed as the Flash, running behind one another so they look like one really fast guy
that second line took me out 😭😂
But John _does_ look like a 25 year old handsome actor! 😍
ekaiLo he looks so much younger than he is
diner lobster is an instantly iconic sketch.
Maybe he doesn't look like the Flash, but doesn't he sound a lot like an old-timey radio guy?
Right!
I love that he is finally addressed that he looks like Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)
Haha I think they forgot Grant Gustin’s name, they kept saying “yeah you kind of do look like...the Flash”
It was so distracting that they didn't use his real name!!! I kept waiting and waiting for them to say Grant. They DEFINITELY didn't know his name.
His wife speaks the truth
"My girlfriend works at yoshinoya beef bowl."
That bit about his wife is literally the only thing I ever need to know about her, because that was amazing.
Seriously, his wife seems like the coolest person
😥
"They're called calves at first" is such a Mulaney thing to say.
I love John more than I love members of my own family.
Been saying for years he looks like Grant Gustin and John Barrowman had a baby.
He and John Barrowman both have a certain look that makes them seem like they're from the 1920s or something
OMG he does!!!
John Barrowman looks like if John Mulaney and Elon Musk had a baby
Ha! I was shocked that they didn’t do a ‘Flash’ sketch on SNL last week
Leave it to Anna, to put everything in perspective for John.
See, the joke I would’ve made is that “No, I’m not the Flash” is exactly what Barry would /say/ in that situation. Therefore, denying being the flash is ineffective. Accept it, John, you’re the Flash now.
“And THATS my WIFE!”
Diner Lobster . Loved that sketch. Probably best one so far this season.
I see John Mulaney, I click
Shirish Boga: That’s just fucking creepy.
Always
New Flash ep pitch: The Flash travels to an alternative universe where Barry Allen is a famous comedian. The whole ep is full of John cracking jokes and the two actors doing sketches.
I love how John never assumes anything or that people are thinking things, like he just explains that he has a dog that’s why he’s at the dog park.
I never would have thought he looked like him on my own but now that he pointed it out I can totally see it
I've heard this story before, but I still want Mulaney and Grant Gustin to do something together.
That would honestly be everything
And Nate Ruess should join them...
Trump sent out a family card this year that said the same thing. Small world.
New Message hahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
Get a twitter account. That way you only have to bore the people that choose to follow you.
Your name and profile picture just fucked with my brain. And yes, I clicked.
I didn't know horses could write!
The diner lobster sketch was one of the best things ever!
Annamarie Tendler Mulaney, always keeping it real...
He has a tear in his feminine hips
John Mulaney is one of THEEE funniest comedians out there
I love John Mulaney's wife so much
That lobster skit is absolutely amazing!!!!! I've been watching it a couple times a week since it aired. One of the best of all time!
« They’re call calves at first » I think about that line maybe once a week.
See that is what is so great about John, in general I don’t find him super hilarious but little stuff like the way he said “they’re called calves at first” really just cracks me up. I’m glad you get it too!!
2:33 “They’re called calves at first.” -John Mulaney
Am I the only one who, inside my head, went "A-ah! Savior of the universe!“ every time he just said, "Flash!"?
This one for the oldies.
yes!!!
The more I watch interviews where John mentions his wife, the more I get why he'd fall in love with her!
Yeah..
I definitely see the resemblance between John Mulaney and Grant Gustin, but I've always thought that John also really looks like the singer Nate Ruess.
Every time get talks about his wife, I fall in love with her more and more.
I love John's ties. The tie he is wearing here and the bee one are proabably my favorite ties in the whole world
John Mulaney is a gift
That tall child is going places.
Diner lobster is the best sketch ever!!!♥
Diner Lobster is the funniest shot I have E V E R seen. It’s like a ridiculous fever dream drug trip that I never want to wake up from.
John: *Inhales*
Seth: *Loses it*
I love John and Grant and I’ve been saying John reminds me of him for soooo long.. glad I’m not alone.
Rewatching all of his interviews 2020
can we appreciate john's ties? they are always so amazing.
As a glee fan, seeing John compared to Grant just makes me yearn to see John in a Dalton Academy Warblers blazer.
His wife shutting him down are the most funny stories
Such an incredible memory.
Love that tie -- and love John Mulaney. He can flash me anytime.
I can see the resemblance
"I'm not saying I look like the Flash"
Bro, when I first saw you my initial thought was "He looks like the Flash."
I know I'm months late to this video, but I was just watching a John Mulaney video and my brother goes "who's that? The Flash?" And I laughed way too hard without context.
Grant n John neeeeeeedd to do a video together need need need interview ig snap anything they have to get together
I had a little kid ask me if I was Spiderman one time, and it's still the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. Seems like a big step up from being mistaken for a tall child, John!
by the sound of it, i feel like his wife is the funniest person on the planet, tbh
I really like him .. he is super funny 😆
I've seen all these interviews before but it's delightful anyway
Props on his wife 👏
him and the flash 😍😍😍
Oh my god I’m so so so glad I found this video, I can’t get over how MUCH HE LOOKS LIKES GRANT GUSTIN/Flash and it brings me so much peace to see him address it ahhh
The way that John talks about his wife, she sounds so awesome. Except for her knowledge on the Last Supper. It wasn't a turkey, it was a turducken.
John is the best
His wife sounds amazing! 😂
That diner lobster sketch is my favorite thing ever
I am obsessed and in love with Grant and John.
Love this guy
Yass I'm glad he finally discussed the Flash issue!!
you know I love Mulaney but I think, even tho I don't know much about her, I love his wife just as much
I want his wife to do stand up now..
You just put it in my head...
I low key love him ❤️ John Mulaney 😚
The lobster diner is one of my favorite sketches
I 💘 love John Mulaney!
I can’t unsee it now
You should do a podcast with john mulaney!!! you guys are so funny together! and u should definitely have a podcast!
Listening to them come up with sketches just makes me wish I could see how they see things and the inside of their minds.
Seth is chill sassy
God I love his tie, he's always so stylish.
I love Grant. I love John. I love Seth. This is great.
I was wondering why he hadn't mentioned his role as the Flash.
Omg the flash does stand up comedy . That is great
That last bit that his wife said is hilarious
I love Anna 😂
John Mulaney should guest star on The Flash as Barry from an alternative Earth.
I like the way he talks....
