I know you don’t think your journal is impressive but I do!! Every spread is so thoughtfully put together. It’s so clear as someone who journals myself that you put in so much effort. Those Dutch doors 😍 I love how you’re constantly reflecting on what worked and what didn’t so your next iteration is more attuned to your reading habits - without shame or judgement of yourself. That book quote page is my favorite of the bunch, very haunted mansion 👻
I don't think it is impressive compared to others, but it is still impressive to ME knowing that I can't draw. I don't want to sound like I don't enjoy it, because I do! And yes, the evolution of each journal is tweaking it to make it work for you. It is such an enjoyable creative outlet. I want to try sticking to a memory keeperish journal this year as well to get my thoughts on page
Seriously, just start one without tooooo much thought. As you go along, you will learn what you like and tweak it from there. Don't worry about making it perfect. Do you want a place to write your thoughts about what you've read? Make collages based on your favorite books? Just a place to keep stats? Think about what YOU want and just go for it.
I love your bookshelf spread! For some reason it sounds way more fun to color in TBR books than to just put what you’ve read on the shelf. Like a little reward 😂
Right? I'm hoping it has even more satisfaction than checking off something on a to-do list, because then you can see it all colored in at the end. Hopefully.
I judge not. I also have many unread books. We’re gonna knock a dent in them next year 💪🏻 sometimes you gotta go from 45 to 50. Your journal looks great! 👻
I made a dent in mine this year.....but also brought in a lot 🤷♀️ I was inspired by Mindy when she said that her physical tbr was over 700. I was like damn, I'm too scared to count mine, but maybe I can do this instead
@ According to my StoryGraph that I use for tracking physical books, I have about 500 unread. I buy a lot from library book sales and thrift shops, so it’s not like I have a fortune in books. I like having my own personal library to visit though.
@Kritz_Reads I'm this about adding tombstones to my page. I just called it graveyard and put some creepy stickers on it to track my DNF's & 1 star reads
Thanks Katrina! I'm hoping the dutch doors helps take out some bulk before it gets all thicccc. Hope I get to color in a lot of the shelves! I wanna see your journal too!
Keep your Kobo in airplain mode or your books will return when they expire or by their due date. Transfer by PC by downloading from a browser, open the books in Adobe digital editions then just drag and drop from the Adobe folder to your device. Or alternatively open in Adobe then put those files in your calibre library on your computer then transfer them to your device. This second option gets rid of the drm and due date.
Thanks for these tips! I just didn't know it would happen, so I was surprised. Now that I know, I'll use these workarounds. I think it was also life's way of telling me to read my damn ARCs 😂

Really wonderful journal!
Thanks Crystal!
Absolutely incredible!!! We have some of the same sticker books I think. LOL! I'm doing a DNF Semetary too, Pet Semetary themed. 🤣
Thanks Venus! Pet Semetary, I love it! Hoping you show off your journal - I've seen your past journal and it was incredible!
I'm very interested in starting my own reading journal. I have no clue how to start. I love your journal! ❤🦇🖤

This is amazing, Kristine! That bat sticker on the cover page is so fricken cute. I love your journal so much
I love him. I have some prints from that etsy shop too (darkling woods) I love her art style!
@Kritz_Reads I'm totally going to check out her shop 🤩🤩🤩
I love this Kristine! The read in peace sticker is so cute.
I had been saving that one for my new journal! I always want to hoard my stickers, but at least in a journal I can see it often
I love your book journal. I did a graveyard page in my planner/book planner. I love the tombstones you added to yours.
Thank you! Putting them on tombstones was a spur of the moment idea, but I like how it came out despite my lack of drawing talent! 🪦

I LOVED this so much!!! I just did a DNF graveyard spread as well!! 🤗 Your shelves turned out so cool! I love all the dutch doors! 🤩🤩🤩

Ahhh! I'm using this as my regular journal! I like an 8x8 for my reading journal. I love this!
It is a gorgeous journal. I also heavily considered the ghost one from archer and olive. I might have to try an 8x8 next year!
I bought a lined reading journal this year since I'm not into drawing anymore and want to make it simple.
I've never tried a lined one, though it would probably help me write straighter! I hope you enjoy your new journal adventure this year
