@@lucariofan6045 Know I'm a year late but listening to this in almost 2019 lol. Anyway, the song, in my opinion, represents the mother who died in the car crash in the credits scene. I imagine she is talking about the boy "Mike" when she is singing this song. Can you imagine the empty feels if they put this song as the actual credits theme
I was 9 and now I'm 15 and I played the 2nd game before the first one .... i blame my father for getting me the second game before the first one and now I'm playing the first one now lol
A series that deserves more then it has. A true gem that hides behind a cutesy exterior, and is really one of the most thought provoking, saddest game of all time.
Lily Merghani Well, the way you made it sound was "is really one of the most thought provoking, saddest game of all time." as if you said, "It's really one of the most thought provoking. Saddest game of all time." It could be taken both ways...
I remember when I was sorta little that I would play this game with my mom, and she would read the dialogue to me. When we got to this part, she started crying, and I asked why. She said "It's the idea of me having to lose you that's making me cry, sweetie." I didn't get what she was trying to say, but now that I do, I just can't help but cry too when I listen to it.
Oh god, this was back in 2009? It makes me feel so old. I can remember waiting excitably for this game to come out. Still one of the best games by far.
Green The Hero hey I restarted my game every time this song ends before I went like, CRAP I HATE REPLAYING LEVELS OF GAMES I LOVE! GO ON RUclipsS? YES(
I loved the first and this sequel made me cry even more. I would stay up for hours into the night just playing this and whenever I got free time at school I would play. Fond memories and great but sad endings, made me cry every time I saw them. If you haven't played the original enough, play until you become fully immersed
this game was obviously made by great people...I mean when i found the secret area I died over and over trying to get that rose to save grampa rapo....
Just finished playing this game once again. I promised myself I wouldn't cry, but I just couldn't help it. One of the best games I've ever played, and, sadly, one of the least recogniced ones. (Sorry if bad spelling, and hello from Spain!)
This game was so emotional and heart-wrenching. A masterpiece. Which is why I was SO PISSED when I saw that the next Drawn to Life to come out turned out to be freaking SPONGEBOB EDITON. I felt insulted :/ Haven't gotten the chance to play the actual Drawn to Life sequels yet though.
+GrmTheGamingPeasant I know they would only bring it out on 3ds or wii u, but I'm just saying I have neither of those. Anyway, what's the point of buying a 3ds just to play one game (which probably won't even be made)?
this song makes me cry even to this day, that's another reason why i praise the game to be a cult classic on the ds,It's because it has the drama that we all go through everyday like death
I die internally every time I hear this. Honestly, a game has NEVER made me cry. Except for this one. Whelp, time to find my copy of the game and have a nostalgia party with my DS.
I played this and this song came on. I cried my eyes out. its so sad. especially when you realize she will die. The saddest part is when her voice floats over to her son. :(
Imagine how much more impact Watersong would have on all of our memories if Rose actually had died to pass on the title of mayor...I always imagined it like that and it's really depressing. Not having Rose die kind of makes this song sad, but with no reason for much longer in the game.
Omg thank you so much for uploading this song! This is one of my favorite songs in the game! It was sooo beautiful for a ds game, plus the singing was chilling
Okay, so this song has recently been making me want to play this game again. I had such a vague memory of a beautiful song in this game but up until now I didn't know where I put my copy. I'm currently playing through and I'm just starting the third section. I really so enjoy this game and this song has held a special place in my heart for years. Truly happy that I was dying to find this song in game for me to get to live through this game.
This game has a place in my heart for one core reason: it is the first and by far the only video game that has actively brought me to tears. _Can you guess which part it was??_ It doesn't really go anywhere, but it's effective in the moment.
This game is incredibly amazing!! All game is a gem. I enjoyed so much, but I hate so much second end. Perfect end could be Jowee and Mari getting married.
These games were amazing. Did you know there's a third game coming out on Dec 7th? Made by mamy of the same story writers, developers, etc. Drawn to Life Two Realms. Recommend watching Pseyecho Samurai who has a lets play of the first two games.
my son died a long time ago a few days after he was born,so when ever i hear this song it makes me think of him and i just start to cry,i'm a boy and i just feel like that my son's death was all my fault.i feel so bad and i just couldn't do anything to help him.
it is hard not to cry when you hear this...and thanks to someone stealing the game from me i had to buy it again so I beat it twice and its just this part in the game takes the feels
I got both DS Drawn to Life games for Christmas 2010... BEST. GIFT. EVER. I almost cried the first time I heard this song. It's so touching and when I listen to it, it always touches my heart.
I played this game... Beat it recently... this game made me cry so much... more than I would realize... Real Life and this are THE Saddest songs in any game. EVER.
2020, and I just remembered this game. It was was my favorite game on the 2DS but I never was able to beat it. I would constantly try to show my mom this scene. I would replay the beginning of the game over and over again. Of course I was too young to understand the depth of the story or the fact that it wasn’t the first game, but I loved it anyway.
I don't cry at this anymore. I'm a big girl! (oh who am I kidding) *single tear falls down face* This is the first game to make me sob uncontrollably (and only one).
i got this when i was 7 or 8 and now im 14 and i haven't cried to this one at all but for the first couple of times i played i cried to real life at the end of the game
I showed this song to my mom. She really loved it so I wrote out the lyrics for her (by hand) And that was what happened when you show someone a piece of music that is beautiful. And it was, like, 3 years ago... xD
i know how you feel ;/ i cryed when i first heard it as well. i still cry when i hear it some times. just for the fact that it brings back so many memorys...
holy shit this game got me through panic attacks as a kid, this song specifically. i was still in elementary school (winter break, probably age 7-9) and i stayed up to watch the ball drop for the first time. i worked myself up so bad i vomited and had a two week consecutive panic attack where i felt constant nausea and heart racing. this game was the only thing that could calm me down. this song made me cry so hard and now im here 6-8 years later and i just sort of get a weird feeling in my chest.
All the songs from drawn to life are amazing (the end, this one and real life) but whenever I decide which is my favourite, I listen to another one and suddenly have no idea. They are just that amazing.
Omg, you random person from 1 year ago just fucking crushed my heart into pieces.... I played through this game at least 10 times but I never realized that...
Remember when we were children?

This series and the Kingdom Hearts series are the two saddest games of all time, correction.

I will revive a 6yo thread just to say that you are damn right. Wish they made a remake for Switch...
when I played the game I wanted to cry at this part, but I couldn't cause I was on my school bus.

Thanks for bringing back the saddest moment of my gaming life.

DragonLord4828 Gaming! I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!!
I was reminded of when I first played this part and I was like "Rose, no, you stop singing that song right now!" While trying to stop the tears

I used to play this such a long time ago omg I literally felt so emotional listening to it again
This was the saddest moment of my childhood
This song seriously made me cry when I heard it in the game. I wasn't expecting it to have lyrics spoken. Just gorgeous.
video games have never made me cry but when this song came up i cryed, my favorite part of the whole game.
I literally started sobbing when I got to that part in the game. I was not prepared to hear actual singing and it is so emotional!! :'O
one of the saddest moments in gaming history... this game is a work of art. And god, that soundtrack...
Snow Prince yeah, I'm dying of the feels right now 😭
I'm not crying, you're crying.

This is essentially the farewell song from the mother who died in the car crash. 😭😭😭😭😭
Brings me back to when me and my sister were little... We used to love this game... I miss those times😔
this song and real life always make me fucking cry JFC

Dang, this is a great song, but every time I listen to it I have an existential crisis about the inevitability of death.
WHY THIS AND THE ENDING MADR ME CRY U BROUGHT BAD MEMORIES OF THIS GAME AND GOOD ONES AS WELL
21 and this still makes me cry.
The feels trip this game takes you on, my gosh.

This game is one of my most beloved childhood games. I will never forget those good times. :')
I think this is one of those video game moments that I will never forget... so many amazing memories with this game. :')
This game is certainly so underrated. It had such a sad storyline...
I am so glad Im not the only one. I actually reset the entire game just to listen to it again.
Was so worth it.
I'm 19 and this still gives me the feels. I can't stop crying...
This is one of the four songs I've ever listened to that makes me cry.
man id be sobbing to this song late at night
This would win an Oscar if it were in a movie, fight me.
i can not
curses to anyone who hates this song. its so sad yet beautiful. THANK U CREATOR FOR SAVING ROSE!!!
I never cried the first time I saw this scene, but MAN!!! It tugged at my little kid heart strings

i got this when i was 7 or 8 and now im 14 and i haven't cried to this one at all but for the first couple of times i played i cried to real life at the end of the game
Best Game ever. Sound, graphics, plot, and characters were AWESOME!
I was 11 or 12 when I first heard this beautiful song now am 23 years old time fly so fast
I remember getting this game in around 2011 or 2012 and playing up to this part. To this day, this song gives me the chills.
This song makes me cry. It sends shivers down my spine.
most touching part of the game
I love how this song actually hinted at the ending. "When you wake up" and all that.
I so very nearly cried when i watched this moment for the first time on DS....
It's a beautiful song, it truly is...
I just noticed that if the melody of this song was sped up it would Resemble the Watersong Village theme.. this is why I love this game lol
I showed this song to my mom. She really loved it so I wrote out the lyrics for her (by hand)
And that was what happened when you show someone a piece of music that is beautiful.
And it was, like, 3 years ago... xD
Ten years later. I'm not crying, I'm sobbing.
i know how you feel ;/ i cryed when i first heard it as well. i still cry when i hear it some times. just for the fact that it brings back so many memorys...
this had such an emotional impact on me as a child that I debated completely restarting the game just so I could hear it again
I'll still come to this song years l8r n cry bro this shit goes hard ; - ;
Such a good game
this song is one of the saddest and it made me cry. still does actually.
holy shit this game got me through panic attacks as a kid, this song specifically. i was still in elementary school (winter break, probably age 7-9) and i stayed up to watch the ball drop for the first time. i worked myself up so bad i vomited and had a two week consecutive panic attack where i felt constant nausea and heart racing. this game was the only thing that could calm me down. this song made me cry so hard and now im here 6-8 years later and i just sort of get a weird feeling in my chest.
Still sobbing a decade later
this is a really good, but sad song! i cried! and it goes good with the theme of the game, too.
this song reminds me of so many old memories and friends
I always heard
"And all this is, is a grand new start!" instead of "great recital.". Huh. You learn something new every day.
First game to ever make me cry as a kid, still get choked up hearing this at 22
All the songs from drawn to life are amazing (the end, this one and real life) but whenever I decide which is my favourite, I listen to another one and suddenly have no idea. They are just that amazing.
I loved this song... I start bawling everytime I hear it...
_When you realize this is Mike’s mother singing to him._
Omg, you random person from 1 year ago just fucking crushed my heart into pieces.... I played through this game at least 10 times but I never realized that...
I KNOW! As soon as I realized that I'm feeling the tears well up again.
This was such a beautiful song.
lovely! this made me cry
This song always gives me goosebumps... it's sooo beautiful! :')
