it's kind of a heart breaker to see malls go extinct by the time this video been posted for 3 to 15 years that mall might be gone. feels like walking in a vaporwave album or an ancient tomb but at lest you got some treasures along the way
I love that Pixel Dan has appreciation for toys & figures that he himself isn't interested in collecting. It's good positive energy & one of if not the main reasons I watch this channel.
This is my childhood mall (I’m 27) thank you for documenting it and cementing it on this channel. So many summers spent toy hunting at that V Stock… it’s a shame to see it deteriorating but alas all good things must end.
Hi Dan and Pixel family, thank you for this great video and showing these excellent stores, they have many good things at very good prices that are getting harder to find these days, thanks again and blessings always! 🤘😎
Nice to see a toy hunt from a store I’ve been to. I’ve gotten quite a few things from that V-Stock, but not toys. Sadly, the movie theater closed last month. It was my closest iMAX screen.
This is at the Chesterfield Mall which like in 2016 was dying but it had some many geeky stores in it. I was visiting St Louis for work and went to all the comic and arcades shop every night. I told the tale of this mall for years until I meet my now wife who is from St Louis and she groans every time I talk about the place as if it’s the only thing cool in St Louis.
It was a little underwhelming at first but seeing those triceratons at the end really did it for me. I was also finally able to get my hands on the mutant mayhem figures and they are awesome!
Love your videos! Next time you’re in St. Louis, if you haven’t visited time war toys in South County, you’ve missed a real gem! I’ve known these guys for years and they have a great shop for the great staff
Half of my city is dark and empty just like that mall. Offshore investors have bought a lot of the real estate and either can't be bothered leasing the buildings, or they make the rent so high that no businesses want the space.
PIXEL DAN IS THE MAN! NOT ONLY THE MAN, A GREAT COOL FAMILY MAN! WHO SAYS YOU HAVE TO BE SINGLE COLLECTING TOYS. YOU CAN BE A FAMILY MAN AND STILL ENJOY COLLECTING TOYS. I HAD ENJOYED THE TOY HUNTING EXPERIENCE FROM THE MALL. GREAT TOY FINDINGS! AND THANKS FOR SHARING!
Awesome find! I would've picked up all of them for sure, I think they were in really good condition and great prices! Also I know that panic-excited feeling when you find something for your collection and it's also a great deal haha 😂 Honestly it's one of the best feelings when you're a adult toy collector.
Hi Pixel Dan. love seeing you having fun with your family. Really love your videos. You have inspired me so much in collection especially MOTU. I have been following you since 2010. ❤ from Malaysia..
i can remember xmas in the 90s at that mall. most people you ever saw. anyway. a mile away there is a very long and large strip filled with any and all shops and stores and it killed off this mall.
can you please tell me the name of the song that you played when you found the 2003 turtles that started playing at 10:20 ive been wanting to know for years ever since i started watching you around 2013
I definitely would have grabbed a few of those. That’s the Mid Rivers Mall, right? Haven’t been there in a bit. I had no idea Pickle Ball courts were now on the base level. HaHa! Thanks for the fun video, Dan!
I totally emphasize your Panic😄 I had this once when I came upon the COMPLETE Fantastic Four Comics by Jack Kirby sitting all in Quiet in the Comic Shop...I had to break my Bank .
I was just in Vintage Stock today in OKC for the 4th of July sale where all pre owned toys are 33% off. I go every time they have a sale which revolves around holidays.
G.I. Joe Extreme was ALWAYS an odd line. Kenner actually designed these after Hasbro acquired them, which is why they have that Kenner 90's look and feel...
Wow, what an awesome toy hunt pixel Dan I’ll have to think about going there if I ever go to St. Louis ever again also, I really love Vintage stock I’ve been to the one in Springfield Missouri back when I was in high school I used to live in Saint Robert Missouri long ago anyways cool fines man also by the way, are you going to upload the video of the Dallas Gil Joe and action figure show, Toy hunt video?
Hey, if you like Iron Klaw, get the Collector's Club version. It's only about 4 inches and mirrors the regular Joe figures. I like is much more than the GI Joe Extreme version, but it's a lot more expensive.
I was into Gijoe Extreme at the time, mostly because I liked figures with clip on armor pieces like toybiz Ironman, and they did a bunch of that with gijoe extreme. Rock N Roll and Sgt Savage being my favorites. Recently got a loose Freight for 1.00 with his punching action. Just getting Skar is good as a curiousity. He's an Alternate villainous leader instead of Cobra Commander and Serpentor all the time. I think he made an appearance in the gijoe collectors club magazine since he's a deep cut reference for the fans. Excellent 2003 Ninja Turtles find. I really want the Fugitoid from that series and there he was for 1.99 unheard of these days with stores having easy access to pricing apps and following ebay market prices daily.
The skull GIJoe Extreme when I was younger when the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter gijoes came out I used skull guy as Shao Kahn cause of his skull head and his body shape ✌😎
Absolutely amazing prices in that old stock store! Holy crap you never see this anymore. Stuff is so jacked up these days. If I saw that i'd panic too lol "OMG I better buy all of these before they figure out what a huge mistake they've made" 🤣 Super awesome opportunity for collectors!
@@Pixel-dan lol definitely! The odds of coming across something like that again... man I think it'll be years (if ever). But at least you got a great selection! Fun video!
Very cool. I'm hoping that Playmates re-releases the old 2003 series figures & they even do 6 inch Classic variations, which I picture just using the Mirage comic bodies (with the brown belts, pads & wraps, but change the color of the skin tone) but with the movie heads (again change the skin tone to match & also white eyes without pupils) & the 1987 weapons & holsters. I'm also hoping that NECA & The Loyal Subjects jump onto the bandwagon & do their own 2003 series figures. I grew up on the 1987 series, but I got back into TMNT when I was a Senior in high school & the 2003 animated series was still fairly new (like late 1st season or 2nd season) & I played that series' 1st game. Are you excited about the 2003 series finally getting a DVD release? I know I am & I'm gonna put it next to the 1987 complete series I already have. I would like to get some 2003 series & 2007 movie figures in the meantime, but they're usually missing their belts and/or their primary weapons, so that's kind of a deal breaker for me. I did get a basic 2007 Raphael with the belt (but it didn't have the Sais) loose at toy show last October & I am hoping to find the proper Sais & even the other 3 turtles with their belts & primary weapons. I've been checking eBay, but so far...
Battle cat was on clearance and someone got a can of black spray paint and can of white spray paint and painted it and that's the epic story of the black and white battle cat
Oh snap, Vintage Stock...I have never seen it called "V Stock" though... that's weird. At least none of the stores here in OK are like that. Nor have I seen them in a mall-like setting. That one is like, crazy well stocked. It really varies on what you find at these places. I scored a CHEAP entire set of the Stan Winston Gargoyles once, all in package. And then some other stuff they price way, way, way too high...
I already Have alll those 2003 turtles. Bought mine in the store. Back at wal-mart. But if I would been you. I would bought all those turtles. mainly too at those prices. I don't think you find them that cheap for a while. They probably figured since from early 2000's not worth a whole lot.
Would you have bought the entire lot of TMNT?!
Heck yeah!!!
If I had unlimited money, then yes.

Super jealous of that TMNT 2003 haul! Been watching you for over 10 years at this point. Keep it up Dan! 😎
So glad you're here!
the only good thing about tmnt video 2:10, you should do a tmnt solo special, cheers 👏🏻🇦🇷

That's awesome! Thanks so much! Us Dan's have to stick together!
I go here every year for my birthday! I love this place!
What a great tradition!
Oh man, I loved this place when I lived in St. Louis. Thanks for taking me back!
Loving the videos Dan! Been a fan of the channel for a long time! Keep up the work!
Thank you so much! Videos lately have been a throw back to the old days.
6:38 I had that Great Heroes collectors case. I kept all my Secret Wars toys in it
That’s fantastic!
Nice to see a toy hunt from a store I’ve been to. I’ve gotten quite a few things from that V-Stock, but not toys. Sadly, the movie theater closed last month. It was my closest iMAX screen.
It closed! Must’ve been right after I left
Oh man do I know that feeling. There's a saying over here among the collectors, "it's better to regret buying/getting than not buying/getting"
It’s so true! Anything you’ve regretted?
@@Pixel-dan so many! The NECA Isaac Clarke variants, Storm Collectibles Ermac, some Marvel Legends, just to name a few.
Turtle Power.
T-u-r-t-l-e power!

And were you satisfied?
It was a little underwhelming at first but seeing those triceratons at the end really did it for me. I was also finally able to get my hands on the mutant mayhem figures and they are awesome!

I will put that on my list! Might be back to get the rest of those 2003 tmnt!
I used to live in Springfield MO. Cool to see you in some of my old stomping grounds.
Such a great find. Wish I had one of these near me.
