How crazy cool it would be to live somewhere where stores like this exist. I can't even remember the feeling of walking into a toystore that is specific to that 80s-90s era.
I’m lucky to live near one in Michigan (Timeblaster Toys), it’s so cool to go back in time whenever I check it out.
I'm lucky enough to have something along these lines on my doorstep. Sorry to hear you don't ☹️
I'm glad you enjoyed my hometown, it's funny, I was at that store for the first time a month ago and I was SO OVERWHELMED lol. It was too much nostalgia for me because it took me down my beloved childhood memories with the toys I had and still have in my parents basement lol. From Gloworms, TMNT, Ultraman, Sesame Street plushies, Muppet Babies plushies, Power Rangers. I LOVE the Fifty-Two '80s store.
You unlocked a Christmas morning memory with those ring raiders. My Mom said that I was less than enthused when I opened them because it was something that I didn't really ask for. They were cool, and I enjoyed them later, but I guess they were overlooked in the excitement for new toys on a Christmas morning many many years ago. Thank you.
Hi Pixel family, thank you very much for sharing with us this great and amazing toy store, congrats for the awesome haul, blessings and rock on! 🤘
What a spectacular video 👌🏻 Pixel Dan, those tmnt 21:30 are amazing, you are a great collector and an excellent RUclipsr, greetings 👏🏻🇦🇷
That bear Stina was looking at us a Puffalump, my sister had one as a kid too and recently got another one to replace the one she’s had since 87.
I was in Denver for a work conference last year and discovered this place during my last day in town. I saw some things i had never seen before and as someone who grew up in the 80s and whose been a collector for over 40 years, that's a hard thing to do. Can't wait to make it back there.
As a collector myself, that store is amazing. I find myself having the trouble of limiting what lines and items to collect that store is pure crack.
Oh man, I had Super Soaker Man and loved him. Totally forgot about him somehow. Thank you for this Dan!
I had totally forgotten about Bone Age! I remember seeing the commercials and thinking they were cool
Congrats on that big boy purchase. A very cool turtle for the collection. I hurts me knowing I'll never be adding that line to my collection
I appreciate the Jonathan Knight photo with Polly pockets? At 6:55 😂
Good to know that Pixel Dan was enjoying his time in my home state. Oh and Go Broncos! 🤘
As a Ring Raiders kid, this obviously had my attention right off the bat!... and Kenner's Bone Age, love how this video shined a light on some of the more weird and obscure lines!
I had that Bone Age T-Rex, those clips really are super fragile. Loved that thing, I wish I could find that Caveman.
I have that exact MOTU record tote!! Had it since childhood. It’s completely full of mint condition book and records. From Star Wars ,Knight Rider, and the set of Gremlins you got from Hardee’s. My daughter listens to them!
13:30 I was able to get Anklor as a kid. He was lost , probably given away as I got older but I was able to get another one complete and with no breakage though the box has seen better days. The fragility is because of the translucent pegs that break or get stress cracks really easily.
Glad you enjoyed Fifty-Two '80s once again in my hometown of Denver. I was last there in July on my birthday, and that day, I finally bought my #1 favorite toy from my childhood: Castle Grayskull. It was mostly complete, just missing a couple of weapons, all three cardboard pieces, and the sticker banner. I was able to pick these items off eBay, so now my castle is 100% complete! I sometimes look at the thing in my room, and I still can't believe it's finally mine again after something like 35 years.
Edit: I just realized that my Castle Grayskull that I got from there is the exact same one in the video at 6:04! I looked at the paint details and yeah, the very same one. You guys must've filmed this before I picked it up in July (the 14th, to be precise, my 44th birthday).
That’s great!
did you see Alexis or Blake there , lol @@Pixel-dan
Pixel dan your so humble and funny, thats why so many people like you!!!!
Nice representation of ring raiders, and you put the commercial in. Their a really unique toy concept. I have a small collection of them with three of the playsets now.
Every toy hunt video, you come across an expensive piece and i get nervous, thinking this’ll be the time you splurge.
It warms my heart to see that you pulled the trigger. Awesome video.
I don't remember Horror Pets either! I really wish they existed now. The two year old.would love those. She's all about bug toys, monsters, skeletons, etc.
In fact she's watching with me and loved the spider. 🙂
Also, you may think it was creepy, but when she saw the clown, she said "I love that stuff!"
She also loved the care bears.
Incredible find! My rule is, as long as the mortgage is paid, the family is fed and a bit goes into the nest egg, then go for it. (Although on the bigger stuff, I usually sell som items to offset) Congratulations! I love when people find a most wanted piece.
That’s a good rule!
Pixel dan the master toy collector
The first issue of the UK Ring Raiders comic had a single plane attached as a free gift. A few years ago I was able to buy a copy for a cheap price that still had the free gift.
5:22 I think I recalled you grab Mikey at DFW vintage store with okchief and game chaser.....
I remember that bone age toy because I had one as a kid
Had that TMNT Leonardo calculator as a kid. Great vid PD.
I enjoyed seeing that popple! I had one that was a soccer ball i think. Great vid Dan and congrats on Leo
Core memory unlocked...I def had Bone Age
That store is awesome. So much to choose from. I'd be flat broke leaving that place.
If you’re ever in the Mississippi area, there’s Fraction Comics in Laurel
Hahaha you made me laugh with the cling-on/ klingon part 😂
I have that housefly horrorpet ☺😁 Your horrorpets shell belongs to the housefly, not the bee indeed.
What is that blue figure on 19:07 ?? It looks really cool!
This store looks amazing!
Seeing an Ultraman 80 figure was the highlight of this video for me
OMG I had a Super Soaker Man! What a bizarro toy. They made everything back in the 90s didn't they?
The Wolfman turtle is the one I'd pick anyway (because it would fit with my werewolf collection).
Indeed an awesome looking store.
That is crazy I had both of those wrestlers and both were purchased at a flea market. I figured myself and maybe 5 people from the 80s knew what those were lol.
4:29 don't let a certain mailman knows about this, otherwise he'll send you a 'Harmless' Xmas package, coz 'is a sick world we're livin, sick people!' (lol, always wanted to say that)
11:09 - that's a puffalump.
@11:00 what are the plush dolls in the lower left. Just like Stina's nostalgia trigger with the yellow elephant in that scene, I really recognize that one with orange hair in particular but can't remember why.
Cool store and finds as usual
I was able to get a new in box Bone Age Anklor a few years ago for a great price. It’s a really cool line and while the figures and dinosaurs themselves aren’t really fragile. The pegs you use to build/rearrange/transform them break super easily. So if you leave them in Dino or converted form they’re good and sturdy, but if you take them apart and try to transform them…good luck lol
No mention of stopping at Dan Flashes for that shirt?!
Awesome store!! I just splurged myself and bought a mint on card Raphael as the Mutant figure on ebay, expensive but worth it, like you said, I needed to treat myself. Congrats on the Wolfman Leo!
I’m so sad I didn’t get to see you I live literally 20 minutes away and I know the owner
Grail buys:)
Enjoy everyone 👍
Aw man... I wish I had a place like this near me. Plenty of comic shops with old toys in them, but never a full on retro toy store.
Holy cow, I love your shirt! :)
This shop layout is kind of cool but here in the UK id suspect it would suffer from lots of theft
@pixel Dan, I don't know if you would have interest or not, don't know if you ebay. Anyway, I saw on there the other night around a half dozen turbodactyls, what I was seeing was complete, but they ranged between $200-$300. May be worth a look for you. Just thought I'd throw that out there to you. Keep up the great content!
I really never understood "marbles" themselves. I didn't know, that maybe there was a "game" to it.
I have that calculator still in package 🙌
I remember this store
Hey Dan I was when you were going to catch up on mutant mayhem stuff
Have you ever you used the Sicilian slam in one of you matches it’s Captain Lou’s version of the side walk slam . Or the claw ? In one of your matches ?
I like the music in this video 🤘
I am Only Missing Invisible mikey from my tmnt collection. Hopefully find him at retrcon next weekend. I have a couple bone age figures in my collection. But I did have the T rex when I was younger. Xmas present. But did not survive. Those clear pegs broke On all mine sadly. I am surprised They have that $700 mikey not in a case. You would think Right?
We call them Ring Raiders though
It's a black widow spider that goes with that shell I have it still
I definitely think that you should have grabbed that Small Soldiers mini-playset. They’re not very common and hard to find.
What is the name of the purple colored multi armed figure that Dan is holding at 2:48? I had that one as a kid , and now have to find it again somehow! Can someone please tell me the name of that figure/ toy line???
@Pixel-dan, do you know the name of the figure you're holding at 2:42? I searched Google with all the terms I could think of and cannot find him. Help please?
Bone Age was by Kenner not Tyco
Was just about to leave that comment 👍
Feel the power. hear the roar. Thunder Ca--
er, I mean... Bone Age!
One rule with carded TMNT, ESPECIALLY the Universal Monsters… You see, you buy.
Hey you in my town!
@pixel dan... I was just watching a 6 year old TMNT 2008 NECA Mirage review you did.... I wanted to make sure you knew the Rafael you got in that video (the one you said came in a tube).. was a KO not original NECA.. it's been 6 years so I hope you discovered and replaced that Raf... but if you haven't and I am giving you new information... to confirm its the KO check the chest plate... it will be much more ridged than the rest and have a gloss finish vs the mat finish of the authentic NECA's.... the bandana will also be a much more ridged mold than the others.... sadly the molds for those were stolen in china do the KO's of them have been flooding the market (complete with NECA stamps on the feet) ever since.. this is why authentic boxed versions are so valuable today.
My goodness, this store would be dangerous for me 😅
Dangerous as in how? You would splurge and go broke?
My god toys are forever!!!!!
I just put video up of some TMNT FIGURES I got and on the community page on my RUclips channel I a little article on figures I would like to see if wwe ever brought back the masters of wwe universe for another two series .
Where did you get that shirt? I have the Trapper Keeper binder and would like to get the shirt too.
Regards to inviz Mikey. So crazy that So rare and so $ yet no shell case. All loose willy-nil. Protect yo assets yo 😊
Can not wait
Pixel dan the original 80s kid
What song was playing during the opening?
Which universal monsturtles do you have loose?
I can tell that's an expensive shirt due to the complicated pattern on it!
Cool 😎
Its Berenstein! Its Berenstein! 😵
Was Super Soaker Man spraying down MOTU figures?
1983 MOTU Ram-Man glasses
We're there any other rare 1983 original MOTU glasses
Fun Factory arcade sold them through tickets at my location back then
Am missing Ram-Man
Have He-Man, Skeletor to Man-At-Arms, Teela.. please respond Pixel Dan.
I know you a your pro wrestler but what’s your finisher ? Something like the I have the power bomb or the sewer city slam ?
Awesome
Really awesome!
@@Pixel-dan yeah a lot of toys in this video I remember as a kid I grow up in the 1980
Wrestler Klingons? Those do not look like Klingons to me!
Do someone know the actionfigure at 2:34 min? I like them.
Must have people stealing from the store all the time
Where is this store?
Denver
schön
$69 for supersoaker man?
What an odd video title/question.
Stop no matter how you ramp up the excitement girl toys are just that. Polly pocket smh 🤨
Rofl. Surprised dan didn't mention how there were some clearly ''genericized'' motu toys in the super soaker man commercial.
