Suspect drives at a slow rate of speed through Van Nuys. He then attempts to carjack (or truckjack) another semi-truck.
This gives new meaning to "SLOW speed chase".

Normally White Penske trucks are leased to commercial businesses. The Yellow trucks are done to individuals. I used to work for a Penske dealer in the Fort Walton Beach, FL. for about 10 years.

Sometimes the spike strips only take out the 2 rear left tires as a dually. Spike strips could have taken out the front left tire but it is too late. The new technique that police use is the grabber to stop the police chase by deploying the cable and grab one of the rear tires to bring to a halt for the criminal(s) who steals a vehicle on its track.

Uhaul Trucks and Even Ryder trucks have been Stolen in the past for instance on 9 11 1997 a Ryder Truck was stolen ended in traumatic fashion and on 10 2 1998 a 7 up Truck was stolen as well and led police on a wild pursuit
