Hi. That won't be much of a problem if you are able to answer technical questions in interview. Fluency can come with regular discussions. Important part is that you should be able to answer the main interview questions

Sir, what if my master's thesis topic is different from my area of interest ?
There is no issue with that. You can choose not to mention about your project and proceed with basic physics. You can mention any skills relevant to current interest if possible, such as any coding skills, or packages etc.
