My first compact disc that I purchased was Shake you're Money Maker. Loved it! I was a drummer and living in Atlanta, a great time to be alive with the music that was pouring out at the time. I got to see Black Crowes perform in Atlanta. Still one of my favorite bands. When I hear "Remedy" or "Twice as Hard" it screams Atlanta to my ears. Thank you for the great music, the memories will be with me always.
Oh my god!!!! I have followed & was BLESSED eno to have a semi-personal relationship with the guys from seeing them EVERY time possible! Especially Milwaukee WI. Steve along with Eddie (RIP) 😥 were ALWAYS so hospitable to me as was EVERYONE. Always welcome backstage etc. Soooo many great stories. 1st time I met Eddie we (on his dime) drank bloody mary's at the hotel. 1992. Also, another great memory that made fans jealous was Johnny Colt handing me backstage passes BETWEEN songs from the stage!!! Reading Steve's book really freaked me out because Chris & everyone else NEVER put the fans off. Greatest times of my life!! I miss you Steve! You know who I am. David.... The curly haired drummer. Love, miss & WISH things weren't sour with the situation being what it is...
Really enjoyed the interview from here in NW England. Good job. Loved the Black Crowe’s from first hearing them 30 years ago. Off to see em again in Germany later this year, god willing, just sorry Steve won’t be drumming he’s a hell of a performer.
The Black Crowes were without question the greatest rock band in the world for about 4-5 years. Gorman's contribution to the band is and was vastly underrated.
91-95..They were the best traditional blues-based rock band. Shake Your Moneymaker, Southern Harmony and Amorica, were all awesome records. They were also killing it onstage. I saw them in ‘92 and Nirvana in ‘93.. There was no comparison.
@@BangBangNinerGang415 Alice in Chains was the best of those Seattle bands onstage to me. They had the most original sound . I liked the Crowes well enough but having grown up listening to the Faces , Stones and Humble Pie , I didn't think they were particularly original. I definitely liked Gorman though, he stood out to me when I saw them .
@@Cincinnatus1869 I never had the opportunity to see AIC..They were my favorite (along with Soundgarden). A lot of people think the Crowes weren’t original, but they had some great songs. The last show I saw of theirs, Ian Mclagan sat in on keys and it was a great show.
@@BangBangNinerGang415 honestly the Crowes were a breath of fresh air from the depressing grunge stuff and the terrible hair bands . But I never heard anyone say of a guitar player , ' damn he sounds like Rich Robinson ' I appreciate them more now than I did then. I thought AiC were a totally unique sound . They were great.
let me get this straight...he's been in the crowes for decades but only NOW when he's out...he decides to grow the beard? thats one big middlefinger to Chris im sure ;0)
Records and CDs are the only way. Your online library is not really yours. If your device goes so does your music library. Collect albums and pass em down when your go. Can’t pass your Spotify list to your kids. A lifetime of music could disappear.
Thank you for this interview. I am just reading his book right now and I don't know how he put up with the craziness and the crazy people!!
Great guy and fascinating to listen to him. His book is a must read!
Steve's book was fantastic
Love to have a beer with Steve Gorman, just sit back and let him talk. Great to just listen to his tales and views on life.
I've never seen a bad interview with Steve, he's always a generous guest. Thanks for sharing

There are several members of The Black Crowes (Steve Gorman, Luther Dickinson, Chris Robinson, etc.) that give great interviews each and every time.
Holy shit does he look different! I didn't recognize him at all until he started speaking!
COCAINE IS A HELLUVA DRUG! !!!!!!!
He looks great, and healthy!
Jesus....I didn't even recognize him!

New beard, still the same old stories !

They should have fired Chris, kept Jimmy, paid the drummer$$$ ...and hired Mickey Thomas...BOOM!!
Still Can
I don't know if the Randy Quaid look is a good choice, Steve...
Every member of the Black Crowes is super dismal in interviews.
