I like that they changed the way the things go between Joel/Tess and Robert. I do obviously like that in the game Joel breaks Robert's arm and Tess shoots him, but I always found it weird how seconds later Marlene shows up and is shot in the stomach somehow. This makes more sense, that Robert tried to fuck over the Fireflies and a gunfight occurred, causing Robert's death and Marlene to get shot as she was in the game. I also prefer that it's about a car battery rather than guns. Guns are everywhere in the world of the Last of Us but car batteries are a rare commodity so it makes more sense for it to be something people would be after, especially since Joel is worried about Tommy.
I agree that the bite reveal was a bit too fast but I think that next episode they will go in further on that, so I'm not too harsh on it just yet. If they skip over it next episode, then I will agree that the game did it better.
Also fun fact, the actress for Marlene is the actual actress that's also in the game :3
