Nice one! I have a similar mini sermon. Coming to Christ is a journey. First Jesus is your friend, then he is your crutch, after that he is your stretcher. Once you fully accept Him as your one and only Lord and Savior, He IS your blood and your body and your spirit.

@ the Jews couldn’t do it either. If God’s “chosen people” with God’s promise to Abraham couldn’t do it, then neither could any gentile. Most gentiles of the time were worse than the Jews anyway.

The way you share your insights has pushed me to reflect on things in ways I hadn't before. I came to faith this past July (2024), and your videos have played a big part in that journey. Last night, while watching one of your talks, I had to pause. I couldn't hold it back-I broke down and ended up on my knees, praying and asking for forgiveness. As I sat there, the thoughts you shared hit me deeply, leading me from one realization to another, until I understood so much more. This past August, we officially withdrew from a calvinist church that we believe was teaching heresies and errors conflicting with God's word. What a journey this has been! We have been experiencing a heavy pull to move to Kentucky, so we went for a trip out that way to look around! Beautiful place it is ! We are comforted and excited that you too are making this move! Ours however would be all the way from Alberta Canada! We believe that when the spirit calls we must listen! Perhaps we will meet you there someday and sit down over hot coffee and God's Holy Word.

I was a new believer when I first heard that some people think we ought to be following the Torah law. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Christ Jesus for showing me the truth.
The Law includes being loving, kind, merciful, thoughtful, peaceful, etc. We are not to do these things? Just as we should be loving, so we should not eat pig. Jesus said our righteousness must at least be that of the Pharisees who tithe on mint and cumin. He said we should be doing the small things of the law as well as the great things of the law like love, forgiveness and mercy. The Spirit of God will lead you to fulfilling the law just as Jesus fulfilled the law by obeying it perfectly because His Spirit is dwelling in you. He cannot sin and nor would He encourage you to sin. Sin is breaking the law. Yes, of course, be loving, but, as well, stop eaten unclean foods. His Spirit would never bless unclean foods nor move you to eat it for He cannot sin and will not tempt you to sin.

Thank you for this! My ex has become one of these "anti-Paul" people. He tried to convince me that Paul was the anti-Christ and is non-stop listening to all those RUclips videos about it. It's exhausting to even try to debate with him about it and always ends in him huffing and puffing and getting angry with me. He tried convincing me that grace wasn't ever what we think it is and was just a Pauline doctrine, but when i point to John's amd Peter's and James's writings that match up with Paul's concerning grace, he just says "Oh yea they werte juat brainwashed by whatever Paul was preaching..." 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ The arrogance is real with these people. I've had very specific questions answered through the prompting of the Holy Spirit to read certain scriptures and they were all Paul's writings, so my experience with the Lord far outweighs what some guy said in the midst of a rabbit hole. My ex has been deceived many times before from going down those RUclips rabbit holes, and he was knee-deep in listening to tarot card readers when he came to the "realization" of whatever the anti-Paul people were peddling. And he really did become SO arrogant and self righteous. (We dont get along anymore, sadly) He now thinks that the less views a RUclips video has, the more truth is hiding in the video, I don't buy it and he hates my skepticism. I believe that Paul is an example of what we can expect when Holy Spirit has been implanted within us as humans. He's just a fallible man trying to convey what he's heard/learned and it's up to us to have discernment and keep seeking further truth. But i don't think he's the antichrist or a false apostle, just one of us folks who love Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.
Tell him he does not think in Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic, but the Holy Spirit does...so it doesn't matter what words are in your mind, Jesus is in your soul.
I am sooooooo grateful for the revelation of Grace by Faith alone that the Holy Spirit showed me early in my walk with Christ. There is so much legalism and works based doctrine out there that I don’t think I would have made it very far in my Faith without this understanding first. And even with that solid foundation the idea of earning God’s favor is a constant fly buzzing around trying to distract. Keep Preaching Truth my Brother in Christ!!!!

Thank you for this important lesson. I have come across a lot of mid acts dispensationalists recently. I had never heard of it previously, but on checking scripture it was clear to see the error’s in their teaching. They too push this notion of two different gospels. And that Paul’s gospel is by grace and Jesus’ gospel was works! It just doesn’t hold water, it is not scriptural and so I am happy that you covered this here. They don’t hate Paul though they elevate Paul, beyond what I believe, they perhaps should. They also elevate themselves and can be quite arrogant. So yes, thank you Dewayne.
Hey Dewayne I really appreciate your podcasts I've been watching several of them the past couple of weeks. I live in south east louisianna for the past 32 years I'm from north west illinois. I believed in Jesus all my life But it was just two years ago that I heard two words from the holy spirit. And I knew who it was and what he meant. I heard it's time and I immediately did a 180 in my lifestyle. And have been attending a pentacostal church since but I just attend to worship Jesus and for fellowship even though I differ in my understanding than most of them because I know baptism is only to publicly declare I belong to Jesus I had the holy spirit even before I fully surrendered. It's a long story but 40 years ago the holy spirit removed the obsession to drink and I was a blackout drunk. And I was a member of AA after that I still attend every now and then but many hate the idea that true freedom only comes from surrendering to Jesus. So there isn't anyone that I know that believes like me . That's why I really appreciate you. It's like finally someone who knows what I have come to know. I have friends at the church but we don't talk about this truth because I don't care to argue or try to get them to see it. Oh and I was raised on a small 20 acre horse ranch growing up. Crazy to be reminded of what the word "fulfillment" really means and how that can give a completely new and coherent understanding of the Word. Although I am French I was misinterpreting this specific word anyway, in any language. I would have loved for you to continue from this fulfilment idea into the Sermon on the Mount when Jesus talks about how it's best to cast away your members that to be thrown in Hell. Well done. Thanks for the video. I had false teachers say Peter and Paul had different gospels. They stated the modern church should only read Paul. I pointed out 2 Timothy 3:16 and said correct. Only listen to Paul, Paul says all scripture is beneficial.

Then she is basically saying she doesn't need a savior Jesus Christ since she can do it all on her own how insulting to our God. Jesus did not die in vain she needs to get over herself already. 😮
Also, the Torah keepers rejected Jesus when he told them that their faith was less than the the two gentiles that believed. Nehmnan and the woman were never going to become Jewish or observe torah. They were justified by their faith.
When someone calls Paul the antichrist…. They’re also saying that they believe the Bible is corrupted. It would have to be corrupted for Paul to be the anti christ.

Yes keep going!! Even the 12 didn’t understand Paul’s Gospel. It wasn’t till right before Peter was to be martyred that he finally understood the importance of Paul’s Gospel of Grace.(2nd Peter chapter 3 verses 15 and 16). Paul had been revealed the great secret that God kept from the world that he would include salvation to all who believed in his death burial and resurrection. Paul said that he learned his Gospel from no man but only by Christ the risen Lord. He disappeared for 3 years in the Arabian wilderness (Galatians chapter 1) where he was led by Christ. He said if any other man preach another Gospel let him be cursed. Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles, without Paul’s teaching no non Jew could be saved. We now have equality Jew and Gentile alike.
Yup, all through Acts Paul was battling Judaizers from Jerusalem, the "circumcision party". Even after Peter dealt with Cornelius, the Bible clearly says he still feared the Jews and Paul had to call him out for his hypocrisy.

I don't usually leave comments, but I felt it was important to let you know something. I've been watching your Tack Room Bible Talks for a while now, and I want to thank you. The way you share your insights has pushed me to reflect on things in ways I hadn't before.
I came to faith this past July (2024), and your videos have played a big part in that journey. Last night, while watching one of your talks, I had to pause. I couldn't hold it back-I broke down and ended up on my knees, praying and asking for forgiveness. As I sat there, the thoughts you shared hit me deeply, leading me from one realization to another, until I understood so much more. This past August, we officially withdrew from a calvinist church that we believe was teaching heresies and errors conflicting with God's word. What a journey this has been!
We have been experiencing a heavy pull to move to Kentucky, so we went for a trip out that way to look around! Beautiful place it is !

I was a new believer when I first heard that some people think we ought to be following the Torah law. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Christ Jesus for showing me the truth.

Just as we should be loving, so we should not eat pig.
Jesus said our righteousness must at least be that of the Pharisees who tithe on mint and cumin. He said we should be doing the small things of the law as well as the great things of the law like love, forgiveness and mercy.
The Spirit of God will lead you to fulfilling the law just as Jesus fulfilled the law by obeying it perfectly because His Spirit is dwelling in you. He cannot sin and nor would He encourage you to sin. Sin is breaking the law.
Yes, of course, be loving, but, as well, stop eaten unclean foods. His Spirit would never bless unclean foods nor move you to eat it for He cannot sin and will not tempt you to sin.

Thank you for this! My ex has become one of these "anti-Paul" people. He tried to convince me that Paul was the anti-Christ and is non-stop listening to all those RUclips videos about it. It's exhausting to even try to debate with him about it and always ends in him huffing and puffing and getting angry with me. He tried convincing me that grace wasn't ever what we think it is and was just a Pauline doctrine, but when i point to John's amd Peter's and James's writings that match up with Paul's concerning grace, he just says "Oh yea they werte juat brainwashed by whatever Paul was preaching..." 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ The arrogance is real with these people.
I've had very specific questions answered through the prompting of the Holy Spirit to read certain scriptures and they were all Paul's writings, so my experience with the Lord far outweighs what some guy said in the midst of a rabbit hole.
My ex has been deceived many times before from going down those RUclips rabbit holes, and he was knee-deep in listening to tarot card readers when he came to the "realization" of whatever the anti-Paul people were peddling. And he really did become SO arrogant and self righteous. (We dont get along anymore, sadly) He now thinks that the less views a RUclips video has, the more truth is hiding in the video, I don't buy it and he hates my skepticism.
I believe that Paul is an example of what we can expect when Holy Spirit has been implanted within us as humans. He's just a fallible man trying to convey what he's heard/learned and it's up to us to have discernment and keep seeking further truth. But i don't think he's the antichrist or a false apostle, just one of us folks who love Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.
Tell him he does not think in Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic, but the Holy Spirit does...so it doesn't matter what words are in your mind, Jesus is in your soul.
I am sooooooo grateful for the revelation of Grace by Faith alone that the Holy Spirit showed me early in my walk with Christ. There is so much legalism and works based doctrine out there that I don’t think I would have made it very far in my Faith without this understanding first. And even with that solid foundation the idea of earning God’s favor is a constant fly buzzing around trying to distract.

I have come across a lot of mid acts dispensationalists recently. I had never heard of it previously, but on checking scripture it was clear to see the error’s in their teaching. They too push this notion of two different gospels. And that Paul’s gospel is by grace and Jesus’ gospel was works!
It just doesn’t hold water, it is not scriptural and so I am happy that you covered this here.
They don’t hate Paul though they elevate Paul, beyond what I believe, they perhaps should. They also elevate themselves and can be quite arrogant.

Hey Dewayne I really appreciate your podcasts I've been watching several of them the past couple of weeks. I live in south east louisianna for the past 32 years I'm from north west illinois. I believed in Jesus all my life But it was just two years ago that I heard two words from the holy spirit. And I knew who it was and what he meant. I heard it's time and I immediately did a 180 in my lifestyle. And have been attending a pentacostal church since but I just attend to worship Jesus and for fellowship even though I differ in my understanding than most of them because I know baptism is only to publicly declare I belong to Jesus I had the holy spirit even before I fully surrendered. It's a long story but 40 years ago the holy spirit removed the obsession to drink and I was a blackout drunk. And I was a member of AA after that I still attend every now and then but many hate the idea that true freedom only comes from surrendering to Jesus. So there isn't anyone that I know that believes like me . That's why I really appreciate you. It's like finally someone who knows what I have come to know. I have friends at the church but we don't talk about this truth because I don't care to argue or try to get them to see it. Oh and I was raised on a small 20 acre horse ranch growing up. Anyway would love to talk to you sometime Dewayne

Crazy to be reminded of what the word "fulfillment" really means and how that can give a completely new and coherent understanding of the Word. Although I am French I was misinterpreting this specific word anyway, in any language. I would have loved for you to continue from this fulfilment idea into the Sermon on the Mount when Jesus talks about how it's best to cast away your members that to be thrown in Hell. Well done. Thanks for the video. I had false teachers say Peter and Paul had different gospels. They stated the modern church should only read Paul. I pointed out 2 Timothy 3:16 and said correct. Only listen to Paul, Paul says all scripture is beneficial.

I appreciate the light you throw into the confusion of this age. I was aware there were those driving a wedge between Jesus and Paul, but I did not know what it was about. Maybe they want to enchain other people so badly that they willingly wear chains, too.

Yes keep going!! Even the 12 didn’t understand Paul’s Gospel. It wasn’t till right before Peter was to be martyred that he finally understood the importance of Paul’s Gospel of Grace.(2nd Peter chapter 3 verses 15 and 16). Paul had been revealed the great secret that God kept from the world that he would include salvation to all who believed in his death burial and resurrection. Paul said that he learned his Gospel from no man but only by Christ the risen Lord. He disappeared for 3 years in the Arabian wilderness (Galatians chapter 1) where he was led by Christ. He said if any other man preach another Gospel let him be cursed. Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles, without Paul’s teaching no non Jew could be saved. We now have equality Jew and Gentile alike.

Yup, all through Acts Paul was battling Judaizers from Jerusalem, the "circumcision party".
Even after Peter dealt with Cornelius, the Bible clearly says he still feared the Jews and Paul had to call him out for his hypocrisy.
