So, if I woulda remembered Hyperion, i would have thrown it in with the wings at the end. Rcdb doesnt have it listed as anything which is weird. I guess it doesn't fall into any existing model
It's simply just mistake on Rcdb.
i agree
I'm pretty sure its because of the fact that Hyperion has different trains (almost B&M looking ones with 4 on each row instead of 2 like on the mega coasters) but I'm no sure
It’s a mega
According to Intamin website, Hyperion is classed as a Mega Coaster so it shouldn't be put with the wings at the end :)
Also don't always trust 100% rcdb, they tend to forget some stuff here and there but that's more of a human error haha, if you have a doubt try to check the manufacturer website :D
www.intamin.com/product/mega-coaster/
Hyperion is special boi. It's an airtime based intamin hyper, but for whatever reason, it's not considered a mega
Yeah, weird. I wonder why
@@AirtimeThrills The only possible explanation I can think of is the inversion which must exclude it from any of their categories
@@AirtimeThrills Intamin is simply too innovative that they need to consolidate model names when they introduce new or remove old technology or train designs. If you've followed the web page through the decades you'd know that Inamin hasn't used the term Blitz since 2010 or early 2011 (before Cheetah Hunt). Accelerator hasn't been seen in some time either. They're all known on the Intamin website as LSM Launching Coasters. The model type also includes the switch track, multi launching, Soaring with Dragon so you can bet that Velocicoaster, Pantheon, and Toutatis will eventually live here as well. Oddly, Hyperion is the feature coaster of the Mega Coaster page but Skyrush appears on the Wing Coaster page, in spite of it hitting all the parameters of a Mega Coaster (and featuring the same trains as Hyperion). Furious Baco also appears as a Wing Coaster, as I would assume that means they discontinued the Wing Riders trains. Oh and the Mega-Lite Coasters you referenced at the beginning of the video are now being sold as Ultra Coasters with no apparent changes otherwise!

@@AirtimeThrills I'd say it's a Mega Coaster anyway.
I dont know why but coaster through the clouds just looks absolutely massive to me. I mean I know it is but really, that looks like a 500 foot coaster to me
It definitely has that effect
The drop is absolutely huge
That’s what steel curtain feels like when ur on the lift cuz it’s right next to the ravine
Mainly because there’s nothing behind it
Kind of like the way Shivering Timbers looks like the biggest roller coaster in the world. The right setting can do that.
I love this series! Could we get an episode with intamin blitzes?
Thats a good one, ill do that soon
Awesome! Thanks!
@@AirtimeThrills B&M hypers and gigas combined as well
Oooh, Intamin Blitzes...my favourite model.
I've worked Goliath at Wailbi Holland for about 200+ hours last summer and I can tell you even tough it's the least tall mega coaster on this list hunderds of people a day turn around when they see the coaster up close. And yes the coaster really does make most of it's size and with a capacity of almost 1200/h lost of people enjoy is every day.
Ah yes, the best series on youtube
This is great, but I gotta give the nod to Problematic Roller Coasters from ElToroRyan
@@CoasterRoaster On rollercoasters a block zone is a section of ride that only one train may occupy at a time. At the end of a block zone there is a method to stop the train, in case the block zone ahead is still occupied. This is the safety system that prevents rollercoaster trains from colliding with one another. Let’s look at the block sections on [coaster].
@@CoasterRoaster same
Wilderness Run of course
Man they really started off with a bang
@Zacheroni Oh really Sherlock, have you ever heard of sarcasm before?
@Zacheroni mini? DUDE THAT THING IS HUGE!!!!!! Millie is like half it’s size.
I thought Superman the ride was pretty bad at pacing, even though I rly loved the layout, forces and even the restraints, so I have it lower than most in my rankings, and the fact that it came in 4th place for pacing despite being the 2nd fastest coaster on here is sad
Sad Hyperion noises
Huh...i had to check rcdb and its not listed as anything
GeForce is awesome! Do not skip the weird AF dark ride called Falkenstein Castle when you make it to Holiday Park. Walibi Holland has a pretty strong top 3-I don’t think Goliath is as good as Untamed or Lost Gravity, but my recollection is a little hazy because we flew through the park-then drove to Walibi Belgium and finished both parks in one day.
Personally, I add Skyrush & Hyperion to the "mega coaster" label, but that's me.
this is only the second video where my home park was the best at something. the first was best 1-2 punch
New England?
Hey can't thank you enough! Thanks man :)
You should do Intamin Blitz by prime ride time. Great vid btw!
It's a great day to be alive when Airtime Thrills puts out another prime ride times video
In case anyone ever wondered why Expedition GeForce has that twisted first drop.
Werner Stengel gave a good explantion for it: "That's where the park's property ends. We had no other option to place the station, they couldn't expand the park, so we just came up with that drop."(shrugs)
It reminded me bit of building a coaster in RCT... :oD
I like Ride of Steel at Darien Lake, but it is a very strange layout. It really does just seem like they couldn't quite make up their mind as to what they wanted to coaster to be overall, but it's still a fun ride.
I´m glad the Goliath at Walibi Holland still has the T-bars, and it's pretty easy to get not stapled. So it doesn't have the stats, but still the experience. And can't wait for Kondaa to get opened!!
Would love to see this on B&M Inverts or Hypers ^^
Me too!
Sky Rush should have it's lift hill included in Prime Ride Time. It's crazy how fast it goes up. It seems faster than 305.
Is Chris informed that his 2020 theme park review is under an age restriction?
Yes
I have only ridden Ge Force and it is my favourite coaster. Especially the first drop is incredible ;)
Superman ride of steel for life. Man it sucks when 1 train ops happens and it breaks down 20 times a day. It's the six flags amarica way
Yes! Superman the ride for the win and rightly so in my opinion. It’s such an amazing coaster! I highly suggest if anyone hasn’t been on it to make the trip out to New England it is well worth it!
All I know going into this is that ride of steel has like a 120 (counting lift hill etc) second ride time it’s a long ride all of them that I have ridden were fun.
Great video! I have ridden Goliath and and also Hyperion in 2020 and both of them are in my Top 10. For me, Hyperion is slightly better especialy with the first airtime hill with the strongest ejector airtime I have ever felt on rollercoaster.
#1 is at my home park in MA! Love love love this ride!!
Hyperion has the same trains as skyrush and flying aces but it’s not considered a wing or a mega kind of confusing
Hyperion has no Wing seats
Could be because its 4 across but without wing seating, making it neither
It has an inversion as well
@@kevcoaster1513 so does flying aces
@@coastersaredrugs it kind of does the outer seats are lower down like skyrush
I love these Prime Ride time videos, such a great idea. Keep up the good work man.
Every time you said skyrush my legs starting pulsating.
The pacing on flying aces is incredible. I think mixing up the air time with inversions keeps it so exciting, I was able to marathon 5 times in an hour, which I can't do on skyrush. Strange, because the seats feel so similar to me. Flying aces is my number 1
(Adding this before I watch) One of my favorite series!!
I love this series, would be even better if you showed the breakdown at the end for all the stats (pacing especially using bar graph like you do for prime ride time! No need to spend ages it just would be cool :)
Please do a B&M hyper episode, and maybe a B&M invert and/ or floorless episode, but I do know there’s a lot of both of those
Love superman at sfne my home park
I actually thought mellinium force would be on this list. But I realized this is intamin :)
It’s a giga, which is beyond a mega
I’ve only ridden Goliath and it’s my third favorite coaster
I do have to say that each and every one of your videos are really good :)
That was a clever editing transition to your logo at the end of the video.
I love ending videos with tunnels
I might be able to go on Kondaa this year and I can confirm goliath is a really solid ride.
someone's excited for kondaa...
can you do b&m hypers (incl. gigas because they're the same model) next? also a cool idea would be to do all the POVs next to each other at the end
he already ranked all the giga coasters (incl. b&m) in their own video, but i agree that hypers would be pretty cool
Ill get to the hypers but the gigas do have their own video
@@AirtimeThrills yeah but to compare them to the hypers, as they are the same model from b&m. you could just skip over them
@@kristalic Yes. I like the idea of doing all the B&M hyper coaster model including the 4 shorter than 200' and the 3 over 299'. However, I'm patient enough to wait until a POV is available for the newest one under construction in China.
Hi Chris! Can you plz make a quiz submission form?? So we can suggest quizzes for u to do for ur quiz videos. Anyway great video and Kondaaaaaaaaa looks great
You can just dm me on instagram or email me and we can collab on a quiz idea and clues
@@AirtimeThrills that’s great! Will do that
The only one here I've ridden is the longest, Superman: The Ride at SFNE. And it's one of the most extraordinary rides I've ever experienced. I don't even mind the restraints at all.
The only coaster I've ridden in my life so far that might top it is Wicked Cyclone, which is sitting 700 feet away from it at the same park.
*Airtime Thrills talking about all the great coasters in the outro*
Coaster Through the Clouds- “I’m I a JOKE to you?!”
7:22 Actually, the flying aces POV is very slow
play it at 1.25X speed
Goliath is very nice! Specially the bunny hills at the end make me laugh, haha! (airtime?)
I'm impressed by your excellent math work!! Great job!!
It is amazing how much content you are making nowadays. Keep up the good work!
I need to ride these mega coasters this year!
Here’s a suggestion: Maybe a prime ride time video on the B&M Loopers? (Floorless and Sitdown)
Definitely will be done
Ive always wanted to go on one of these they look awesome
I’ve been on all of these except coaster through the clouds, and god damn this is a great model.
What is your favorite of the bunch
@@johncurley599 maverick, with Taiga as a close second they are right next to each other in my rankings.
love your channel man!
I agree
I can actually say I haven't been on any of these. 12 RMC's but no Intamin Mega Coasters. I agree with you that Expedition GeForce and Kondaa have to be on any persons bucket list.
"Helises" lol. Nice video!
What this all says to me is that statistical pacing doesn't necessarily matter. A layout with excellent elements is far more important. It looks like Coaster through the Clouds combines has both going for it.
Intamin Megacoasters look insane. Great video as always!
It’s very interesting finding out that clones of coasters aren’t always the same with the two Superman Ride of Steel clones
I've ridden both Superman ROS and the original Ride of Steel and, other than the mirrored layout, I literally didn't know there was any difference. I'd like to see how Millennium Force compares since it's a lot closer to a Mega coaster than I305 is
im glad my home park is sfne especially because i have a six flags park 15 minutes from my house
They are supposed to be called Hyper Models like What B&M and Chance Morgan call them. These people of Intamin don't know what they are doing.
2:32 This coaster is awesome. I'd love to ride this with Airtime Thrills.
This would be awesome.
Is there reason why Switzerland doesnt have theme parks?
@@villek3722 bc there are such great manufactors, there is now place left for parks lmao
@@tommycoaster1911 but like they are rich, they have population for them and dozens of millions of people visit Swutzerland. Zürich would be great location for city park like Liseberg
How y’all replying so fast
Six flags Is pretty inventive of The Goliath name and Batman & Superman clones lol
I love your prime ride time videos. I'm curious: how do you measure the track length of the prime ride time? Thanks for posting!
Chris: Kondaa has low to the ground cutbacks like we have seen with maverick, I305, and cheetah hunt.
Me: what about el toro
i've ridden goliath and it is a pretty fun ride nothing special teh two big hills are fun and the bunny hills at the end are great but the helixes are a bit boring
Well I’ll meet u at kondaa next year. I’d be going around June uknow if u wanna go then erm. Ye
Good video as always
Wish they built more of these but I feel like parks don't have enough space and the cost is way to much for a solid layout... not many chains have a desire to buy one even.
I'm one of those people who only considers expedition geforce, konda, and goliath at walibi holland to be mega coasters. I might be missing others but i consider those as mega coasters and the other ones that reach 200 feet or over to be hyper coasters, but that's just how I see it.
Ride of Steel @ SFDL is 208' tall, the one at SFA is 205' tall
Yes 😂 something other than a naming coaster video.
Nice video! I’m assuming you checked mega coasters through RCDB, hence I noticed you missed out on Hyperion. Intamin actually considers it a Mega Coaster on their website.
Yeah i did use rcdb and caught the wings as something to be considered, but forgot Hyperion which isnt classified as anything on there
YEaH, another one of these videos
I really want to get on thunder dolphin because it looks so cool ontop of that building
How about doing prime ride time for all the hypercoasters?
Can we get a list of coasters for teens and adults that are the best ones to ride for someone who has never ridden a coaster before.
Can you do a b and m hyper coaster List from slowest to fastest
Shockingly, I have ridden one of these, at Darien lake. 😁
Thunder Dolphin is fun but was a bit disappointing for me. Coaster Through the Clouds is excellent....I'm talking SFNE-superman level excellent, maybe better. Think Skyrush intensity, with better trains, and more track length.
Well I’ve only been on one of these and it’s sfne superman. Rode it when I was around 8-10, n haven’t been back since :(
I‘ve only ridden GeForce and Goliath from those so far 😭
Superman the Ride at my local Six Flags, New England, could be a top tier for ride prime time. But with those restraints, it’s not the best
Obviously Green Lantern gives the best prime ride
Do you plan coming to Europe this year?
Is it ok that Im a Red Sox fan and watch your videos Chris?
I guess its ok this time
Can you do this for
PTC woodies
B&M Wings
B&M Inverts
B&M Divers
B&M Flyers
Morgan hyper coasters
Arrow loopers in America
Ill do em for any category i can think of
Did you know that Six Flags America and Six Flags New England had to swap their Supermans because the Ride of Steal layout couldn't fit where SFNE wanted it
Big F for SFA
@@AirtimeThrills I feel that move would alter theme park history
Skyrush's time to shine?
PSYCHE!
Skyrush is a an Intamin Wing so technically it wouldn't be on this list.
HYPERION is the best if them
Where is Hyperion
I have been in Goliath before (Walibi Holland), I haven't done many coasters at the time, so it was quite an achievement for me. Especially the drop felt very long I really was not used to that. (Still am not, haven't been in many coasters at all, sadly, kinda.)
What is prime ride time? I'm sorry I'm sort of new in the coaster community :)
The amount of time from first drop to final brakes
@@carolcadiz8287 thank you ^^
If u go to Europe will you go to Alton towers?
I know a lot of people still prefer Bizarro/STR over Wicked Cyclone.
The one at New England imo
Ngl, i’ve seen a lot of POV’s and reviews of Expedition Geforce but it still just doesn’t stand out to me. Am i missing something 🧍🏼
It is better irl than on pov. It has a lot of airtime.
@@cheffren7011 ah, okay
I haven't been on any of these yet
ExGF is awesome, but I’d suggest you lower your expectations if at all possible, as I do think it gets overhyped. Better to have lower expectations and be pleasantly surprised than to go in hoping for a new number one and come off disappointed.
True, but damn it looks good
Airtime Thrills I’ll admit I thought beforehand, “Looks like my kind of coaster; could be a new number one.” Not even close, awesome though it was.
