The alternative choice with DJT will be very very different than anything before. To me the choice is clear and easy. VOTE HARRIS/WALZ 2024!
What's wrong with hope and change other than the fact that it reminds MAGAts of Obama? Trump and what he did, and the prospect of what he will or is capable of doing should be feared by those who have been subjugated by the systemic and institutional racism in America.

I’m sorry but “not sending weapons or missiles to Israeli” would never fly at all… if it was “only sending weapons to be used in defensive nature and increase aid support for Palestinians in Gaza while not working with Hamas and calling for UN troops to be stationed there” then yeahh I could see the centre more likely accepting that.

Outwardly, that's exactly what she's done. Privately, who knows? To have been a "fly on the wall," in the Situation Room or the Oval Office... One would hope that Vice President Harris, behind closed doors, pleaded with Biden, Blinken, Austin to *stop this madness* and use the _considerable_ leverage the U.S. has to get the Knesset and the Prime Minister (read: "king") to relent. That'd be great if we, the electorate, could know if she had done this... but we don't. Because we do not know, and politics (read: "cowardice") prevents Ms. Harris from saying that she went against her own administration on this - if she, in fact, had - then, we are at a disadvantage. An informed electorate is key to a functioning democracy. If only we had something... a "Fourth Estate," if you will, who could investigate such matters, using a practice the ancients once called "journalism..." If only.

Trump getting back in the White House, and implementing even ONE of the provisions outlined in the terrorist organization called The Heritage Foundation's *_lunatic_* manifesto labeled "Project 2025," is not worth the gamble.
What I opine, based on 40+ years of observing politics in America, is that progressives need to play "the long game," as conservatives mastered long ago. Ideally, if the people of the United States would stand up, organize, and elect people with either Green Party - or better yet, NO political party affiliation, starting at the local level (county auditors, commissioners, ombudsmen, city council, etc.), then work their way up to mayors, judges, state Congress-people, etc., people who reflect and represent *_our_* values, and not the corrupt interests of lobbyists, then we would have true democracy in this country, from the bottom-up and the middle-out. *We can do it...* but not overnight.
In the near term, for this election year, progressives, I'm afraid, are stuck with the choice: "Either the Dems or Donald."
He talks like a politician. “A lot of hope and change” peppered with a fair amount of “fear and loathing.” The rhetoric is deep with our American political class. 24 billion more from the merchants of death. Looks like business as usual.
Make America Trump and Maga Free! Vote blue 💙 💙 up and down the ticket. 🇺🇸 💙 🇺🇸 💙 🇺🇸 💙 🇺🇸
Stump speeches sound like that, yeah, and he is at the DNC so sounding like a politician is not just appropriate, but expected. As for business as usual, let us hope it will be - Senators and Representatives creating laws to answer the needs of our nation (or at least the needs of their superpacs).
Fear and loathing? What on earth are you talking about?
i guess trump doesn t sound a like a politician to you. you silly goose.
I appreciated your coverage, but not the guest journalist.
Right. Words and claims without action and consequences are nothing but gaslighting.
As governor of Minnesota he signed many great policies into law to prove he doesn't just talk the talk. Of course, as VP he'll serve at the pleasure of President Harris.

Someone will have to drag their policy plans out of them very soon. Never vote for candidates that don't share their policy positions. There's also 4 years to think about. Not just the moment we're in now. If you got a guy that's 60, grey, and largely exhausted from a stressful governorship now how's he gonna handle 4 years of national politics? Don't just set your bar at "better than trxmp" either. That's way too low a standard for any high office.

Why are these people still supporting Cackles & Walz when Cackles has been VP for 4yrs and did absolutely nothing other than support Gen O Cide Joe in everything he did?
The rural people despise him.
Trump can't even say Minniapolis. It comes out as Mini Anapolis, as if it's a smaller Annapolis.

*1 of 2. This is how you always need to vote:*
We must fully criticize and _always vote_ *against* (& less authoritarian than) both the Republican *and* Democratic Parties- including *Kamala Harris, Tim Walz,* AOC, all of the squad, Bernie Sanders, Edward Markey, Mark Pocan, the justice democrats, & all other democrats. Vote in every single election- at all levels. And also _endorse or anti-endorse,_ in all elections you can, for outside your voting jurisdiction.
For _all_ public positions. And this same strategy applies against the one or more party-monopolies in _all_ countries worldwide.
Real progressives will never be Democratic Members or Democratic loyalists. Never vote for _any_ Republican member or loyalist either.
If no candidates for a position fit that bill:
-Where _write-ins_ are permissible, always write-in an anti-authoritarian person;
-Where write-ins aren’t permissible, always vote uncommitted or leave the ballot blank.
This will continuously reduce the power of _all_ authoritarian parties in the party monopolies: Until our task is complete.
Repeat strategy for all new authoritarian parties that emerge.

Who or what makes you think that you have the right to tell anyone in this country and especially in another country how to vote or not vote? How about you minding your own business?
I see someone woke up on the cranky side of the bed. I salute your principled approach, we should vote our beliefs, even if unpopular. The only way a third party is going to rise is from the local level first - Mayors, State reps and such. You need to get people on board with your thinking and build consensus so the non authoritarians can take positions of influence.
