@@kittygbooks I just finished the book and it was well worth the rating. I figured out the twist about 3/4 of the way through and oddly that made things more interesting. Unlike other books, where it tends to spoil things for me if I figured out the twist before the author intended, it only made me question everything and anything in the story. Maybe that's when Anderson thought his readers would figure it out but it's the kind of twist where I think readers could find earlier or be spoiled on and still thoroughly enjoy this book. The world building is great, magic system interesting, characters are well rounded and flushed out and the dialogue is engaging. Phenomenal recommendation.

Hi Kitty! Great review, it definitely made want to buy it. I was wondering if there are self published books available in audio format (this one or any other)? I love reading SPB, but nowadays I only listen to audiobooks.
Plenty of them, I love Rachel Aaron's ones, but lots have audiobooks. Not sure this one does.
