I've decided recently to listen to every Kiss album in order (I bought Hotter Than Hell off the rack in 74 and never looked back). I play drums because of John Bonham and Peter Criss, but I am tired of the endless whining about Eric Singer. Please watch this video and tell me that Eric isn't amazing! He crushes this song, and makes the band better. Love his playing with Peter in Unplugged as well.
I like him better than Tommy. Tommy just copies Ace's solos and moves. I don't see any value in that. It's probably not his fault though, seems like a band (Gene & Paul) decision though.
Exactly. Fuck imposters. My all time favorite band my entire life, through all eras, but once they got imposters, no, fuck that. And fuck them. They took a big steaming shit right on our heads with that. (change the guitar and drum characters, or take the makeup off) Took me years to even listen to the old stuff again ("old" as in Psycho Circus and prior). But I do love it. Will never give them another dime though, unless they get some integrity back.
I have to admit that even though I prefer KISS with makeup and the originals this Alive 3 album and lineup seriously rocked. Maybe the best KISS has sounded as a band in a long time. Too bad they never made a Live album with Eric Carr though. That would've been great.
Thanks for the suggestion. I just watched Highway for the first time. Both songs are in a pretty narrow category, but both are sufficiently original, regardless of which was written first. Could halford have forgotten his manners with domino?
They took the makeup off in 1983 & had multiple hit albums & some lineup changes before reuniting the original KISS & putting the makeup back on in 1996.
There is not much "Live" on this album - obviously made up in studio...This is the worst Alive Album - can not a bit be compared with the classic "Alive!" or "Alive 2".

Bruce is a monster.
Quality playing and tone from Gene. It's the best line-up they ever had and the talent made some excellent songs.

this is the only version of Domino that should ever be played. not acoustic or studio version. just like all KISS: LIve is the best.
