Toni is right, Toast and bread are totally different things 🍞👍
INCORRECT - Ryan
I totally agree-the texture of toast vs bread are completely different! I’d get really mad if I was served plain soft bread if I ordered toast 😂
@@ToniandRyan another bad recommendation.
100% different. Like, vegemite toast and vegemite bread is different. You don't want a bread when you want toast and vice versa
Ok hear me out... All toast is bread but not all bread is toast. Eh? Eh??
We really need merch that says 'Brigitte's not gonna like that'
@@Jeffersen08 Ryans wife :)
It's the best thing. Like, Taubs really seems like the more chill option for filming at home lol. 😂
"Are you a Tupperware consultant?"
Toni aging herself there lmao
As a chef, I can professionally say that Toni is correct in stating that sliced bread and toast are 2 different foods. Sure Ryan is correct in saying that they are the same ingredient, but that is like saying that a fried egg, a plain omelette and a scrambled egg are the same thing when they are actually 3 different styles of confection.
Had to fact check the use of the word confection. I learned it can indeed refer to the preparation of general food stuffs, not just sweets. Thank you kind ser.
Also Toni is right comparing bread and toast is like comparing cooked salmon and raw salmon they are both TOTALY DIFFERENT!!!😙😙😙
Then everything that is cooked is a different food. It's like saying Raw Chicken and Cooked Chicken are two completely different things. Just because you toast the bread it does not stop being bread.
@@MrWhateverfitsneed to point out to you and the original comment you’re replying to that bread is still cooked, it’s not raw, that said, still have to agree to disagree. Although animals raw or cooked are still considered that animal, they’re no longer the same. A dead chicken and a live chicken are both a chicken, but most certainly aren’t the same. Once there’s a major fundamental difference, they can’t be considered the same. Raw dough is the same ingredients as bread and toast, but the acts of cooking to certain points change the chemical structure to the point it’s no longer what it was and never will be. Have to agree with Toni on this one. Lol 😂
While toast and bread are not the same.
Toast isn’t the raw version of bread, that would be sourdough.
It’s just what happens when you take all the tasty things out of bread and barely leave the essentials, sprinkled with carbohydrates that already break down in your mouth, nothing left for your guts.
That’s why you have to burn it again, so that the Maillard-reaction infuses ANY taste to it.
Toast has its place, especially when you haven’t found the ‚right‘ bread yet for the occasion. When your sick and literally can’t stomach real food yet, Toast is great.
Sure it’s moldy long before you see white and green spots growing, because it has no crust worthy that name and is wayyyyy to humid.
It’s natural habitat is a sweaty plastic bag.
Pasta is more bread than Toast.
As a German I go as far as to call every white bread not technically bread, but a breadline. Bread is supposed to last a few days.
Ciabatta, Pita, Baguette: all of them Breadlings, not bread. Could have spared subway the shame of being downgraded to cake in Ireland (therefore basically the whole EU, it’s just that not every country has extra tax on sugary products)
Agreed. It would be like calling grapes, raisins and grape juice all the same thing. Just doesn't make sense to call them the same thing.
but bread is already cooked. so toast is just bread but if you cook it longer.
1 year later, toast is still a different food than untoasted bread.
i consider myself a bit of a toast enthusiast, and im rather bothered by the fact that ryan just so nonchalantly said "it's the same." it hurt me to my core haha
Even though bread and toast are the same ingredients they are totally different items soon as you toast the bread its in a different realm of warm crunchiness making the items on top melty n nice
Am I the only one flabbergasted that they keep calling ketchup tomato sauce?!??
But its what it is though
@@kaydelahunty3789 that’s as maybe but for 30 years of my life tomato sauce has been what I put on pasta and ketchup is what I put on burgers
@@georgewendell lol its always been tomato sauce for us in the UK and Australia untill everything gets Americanised the younger peeps call it ketchup
@@kaydelahunty3789 I’m fully willing to accept the different naming conventions. It’s just new to me 😱
Ketchup and tomato sauce are two different things in the States. Here in Australia, your tomato sauce would be our tomato purée. And your ketchup, our tomato sauce. Along the same lines as our biscuits are your cookies, and our scones are your biscuits. I found it all very confusing when I first moved to America, but after living there for nearly 20 years, I finally had the different names down. Then I moved back home and some things I had to get used to again.
Omg guys love you so much !! Peanut butter and honey on toast normal or na?
🇦🇺aussie listener
Cutting pizza with scissors is totally normal for me when it’s frozen pizza!
Same. I also have a pizza cutters, but it just never works, and scissors always works (+ it’s quicker).
They actually make scissors just for cutting pizza. There a slightly different shape
My husband, who is a chef, cuts all of his pizzas with giant scissors. 😅 it works the best and is most accurate when sizing pieces.
Bonus for my bakers out there, cut your cheese cakes with fishing line. Push down, pull through. No more sloppy cakes. 😊
As a native Pittsburgher I was so happy to see Heinz ketchup come out of your fridge!! ❤
I love Toni’s Mum’s resourcefulness! When I was a kid after any dish that had rice with it Dad would mix it with milk and sugar and heat it up in the microwave to make a very basic rice pudding. I loved it when he gave me some. Childhood memories like that are so special.
My mom made that. Well, not pudding form. A different kind of cereal, you could say.
Milk and rice with sugar was considered a delicacy in our household, it wasn't until I was an adult that I realised that's just because we were poor and sweets were rare 😂
same but we added cinnamon on top too 😋
Same, and I loved it even though that kind of rice was way too hard for that dish. Did not care: left over rice, sugar, little butter, milk and cinnamon: TREAT!
What you're talking about is a famous recipe in India called payasam/ kheer.
We obviously make it fancier by using fatty milk, saffron, lots of toasted nuts :') but at the barest, it's just rice milk and sugar
My grandma used to mix peanut butter with molasses and we’d spread it on bread. I loved this as a child and this video made me remember that 😊. Now, I’m going to have to share that with my kids and get their opinions.
My dad did peanut butter and honey in a bowl and then ate it with bread in front of the TV.
Honestly your podcast is so entertaining! I always listen to it while doing chores, it makes it so much less tedious 😁
1. Crispy bacon with peanut Butter and jam
2. Avocado and smiths crinkle cut chip sandwiches
3. Toast with butter, Vegemite and extra cheesy tin spaghetti
Toni and the wish chip made my day!! None of my friends know wish chips or call them wish chips 😂
Same! She made me feel so validated 😂
?What kind of chip is a Wish chip? Like a wish bone?
@@annfran3543 a foldie
Growing up I used to call them doubles. Lol.
If we had a double chip when we had hot chips from takeaway we also called it a wish chip.
So we are just going to skip over how Ryan made that chip bad stand up.
Toast and Bread are different. Once the bread is toasted it becomes something else. Like raw cookie dough and a baked cookie.
My partner likes peanut butter and pickled jalapeno sandwiches. When he first told me about it I thought he was insane, but it's actually really good! (Especially with natural salted peanut butter)
I love peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, and I love jalapenos, so I need to try this! I'm sure I'll love it.
Omg, my mom and I also ate cornflakes with cream when I was a kid🤩😂 I remember it was soo good. So I would say it's totally normal 😇😂
Toast and bread are two completely different things 😂😂
I'm a year late to this, but A. Toast and bread are two different foods, and B. Toni's dessert cereal is godly
I've always done the cornflake trick but I add banana to it. 🤤
Ketchup is meant to go in the fridge! It says on the back “refrigerate once open”
only some ketchups need to go in fridge, heinz is one of them. Some actually don't need to refridgerated. Learned that having the fridge no fridge argument before
May depend on the climate where you live. I'm in Australia & find that some sauces do fine in the cupboard during colder months. However, during our hot summer months, some become claggy & vinegary, so are best kept refrigerated.
Naw it's got vinegar in it
It's always better to refrigerate tomato sauce, and to some people's surprise it says you're meant to on most of the sauce bottles. I've seen what happens to sauces that go unused for a month in a cupboard vs perfectly fine unused in the fridge.
We’ve been leaving it out in the cabinet for 33 years now…never gotten sick
I feel like Ryan doesn’t realize he’s the hottest guy alive
My wife would love Toni’s snack! But I would not be able to enjoy it without my stomach getting upset 😂
It's not tomato sauce. It's ketchup!
For me, cheese is a sandwich that has been in the toaster or grill for hot sandwiches with cheese
you dam physco, its tomato sauce
I have an internal crisis.. DID YOU GUYS REALLY CALL "Ketchup" freakin " TOMATO SAUCE ?!?!
I think my brain is overloading xDDDD
I’m with Toni on the bread and toast! Oh and NAH on the peanut butter and avocado!
New subscriber!
Your show is sweet and funny.
So the scissor pizza cutting , nah for me. I hard to cut properly with usually cheap scissors .
BUT I do cut my lasagna with scissors .
Seriously ! Like your going to stab it horizontally
Cut top to bottom, no drag on the noodles.
Fast and keeps the portions perfect!
Toni's diabetes in a bowl, absolutely normal and sinful - loved it.
I'm confused. In Australia is ketchup considered tomato sauce? Bc in the US I like ketchup but hate tomato sauce, don't even get it on pizza or pasta ;-;
I love you guys so much - I never laugh as hard as i do - as when I watch your vids! Sending you all the good vibes! ❤❤
I love a lonely 🍋 lemon ❤
( I use the cut my pickles🥒 and a block if cheese 🧀 into squares and eat them together with a cocktail fork)🍴 😂😂😂🎉
It's crazy to me that yall call ketchup "tomato sauce" lol also I love adding avocado to my smoothies with peanut butter so I think it would be good with PB on a sandwich! It's still way weirder than Toni's combo haha
Hold up hold up.. did you put that knife covered in avocado into the peanut butter jar?? Dont you wipe the knife clean between jars??
We would get our cream topped milk from the neighbor farm. I totally remember thick cream , loads of sugar with our boring healthy cereals .
for Italians its common to have a giant pair of scissors to cut things like pizza. Pizza cutters are not an Italian thing. Also as a Canadian-Italian tomato sauce is for pasta not what I'd call ketchup, but for that sandwich why not just have a real tomato instead?
In my Family everybody cuts pizza with scissors and I also have a bicycle like that...
Cornflakes a cream is the absolute bomb. Not healthy but when it tastes that good who cares. Also my fav sandwich is vegimite, cheese and mayo 😋
My husband eats corn flakes with yogurt instead of milk.
If toast is the same thing as bread, you wouldn't be saying two different words.
Putting the knife with avocado on it back into the jar of peanut butter is probably the worst thing in this damn video
My mother also eats lemons like oranges! But then again we're floridian and my mom loves anything sour, so take that with a grain of salt
Whoa I'm such a n00b. Didn't know you called it tomato sauce
The avocado pit going rogue was a brilliant slapstick moment! Even if it was an accident, it was perfectly done 😂
i cannot deal, puts the knife back in the peanut butter after spreading the avo. bridgette would not have been a happy jan
Did you just call Ketchup “tomatoe sauce?” Now that’s naw!
Are we not going to get into the fact that ketchup and tomato sauce are two completely different things and are by no stretch of the imagination interchangeable?
If you think toast is the same as bread then next time you want to eat a cake go eat a bowl of cake batter instead. Completely different.
It is so much easier to cut pizza with kitchen sheers especially if it's frozen.
Have you ever tried vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of soy sauce? Delicious
If you do another one, can you do toast with peanut butter, honey and cottage cheese? Its amazing and hubby thinks I'm bonkers 😂
Oh my goodness so good! I made this while preggers so tasty
@@katholeenloveit8923 i have found my people!!!
Peanut butter and honey when I am sick. Best comfort food ever
Bread and toast are not the same thing. You are the butter to her BREAD. Not toast XD
I always cut my pizza with scissors. I hate pizzacutters😅
Bread and toast are not the same - just like a grilled cheese or cheese toastie is not the same as a cheese sandwich.
i'm with Toni. Bread and toast are other food things.
Soooo is this an Australian thing to call Ketchup tomato Sauce? 😅
No, it's an American thing to call tomato sauce ketchup 😄
Ugh . I meant vertically!
Cheers
All toast is bread but not all bread is toast
Toni your Mom’s treat is like what my Doctor prescribed for me when I was little and couldn’t gain weight… he ordered Frosted Flakes with Ice Cream I chose Vanilla! I’m voting Normal!!
Flaming hot Cheetos and sour cream
Toast is just bread that you cooked twice
Ryan, how are you saying Toast and Bread are the same thing 💀
That pizza looks like a cardboard prop
Oh yes to Toni's cornflake creation!
Ketchup is NOT tomato sauce!
Love these videos and I also normal avocado and peanut butter👍❤️ Toast and bread definitely not the same thing!!
cornflakes on ice cream is delicious
normal or nah.. Nutella on cheese?
Toast ans bread are NOT the same!!
toast and bread are 2 different foods
Toast was bread, but can never go back. So they're different.
But what's killing me is that pizza with no cheese?! That's a nah!
Check it out. English muffin. Toasted. Promite. Peanut butter. Onions. Yum.
Vegemite and Plum Jam sandwiches are the best
Did you call katchup... Tomato sauce...??? Not the same thing. Like... Almost... But not really.
OMG .. you call Ketchup tomato sauce? then what do you call ACTUAL tomato sauce???? from Canada btw .. and in Canada we butter our bread in sandwiches .. :)
In Mexico they call avocados "mantequilla de los pobres" (butter of the poor man) so technically Ryan's "experiment" should have been fine... But it sounds like a soft textured bad time
Ketchup isn't tomato sauce 😂 although they are both made from tomatoes, they differ. They are both technically bread, but toast is cooked bread, so you are both kind of correct 😂 but Toni would be right because if you said I want a piece of bread you wouldn't toast it, and if you said I wanted a piece of toast, you wouldn't just give a none cooked piece.
EDIT: I GOT SO INTO THE VIDEO THAT I DIDNT HEAR MY KEYS FALL OUT OF MY PURSE. My wallet is attached to my keys so those were missing as well. Thankfully and surprisingly, someone contacted me and gave them back
Listening to this while walking to get my daughter from school has probably entertained anyone whose seen me. I’ve been making so many grossed out faces.
Lime cordial or any cordial really.. or even softdrink if im desperate... AND FROZEN PEAS. Put the peas in the cup first though then pour in cordial and then water and only to just above the peas.
Rice pudding with heavy, whipping cream, it’s amazing just like the cornflakes. I don’t do it with cornflakes but I do use fruity pebbles though.
Toast and bread are different!
I do Vegemite, with a slice of tomato and melted cheese on top of the toast, it’s yummy
And I love slices of banana, on top of peanut butter and a drizzle of honey
Toni, sweetheart....I absolutely LOVE U. U and Ryan 😂😂😂 have brought so much more laughter to my life. THANK U
I get so much S**t from people when I say I have Peanut Butter, and Mayonnaise sandwiches for breakfast. (ONLY can be Best Foods Mayo)
I absolutely love love love crispy Iceberg lettuce with crunchy peanut butter in a sandwich (with butter, obv) 🤤 its sooo good
My 100 year old grandmother always cut pizza with a scissors when I was growing up. And Toni, corn flakes with heavy whipping cream was always one of my favorite things my grandpa used to let us eat.😊 I hadn’t thought of that in so long!
Toast: with vegemite, peanut butter and raspberry jam all on the one slice layered in that order (great on crumpets too).
Pie: always eat the filling with a fork then the crust last. I also use BBQ sauce to stir in.
Pizza: They make pizza scissors - longer and angled so you don't have to hold up the pizza to cut.
Ryan's Pick: too claggy to have both peanut paste and avocado as your only filling.
Toni's Pick: had that many times as a kid. Also put the same on steamed rice (cooled) as a desert.
I am so in love with Toni, it’s insane
Omg, I cut pizza with my large ‘Christmas wrapping paper cutting’ scissors. I have a pizza wheel/cutter but it was £2 from Tesco and sucks donkey balls.
Mature white cheddar cheese and peanut butter sandwiches. Leng af! 👌 🔥
Did she just call ketchup "tomato sauce"?
Good thing that she is the only hilarious woman on RUclips..
I love watching these videos! I love you guys!! Truly bring a smile to my face every time.
That being said - is “tomato sauce” not called “ketchup” to you guys?? Then what do you call the red sauce that gets put over spaghetti?! Do you ALSO call that spaghetti sauce? Or more specific like marinara, arabiatta, etc.?! Genuinely curious. I must know. Teach me your ways lol.
Toni, did you just say that pie was ...hot?
I seem to remember _someone_ saying something about people who bite into pies at work morning teas, and saying pies were hot...
Where did the pie just come from, Toni? 😉
Just yanking your chain. ❤️
Love from Texas, United States of America.
You two make me laugh so much. Im from Orlando Florida and love watching your videos, clips, and reels!! Thank you for the laughs.
Why is your Smiths Chips still SMITHS????
Because (loooooooong ago) it used to be that name here in The Netherlands too, but then they changed it to Lays bc ‘that was the global name’….. is what they said!!!
Don’t tell me your Raider chocolate bar is also still that (and not Twix)??!!!
This video makes me want to gift you guys a cheese slicer because no one should cut cheese with a knife. That's almost criminal.
Also toast is just toasted bread. It's the same thing, just slightly more cooked. And way tastier.
Toni be like: Pizza crust thats like plastic -- NAA. Eating pies with a dirty 50cent coin -- Normal.
whats NOT normal is calling ketchup tomato sauce!!!? two totally different things!! hahaah
"Tomato Sauce" is called Ketchup in America. Tomato Sauce is something entirely different. Also, what on earth is Vegemite?
