If you listen closely, there is a subtle difference, but in my opinion it doesn't really sound like koa wood. I think the main purpose Taylor put the koa wood on this guitar was for aesthetics. Thanks for watching!
My man grats on getting such a beauty. That guitar is simply gorgeous in both looks and sound. My question is from a beginner / intermediate standpoint is it easy to play? I prefer low action, small necks and less distance between the frets. Can you give some feedback on that? I'm thinking of getting one of these :D
This is the deluxe, if it hasn't changed in the last several years. The regular 214cek has a satin back and sides, gloss top, and the inlays are dots, not the design on this beauty.
Taylor uses layered koa throughout, not cheap filler material inside. I think the layered koa used is from the leftover koa used to make the solid koa guitars.
Its a version of Someone Like You, by Adele. The particular arrangement is by Sungha Jung. Thanks for watching!

Was that 214CE Koa standart? Whats the difference wit 214CE K DLX?
What song are you playing for the actual demo? It's awesome!
Hi, I know this comment is late but I was wondering what you were using to record the guitar. Sounds great! :)
Is the sound pretty similar to the regular 214ce? I know you touched on there being a little difference but is it really that much?
I know this is 4 years late, but the 214ce koa is a little brighter, while the 214ce deluxe is a little warmer
Is this the DLX version or regular 214CE-K ?

Tabs?
yup!
I dont get why they dont just use a real piece of koa. How much cheaper can that thin piece of wood be?
