Great playing....The 214 sounds better to me than the other- as played here. Nice work!

The 812 had a crisper sound. I have a 818e and love it. Will never buy another Martin

Slightly different but I can't say one is way better than the other.

I own a ‘19 214ce KOA… EZ choice the 214ce captures 99% of the 800 series tone @ 25% of the price. I have better uses for my $$$ than to chase 1%!

Nice playing. Whats the action and playability like on the 214?

I just checked our records and we had this one set up at 3/32" on the low E at the 12th fret and 2/32" on the high E. That's the same spec Taylor uses for their American guitars. Honestly, the key with a lot of import stuff is getting it properly setup if its not good right out of the box..

Because you can't afford 814. 214 sounds amazing

The 800 series looks better and slightly feels better on the neck but doesn’t sound better. Just different depending on wood. Taylor’s don’t make better or worse sounding guitars lol

I hate V class! They sound thin and tinny! Andy Powers ruined Taylor for me! Taylor X bracing 214ce has a richer warmer tone.
