Jodi was a worthy successor to Karen for the Miss Canada title. With the exception of Karen Tilley in 1985, every Miss Canada winner following this year was a complete and utter disappointment, and never even placed at Miss Universe for obvious reasons. Too bad because in the early 1980s, the pageant seemed to understand the type of girls that could do well at Miss Universe, and Canada was extremely competitive. Then the choices became ridiculous, and Canada would never again match its strong standings in the first part of the 1980s
it is an entirely different organization now. The title is not even Miss Canada now. it is Miss Universe Canada. The last actual "Miss Canada" was in 1992.

I dont think so in those days . It should have been Miss Hamilton.
No back then Miss Canada took place 10 months before Miss Universe; so the runner up would only have had a 2 month reign.
