All of the party members except for Terry(who you get late in the game) Carver, and Amos(who is completely optional) are extremely underwhelming and not memorable at all. I highly doubt Nevan is a top ten best DQ character. The story starts off interesting but after beating Murdaw the narrative falls apart and it just feels like you go town to town and help people without advancing the plot. 3 did this as well but at least those missions were memorable like the village that was asleep. The protagonist is also boring compared to the 4 and 5. 6 isn’t a bad game but coming off of 4, and 5 it’s no wonder why many people consider it a black sheep

Mobile and DS musically were inferior in most aspects to the original.

@@maximmillennia yes, DS battle theme is more like SNES one. Mobile battle theme is more like the symphonic suite version.
the Best battle theme of any dragon quest game. Lots of people dont like DQ 6 but it's my fav.
