    It’s crazy how Ruud plays exactly how he needs to in order to properly dismantle each player, and ends up looking so different in each matchup. How he was so far back, kind of daring Norrie to hit hard and come in for a volley, then just inching up and taking space. It felt like literally nothing but perfect play was going to win Norrie that match. He just couldn’t continue his attacks with the backhand. If not all the time, how often?? It's crazy, I watched Nadal vs Pedro today and the game was 3 HOURS LONG... I enjoyed it but I couldn't even watch more Tennis today LMAO.
    I'm enjoying Tennis a lot so far but it's also pretty hard to keep up, too many players to know, too many games, many tournaments and I even got the Womens tennis too to watch. It's a lot to understand and learn at first, my biggest concern is actually watching full matches, they're too long and that's why I am curious to know how often veteran tennis fans watch FULL matches.

      @notefunctioncollapse 17 дней назад +12

      Start by following one single player, if you really like him you will care about the process of him trying to win and that’s the motivation to watch a full match without suffering. Also observing how it must be for them mentally at every part of the match. If you get into that, you might start getting interest in other players as well. But don’t watch everyone, I like tennis too but we all have to choose, it’s normal!

      I'm not new to the sport but the sport itself receives much more coverage for the last years. For the last 2-3 years I get to see many tournaments during the season, on different platforms, plus the highlights, plus Netflix series. Yes I see some whole matches as well and it is exhausting. I barely watch football (soccer) anymore, or any other sport which requires following a classification. Some track and field and a bit of cycling and that's it. I don't regret it either, tennis is really beautiful and it is a good moment to watch tennis, both masculine and feminine

      I, personally, only watch full matches when it’s late into a grand slam. I’ll see parts of other matches, but I just don’t have the time to watch tennis all day.
