      Stefanope was playing unreal in the 1st set & it shook Jarring, but he focused on holding serve & applied regular pressure to get that break at the end of the 2nd. Then, in the 3rd set even as they traded breaks, Jarhead could see the finish line & Taboo waiting for him in the SFs. Both played wonderfully.

      Jarry has been on the tour since he's 15, he was just injured so often and early in every year for so long. Its been amazing the last 2 years to see him compete entirely healthy for an entire season and rising. Hes at 24 in the world and should be top 10 by US Open. I'm glad the world is finally getting to see this young mans jaw dropping ball striking and superb net play. He was touted to be the next big thing at 15. Hopefully draw at FO is kind. Especially if he wins Rome. Historically other than Rafa Rome winners dont fair to well at RG.

    • @usermatisse
      @usermatisse 21 день назад +2

      What? Jarry is already 28 and the other one is 26. They got their lucky shot, taking advantage of the top4 in ranking out for injuries. And Rublev out because tired of the previous 2 weeks when he won Madrid. It's a lucky shot, nothing else. And by age, they both won't be around for more than a couple of years. And clay season is short, on grass and hard courts and indoor it's a completely different story.

    Make no mistake, this was the BEST of the Rome QF matches. Such high quality tennis from both players. This is what we came to see: huge serves & hard hitting groundies. These were MEN putting the testosterone & potential energy into ATP. They took this QF seriously. In the end, Feta fumbled as JarJar was resolute in his desire to join Tabioca in the SFs. Bravo! It's great to see how the Chileans (Spanish is such a beautiful language) also have a chance when the top favourites or players are out or not playing in the tournament! Even if this year's clay season is very strange with all the injuries etc. To be honest, I'm really hoping (logically) that one of these two Chileans or otherwise Paul will win the race! Seems to me for once - unlike Shelton etc. - a reasonably normal and likeable American, which is rare in tennis. I'm definitely not in favour of Germany, i.e. Zverev, even if he is seed number 3, which doesn't mean much in this tournament (fortunately!).
