We have been married for over 50 years and have never bought a headboard but have always made one. We have simply padded ,then covered a rectangular board with whatever fabric complimented the decor. It has always worked and never looked cheap or homemade . Your headboard looks incredibly professional, loved it.
This room is so lovely and inviting. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying there. A perfect practical and cozy space. And the Birch bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Better than any 5 star hotel. Well done Mrs. and Mr. Salvaged. 👍👏💕💕

You never disappoint. Beautiful work in that room. It might need a curtain though. That ledge is a Godsend and wonderful for displaying. I am a fan of blue and white too. It soothes me into restful sleep. I had a deep blue on the walls in the bedroom of my beach apartment the color of an evening sky before the black and stars take over. I would fall asleep once my head hit the pillow at any time of day or night. I love what you did with the black and white bathroom so striking and inexpensive. I think you are very kind to think of your family and make a place for them to stay when they visit and feel the love. it must be wonderful to have a daughter as wonderful as you. You are my favorite RUclipsr right along with Lone Fox even though style wise very different. All others could disappear and I probably would not notice. I might try making a dressing table with a slim profile under the mirror for function purposes (putting on makeup, contacts lenses etc.) following the gist of the curved headboard and held up by corbels in the same color of the mirror. You might have enough of the board left over to be able to do it with little investment. I feel you really read our comments. And are the only person to have answered me in the past. Thank you for acknowledging me and your advice on buying an orbital sander.

I can't believe how much bigger the room looks with that ultra white paint. I've got a small room that I've been debating whether to do an accent wall or not, but now I know. Sometimes less is better. Thanks Katie!
Bravo on the makeover! Glued on carpet and boob lights - ugh! Great flooring + painting. Yes, white base paint is super easy to live with. A linen look headboard is definitely more budget friendly than fabric with padding and foam underneath. Amazing lamps - I've used a similar kit to rewire an antique lamp from China. Your guests may never leave that room.

Thinking about it from the POV of a guest, the only things I might look for would be somewhere other than the bed to place my suitcase for easy access and maybe a chair or bench. You did a fantastic job bringing that room to life!
Yes! There’s a little sea grass chest in the corner to hold a suitcase and a fully outfitted closet with tons of storage. The closet just didn’t make it into the video 🤦🏻♀️

Either a few stacked on a table with a clock sitting on top or stacked on a shelf with an item sitting on them. Our house always had stacks of books and I found it comforting so I guess I like to impart that feeling in my rooms…yes, even my bathroom. Sorry for the ramble. 🤷🏻♀️ I love your addition of the hat!

Very cozy! I love that you put that low wicker piece in the corner for a suitcase. One thing I love when I visit is a hook on the back of the door to hang my housecoat or towel. Another great KS salvage!
There are 3 hooks on the back of door (although I’m still looking for something cuter 😝) and I just thrifted a little shelf to hang under the mirror. Plenty of storage in such a tiny space 😁

Idea! Maybe matching deco podge paper on each of the closet doors, do your magic paint around the paper. Then you have artwork in the room.
