i could never get my M.p.c era trains to do that. they'd either spin off a traction tire or break in two.the trains are fun to watch. let them clockers roll.
I have had fairly good luck with the MPC engines-the steam ones, IMHO, are pretty darn good. I have had the warped or non-concentric wheel issue with the diesels (that I am starting correct as I find). The traction tires on the diesels do sometimes come off, I think at this point, due to their age. It is "interesting" replacing them, given that the truck sides are not easily removeable (a dental pick has helped here). The other thing I have seen is that they seem to require more frequent cleaning of the brushes and commutator than my postwar diesels, for some reason. In general the run pretty well through.
You have some amazing Rio Grande locomotives. Your Marx consist is absolutely amazing!
Beautiful Rio Grande and Marx Allstate looks like a strong runner.
