I can never quite bring myself to fully hate Five Pebbles, his dialogue with Hunter at least hints that he feels some kind of guilt about Moon's circumstances, he's a genuinely compelling character.
Beautiful animation friend, would love to see one featuring No Significant Harassment. It's amazing how much personality drips off the dude and we never even see him in-game.

(I have dyspraxia so actually _playing_ games is hard because I almost always fail qtes or just things that would require fine motor control in general)
@@chloskyskies4399 Late, but there's a reddit post, and video on the full lore! Also, a good foekoe video that's an outside review. Turtle Toad also posts a lot speedruns, walkthroughs and general extra stuff (including lore!) if you want more to go off. Rain world also has a discord server, and an official wiki with speculation channels n stuff.

If you aren't going to play the game, I would recommend watching a play through first, then going back and learning the story. The game is so beautiful when experienced blind.

ok edit bc i watched it again and i gotta say i absolutely _love_ the way you had glyphs flashing in the background in time to the music, and the way the thing pebbles was holding morphed into the dll, and the way you did the expressions my GOD especially moons face in the first scene, AND the fact that it was all to one of my favourite songs-
this animation is truly a blessing
OK another edit cuz i just noticed all the symbolism, like while moons falling her neuron flies leaving her, and once she's on the ground you can see her pupils fade cuz her eyes are fully black in the game, and the way the ascension glyph lingers in front of pebbles at the end i just-

I always come back to this animation, over and over again. Rain World's storyline has such a sense of comfortable sadness, and this animation does such an incredible job of recreating that feeling

ohhhh god i ran thru the whole animated library of RW on YT yesterday and i love your designs for the iterators SO MUCH. im. gripping them politely... Looks to the moon is probably a comfort character for me by now, and both their stories are so tragic. all of them actually. Your animation combines music and movement SO WELL and the emotion is just. GRRR it fits so well! You made it so! And the key words hit so painfully. and then the Karma signs.. How they are strangely disconnected from our understanding of it and how they seem to just. be steps towards permanent death in some twisted kind of way. both meaningful and meaningless
