Time to return to Oblivion! I first put up a cover in Feb '17 and it felt like a good time to return to it with and add some tabs.
There's quite a few details I didn't pick up first time round but thanks to some guitar stems cropping up on youtube and some live videos I feel I'm much closer now.
The arpeggios can be a bit tricky if you're more use to playing riffs but nothing that can't be achieved! The solo is pretty straight forward apart from the 2 quick runs. I prefer to use a lot of legato as I struggle with playing the notes individually and I find it still sounds good.
The chord arpeggios that are played underneath the solo are at the end of the video too if you are looking for them!
There are a few differences when they play live so I've stuck with the album version and added the odd note about differences. The main differences I've seen are playing a 5th fret harmonic on the 4th string in the intro instead of the 6th string and the extra 0's in the pre chorus.
Questions below as always, I do my best to answering them when I can!

More mastodon please!
Yeah keep them coming!
I was deployed overseas for a year when I found your channel. If I wasn't working I was playing my electric guitar with my little headphone amp. Your videos helped me learn a lot of cool songs. Thanks for the content.
Glad they've been helpful!
This song is fucking sick. Metal elements that owe a lot to late 90s and 00s alt metal without sounding like any of the overdone/generic/cliche tropes of that genre. To my ear, anyway. They really did thread the needle with this one. And that chunka chunka riff before the coda is otherworldly heavy and good. Just the fucking best song, great performance!
This man IS thé New boss of "learning cover"
My favorite Mastodon song LFG
This was fucking awesome to listen to. I love this song. Rock on brother!
Please do the whole CTS album.
That verse riff is so tricky for me to play
ive been struggling to play this song for months and you make it look so easy. I've only been playing the guitar for 2 years but I've been coming back to this song every couple of months to see if it's any easier. This is a long term goal kinda song for me.
You'll get there! Keep at it 🤘
Something about /your specific/ videos, and the way you illustrate the tabs and everything together, makes me understand songs faster than anything else lol 💕
I revisited this album today. Wish I werent arthritic and dealing with long covid. I would totally try and give this another go
Awesome cover as always, thanks for the tabs!
One of my favourite songs to play! Great cover!
This is insane, bro. 🔥
Thank you 🤘
Love it!!!
Amazing like always
Good Job. Thanks tabs

Perfect time for a quick Mastodon binge!

Always fantastic work good sir! Hope you have a great day today
Thank you, and you too!
Right hand on rails
I still really struggle to do the riff in verse 1 cleanly. What's your secret 😮
A rather strange choice to notate verses and pre-choruses in 3/4. It's rather 6/4 in verse/solo, and 12/8 or at least 6/8 in pre-chorus
Legend!
