*Fun fact:* According to the book "Supernatural Encounters", the Silmarillion of Star Wars, the Yuuzum were one of the 16 species of Endor created by the Indur, one of the first races that existed in the Galaxy and the ones responsible for the creation of the Force Field that surrounds the moon
@@KlaxontheImpailr "supernatural encounters" is basically fan fic. neither it nor its precursor were sent to or edited by lucusart/lucusfilm or anything directly related to star wars as a canonical entry
One incident mentions Jabba being paid by a poacher in the form of several Yuzzums. Insulted, he ended up feeding all of them to his rancor except for Wam Lufba.
The forest moon of Endor would make for a great survival RPG style Star Wars location. I would be terrified of most of the creatures there in first person, even with standard Star Wars weapons, armor and tech. Just imagine being stuck on Endor trying to bodge together a working blaster and have a Yuzzam run up on you on one of their mounts...
Imagine you survive through all this stuff, think you're gonna do fine because you'll leave on one of imperial shuttles that were left behind, and realize all of it worth nothing because in the end you see a Yuuzhan Vong ship in lower orbit💀
Battlefront 2's Ewok Hunt did a great job at showing how terrifying just the Ewoks alone can be, I can hardly imagine how scary it would be to have to survive there with EVERYTHING the moon has to offer.
I've actually played the TTRPG of Star Wars, and I was a Yuzzem and we went from Kashyyyk to Endor and then to some planet out past Exegol and then back to Felucia, we were looking for a specific creature. I lost an arm and ended up with some crazy cybernetic monstrosity that had multiple functions. Plus highjacking some droids. Then I was eaten by a Felucian rancor. Good times. *edit* And I just learned that the Yuzzem & Yuzzum are two totally separate species... So yeah, nevermind, no relation to this story now 😅
The Star Wars Illustrated Universe (published 1995, I think) has an outstanding chapter on Endor. The book can still be found and really includes great narratives and art work that expands on this video.
One of the weirdest additions to return of the Jedi was the band in Jabba’s palace. I’ve never seen the original version of this scene, but I could still tell it was weird and out of left field and didn’t fit with the rest of the story. It’s just so overdone and in your face
Those special edition versions of the original trilogy did clean up some of the visuals that were limited by effects technology during the time they were made. That's great. The added scenes like the musical number in Jabba's palace were such a bad idea. You should see if you can find original versions of the first three movies, they're worth buying.
5:43 Specifically 3PO already Had Yuzzum in his lexicon, and adapted to speaking Ewok based on it. Which is why he took a little to fully get the language.
Lol truth. It's always been so fun (edit: and cringe) to watch them retcon and try to explain ridiculous crap from the days when the idea of continuity wasn't an idea.
As long as i get to enjoy their music, i probably wouldn't mind spending time with a Yussum, as long as they don't begin to eat me. I can always sacrifice a few Ewoks, or even a few Hutts. Rather Hutts than me
Even though the "Jedi Rocks" song is honestly kinda cool, it's a crime the iconic "Lapti Nek" scene was replaced by...whatever the hell this is. Without a doubt one of the worst changes Lucas made for the special editions

@@executar22 ok thanks, I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not. 😅
Clearly never read the silmarillion. To think it's some sort of archival work
Yeah that's not canon. Or even regarded well by the legends fan base, lmao.
Definitely looks like a civilization in spore that wont stop attacking me for no f-ing reason
Honestly at this point you could probably do one hell of a long video just covering the races and wildlife on Endor
Basically anything that looks like it’s from a lord of the rings novel lives here
One incident mentions Jabba being paid by a poacher in the form of several Yuzzums. Insulted, he ended up feeding all of them to his rancor except for Wam Lufba.
The Yuzzum is an alien I remember reading about in that visual dictionary years ago as a kid, I remember finding it so interesting. Better times
Yep. Still have the book and I totally remember that guy

Great book. Got it

The original band scene and song were much better and much shorter
I love your star wars channel it's so cool your answering all of my star wars questions thank you
Thumbnail looks like something id find in a brooklyn tunnel.

I'm glad one of them was able to get work with Honeycomb Cereal. 😂
Now I can't unsee this 😅
Would love a breakdown of the Besalisk, ordalan, and Dowutin species they're both interesting amongst a whole host of others not covered yet.
1976 novel- 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye' by Allen Dean Foster. Two of the main characters were Yuzzem (with an E). A tall, hairy, wookie like race.
Even bigger than Wookiees, and can speak basic, and no religious restriction on their claws and bite.
Great video, keep the worlds and species videos coming ! So many creatures and aliens to explore in Star Wars !
2:08
"What are ya doin on my moon!"
Neat 😊
Love that they domesticated giant jumping spiders.
Could you do a video on the frog like alien what was playing the harmonica instrument in jabba's palace if you haven’t made one already
That image from the Field Guide book scarred me. It was just so uncanny
i appreciate the short king edit 😭😭
Please make a video for another predator species of the forest moon of Endor known as the Phlogs please
4:04 love that meme!
Do the Sanyassans next! My boy Terak needs some love.
Some of the weirdest looking aliens in Star Wars and that’s saying a lot
Great videos thank you!
Apex predator? Sapient?
Buddy, you just described humans.
This is the most ridiculous video I've seen but it's freaking hilarious. It's nice to see one that's not so serious.
Lol truth. It's always been so fun (edit: and cringe) to watch them retcon and try to explain ridiculous crap from the days when the idea of continuity wasn't an idea.
You should do a breakdown of the Gran species!
whats all this footage from? i never seen any of this and would love to check it out
Fucking just so happened to re-watch the return of the Jedi last night, sick timing
where did you find these clips?
Was there a name or info for Yuuzum before Star Wars CCG? I don’t think there was.
I miss Lapti Nek so much. 😭
Same
The art im the thumbnail reminds me Of Fisk from secret Saturdays.
Funky hell by this fuzzy brown guy was a jam who let bro cook? Jabba?
Saw the thumbnail, thought you meant that bug-like singer in the intro. Disappointed that silly big-nosed beetle-man is not an apex predator.
Wait, you mean he really WAS an apex predator?!
Yuzzum? I hardly know them.
What is the Remix at 4:04 called, i'd like to give it a listen
The muurian transport ship next please 😢😅😅😅
Attempt #5: Hey MetaNerdz Lore, Please upload videos about The COMPLETE Life Story (Canon & Legends) of Luke Skywalker.
As long as i get to enjoy their music, i probably wouldn't mind spending time with a Yussum, as long as they don't begin to eat me. I can always sacrifice a few Ewoks, or even a few Hutts. Rather Hutts than me
Whats the 2d cartoon referenced from? 4:37 ish?
it is Ewoks, it is on disney plus maybe on youtube too
Even though the "Jedi Rocks" song is honestly kinda cool, it's a crime the iconic "Lapti Nek" scene was replaced by...whatever the hell this is. Without a doubt one of the worst changes Lucas made for the special editions
original was nightmare fuel while thenew I find kinda hot tbh
@@archmagejohnpaulii6287 Yeah, I didn't like watching the original Return of the Jedi, and I'm not bothered with the song that George Lucas added.
One of the drawings looks like Charlie the Bigfoot from We Bear Bears.I wonder if that's where they got the idea for Charlie.
Could you look at Fallout Robots
What are the creatures @ 7:10 ?
So.... Not the Yuzzum from Splinter of the Mind's Eye, then...
Pretty ubiquitous around the galaxy
Life of anakin skywalker/Darth Vader when?
i thought the apex was the witch that can turn into a crow
We probably look like these guys to other animals tbh
Can you do ballosar next please 🥺😮😢 please meganerdz lore
Yayyyyy
ugh buddy you started off with the most unnecessary addition to the special edition by Lucas and YES i am including the blinking cg ewoks
Since when does ogres, frost giants and ice demons exist in starwars 💀💀
Lol oh my 8:04
or maybe just maybe people didnt read the notes
They got skinny limbs like me
That thing looks so freaking stupid
WHY THE F is an ALF IN ENDOR?
First view 20 s and first like
I've imagined people as SW aliens for years, like a filter on a camera, Asians are always Yuzzum, 100% of the time.
