- Are you experiencing issues with your car's performance or fuel efficiency? In this video, we explore the symptoms of a bad oxygen sensor and how it can affect your vehicle. Understanding these signs can help you identify and address the problem early, saving you from costly repairs and ensuring your car runs smoothly.
A hot engine can also cause the oxygen sensor to give a trouble code and trigger the check Engine light to come on.
Hmm. The oxygen sensor has to heat up to work. Moreover, the engine is always hot and the sensor was designed to work in that environment.
Wow. I've learnt a lot.
Great
Pls what causes my car to be viberating shaking and also consuming at the same time?
For the shaking, ensure your engine stands are good. If they are good and your engine is well-seated, make sure your tires are properly aligned. For fuel consumption, I need to know what you're using. Also, is it v6? And when did the issue start?
Ok I don't have a code reader and have run into an issue with my 2011 camry. The first start up in the morning is great. The engine cranks right up. After I have driven it for a few miles 10, 20 or 30 and let it sit for a moment it cranks, cranks and cranks then eventually starts up. I recently put in a new battery and replaced the air filter. Any suggestions where to go next?
I've been told the fuel pump, but the car idles and runs great other than the start up on a warm engine.
First off, I'll advise you to get a code reader, which is cheaper than throwing parts at the car. When I had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM on my camry (older model), I did change the fuel pump for the problem to stop. Mind you, I also changed the battery, and nothing happened. Try and have the car scanned to be 100% sure before changing the fuel pump.
@@autofixcentral thnx for the reply. So I had AutoZone to connect a reader and it showed no faults. I’m assuming fuel pump.
Some have suggested started/coil but if that was the case wouldn’t it also happen when I first started it in the morning?
It’s like there is too much gas or the mixture is not right, but after it sits all night it has drained out or evaporated. It starts right up every morning with no issues.
If it starts up in the morning with no problems, I doubt it's the starter. The issue is pointing to a faulty fuel pump. Maybe let your mechanic recommend what to do based on all the symptoms and then go with that.
@@autofixcentral Ok thanks for everyone's help in helping me diagnose my car issue. I went ahead and replaced the fuel pump and everything seems to be working great. Around $400 because I couldn't find the exact replacement for my car anywhere else, but that's ok as long as it works.
This not very smart that a picture of electric cars?
Thanks for pointing that out. Will look into it.
