Is to become a regular customer of one and or more vendors
They will allow you to leave the goods with them until you are finished shopping

As a child, my mother would leave me in front of the "Casa Grande Hotel" while she went into the Coronation Mkt to shop. The JLP, under Bustamante, always had a "monster meeting" there during election time. I saw your recent election coverage!! My grand aunt had a stall in the market where she sold ginger beer, sorrel, cut and grater cakes etc. A lot of these market vendors, from Kingston and the country, educated Jamaica's teachers, lawyers, nurses, doctors etc. Where did you park? In the old days (65 years ago) the husbands would park on Darling St while their wives went into the market to shop. Fish, liver, tripe was sold on the other end of the mkt. For a tip, a young man would bring the laden basket to the car. We did not use plastic. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Great Video!!

If you shop on the outskirt of the market or down bendown side you get cheaper prices. I miss early morning shopping at Curri on a Saturday .

It is Marline Jenkins , just this morning I was stating to my daughter Keiosha Ross that I would like to sponsor some food programs for the youth and seniors that live close by Coronation Market. I love to be genotous to the people who are living in poverty in Jamaica and Canada. I use to pass by Coronation Market market everyday for school before I migrated to Canada forty four years ago. As a Teacher and Community Social Worker I believe it is my calling to develop Jamaica and Africa. My granny was the City Councilwoman in Tivoli Gardens during the 1970"s . She and my grandfather worked very hard to develop Tivoli Gardens. Phenomenally I was just checking the internet to see about any new construction in downtown Kingston and suddenly your video came up. In addition, interesting enough I was recently speaking to Marcus Garvey son about me starting my own international charity at home and aboarx. It brings me to back childhood memories seeing you drive up Marcus Garvey road, mmmh.
I like what you are doing, show casing Jamaica historical places, such as Coronation Market. In a postive bright light. Keep it coming with the great video works ,.......my sister.

My little experience of down town was when I caught the bus to St Elizabeth on weekends. I was always terrified! Everything was so fast-so fast for the country girl!

It funny how mi miss curry now but did hate fi go deh when mi younger lol. Mi used to stand up one place while mi madda go walk d whole a curry fi get things cheap. Den when mi think shi done and we ready fi go home, shi mek bout 10 more stops. Those were the good ole days though
