Excellent video, rural life is the best life i dont care what anybody says, lots of land space, fresh organic fruits and vegetables all around you and also cleaner air. Big up to country life!!👍🏽🏞⛰🏖🇯🇲🇺🇸🌴☀️🌴
Great vid, why? this is what people like to see about Jamaica, you were like a real professional journalist, there's so much to see and do, you have to do lots more like this
I envy and respect this man at the same time. I'm sure it took lots of work to get your place looking as good as it does and it takes a clean person to keep it that way. Respect brother.
very good video, I enjoyed it, it took me back to when I was a child living in the Country with my parents and siblings, that was many, many years ago, I now live abroad but love my country Jamaica just the same. and I love how articulate you were.
me laugh when she asked how to flush it, man. Me remember before using the pit latrine I'd have to beat it to scare off the cockroaches. I live in Clarendon and stay in Kingston and if i could stay in Clarendon all the time i would.
I laughed too even I knew it just went down the hole experienced for the first time when my dad took me to Jamaica in Clarendon at the age of 10. I clearly remember being horrified and scared but it never stop me loving Jamaica and the country areas.
This reminds me of my humble beginnings and thanks for the trip down memory lane. What a way fi mi God good! Thank you, Lord! Mi nuh eat pork, but if mi av sumady cook e gi mi, mi will eat e. Ha ha ha! Bless him. By the way, you are quite a beautiful young lady.
Living in the city makes you appreciate the country life more, especially listening to the birds sing and all the lush greenery around you. All you need in the country is a house and a car for yourself and you alright.👊🏽🇯🇲🇺🇸🌴☀️🌴
a fuss pig pen mi si soh clean, dada house clean though. this vid so funny, Rochielin your questions made me laugh. Pit toilet not my thing mi fraid a lizard. and dem always in deh. i love the fruitfulness of the land.
I am so appreciative and grateful, this was how I grew up in St. Ann Jamaica when my mom left me in Jamaica with my grandparents. This brings back many memories that were my life in the countryside.
I am amazed at the spirit of this young lady. She could have chosen any topic more in line with what most youngsters may be interedted in. Not her. I LOVE country living. I think Ms. Rochelien may have her future mapped out...future land owner|major in agriculture|farmer|invite youngsters to learn and return to an independent/self- sustainance lifestyle.
when i was a child my life was similar to that, we had a nice outside kitchen my granny did have something called a creng creng where she smoked the meat over the fire side, while we sat on the bench and await dinner . she use to let us pack up wood in a corner, and sweep the kitchen floor clean whish was just dirt .in our pit latrene we use to have concrete and granny polish it red, and the seat well clean those were the simpler times when our outside bathroom was couple zinc nailed together with no roof, we used to like to bathe when it rains and stand on the block and put our bath pan on an old bucket or so, i feel so blessed to have been through all that.
I laughed when u said u were gonna ask him how to flush to put toilet.... there saying but this girl nuh know country life man. And when u were surprised with the cost of cows! hahahhaha
Hello ol de fork ina the andle an mine you foot😂😂😂😂😂 beautiful young lady. Thanks for this video. I am a country girl and tranquility is one to die for.
When u have bad belly the pit latrine is ur best friend lol It can manage anything you throw after it unlike regular toilet that spin every thing round and show u what u ate yesterday.
I Love everything except the pit toilet. When I was a young child I use to be quick & ran out. Sometimes lizards would come in & I hated them. I lived also in another area in the country that had a modern toilet. Not all country areas had a pit toilet. Now if I was to travel to Ja. to the country, I would bring a portable toilet.
I love the country life in Jamaica but the toilet would need to be modern. Couldn't take the pit toilet. Scary has hell in there. Went in the daytime decades ago still have nightmare about that. Everything else I can deal with🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
I love, love, this video. It reminds me of when the entire family would visit our uncle Thomas in Anchovy. Same thing with all the food on the land and they would cook so much food. It was like a party with only families! Thosewere the good ole days! I like how you narrate everything and explain everything. When you asked how to flush the toilet I busted out laughing. I just like how you graciously embraced it all.
i remember going to the garden with my mom ,when i was small boy, forking holes just like the farmer man,im living in foreign for 33yrs,and seriously thinking bout going back to to land, and living simple.much respect.

Same sort of set up as our grandmars house in St Elizabeth, but the bathroom and toilet was in the very small house. I enjoyed wating your video brings back memories of home.
I subscribed to your channel because you are so real and original. A lot of RUclips hosts are so phoney and they hide who they really are as a person. You have the personality of someone who could do a sitcom on television. I live in Alabama (U.S.) I vacation at Montego Bay a few years ago Jamaica is a beautiful country with beautiful black people. You stay blessed and I'll keep watching you videos.
Girl you made me laugh..you are a lovely young lady..lovely video....Jamaican living in the uk...please continue doing these type videos so refreshing 🥰
Thanks for posting. Congratulations to Mr Milford. Best life. Do they put compost in the waste. He should get more wood and redo his kitchen area for preservation. Beautiful to think we skin up our teeth on this and send students abroad to learn and leave the island. We should get education and improve or solidify our roots.
Funny how Tiny Houses have become all the rage. This was a lovely video it brings back memories of my childhood in Jamaica going to visit relatives in St. Elizabeth. We were terrified of the pit toilet. LOl. That gentleman is so neat and his house was spotless. Just goes to show that less can really be more.
I can relate. I lived like this in the 1990s as child and teen ager on my island in the Torres straits Between Austalia and Papua New Guinea. We all lived the same. No power just generator.
