This is really cool, and if I still pvp'd a lot I'd definitely like it but needing a UI like this is the reason I don't pvp anymore. So this is making the best of a bad situation, so kudos for that.
hmm as I play on a German client, the nameplate add-on profile didn't work right I had to re-add all skills with spell ID. took me like an hour, and when I stupidly reinstalled instead of reloading, it naturally reset to English and none of the skills are showing again on the name plates
Advanced UI, yet you STILL have the biggest clutter of all on your screen : the damn damage numbers that noone really needs. Try turning that off and you will instantly notice how much more calm you will play when you can see whats really going on. All you need is to see wether the bar goes up or down, with these crazy big damage numbers on screen, its as crowded as demo lock pets sometimes...
i didn't need this but just for the sake of it saving me time every single time i nuke my addons folder.. or quit and uninstall for a while, gonna tip you guys 5 bones. this saves literal weeks to months worth of time over the years that people spend tweaking their UIs, let alone the years worth of knowledge to get to certain decisions etc... such a good video/tool. thanks
While this is great for arena and the solo shuffle matches. I also like to play battlegrounds and do PvE content. Would this UI pack work for everything or would this completely clutter a screen in a BG and be pretty useless in dungeon and raid content?

Ontop of that all the addon premiums and weakauras you have to pay for that give a even bigger advantage. No other game requires this much additives to be able to compete in the pvp scene.

Seems like one of the addons in the package disables XP bar. Anyone have any idea which one? *Edit*: Disregard. The Skill Capped addon itself has a "Fade Status Bar" toggle.
FACTS - I returned from Wrath as a Gladiator and had to upgrade my mouse to a 12 button and my screen is so bloated I have no idea what is going on half the time. CC's are out of control and every melee class has a gap closer it feels like. No more set ups just mash buttons and hope to win while CC healer. Game went from a chess match to a kid playing with action figures in the backyard.
I tried it and do not like it, because you canot see if an enemie uses an major offensive like True Shot. The UI only shows defensives used but not offensives. Kinda sucks. Also I had to enable nameplates for friendly players by myself. Why is this disabled by default? Seeing teammates is not important to multi r1 players? xD
That’s great and all but can you fix the BBP to show observer’s health bar and BBF to show bigger purgable buffs such as mage shields, hots etc? New players that pay for this addon package have no clue how to fix these.
Clean UI, goes on to show the most cluttered mess I have seen. I mean I really do believe that this is one of the main reasons wow pvp has such a high barier to entry. I appreciate the content in this video, but damn Blizzard really needs to cut down on all this mess.
It does but a few things will be positioned in correctly that you will have to manually change - it only works out of the box for 16:9 monitors. With that being said, the addon will get you 99% of the way there, you'll only have to move the things which seem out of place.
what would you say, is the best spec for a casual player to invest in trying to get into pvp? mostly BGs like which class is the most rewarding, remeber as a casual, with a few hours after work here and there?
I would say: Melee: Retribution Paladin, Havoc Demon Hunter, Windwalker Monk Ranged: MM Hunter ofc, Devaststion Evoker Those are kinda easiest specs to play. Just stay away of ranged specs overall because you will be nuked even before you are able do anything, in special if you don't know kiting basics.
it seems like when i get a proc on my action bars (like garrote and rupture in stealth) there is a huge glow that is scaled up and low rez overlayed on the bar. Im not sure why but it only happened after i installed the pack. Thanks for your time and the videos are extremely helpful as always
Some cool features but its way too big on default settings & too much stuff going on. Would prefer a "lite" version of this, which isnt taking over 80% of your screen
It looks very well planned and I think I'll give it a try. I have two worries about it. Firstly my eyesight is so bad that I need to make everything really big to see it and it means practically that I don't have room for everything. Well... actually I have now, since I bought a really big screen, but it means I have to turn my head around a lot and it makes finding what I need really slow. The other problem is I just don't seem to be able to learn the intuitive timings for my rotation - no matter how many years I play. Therefore half of the screen estate is taken up by damage rotation-related indicators and timers. If I remove those, my dps drops by 70% =) Will have to try and see if I could implement some specific elements of this without totally blocking my view to the actual game.
Now that I think about it, my problem with addons is that I just don't see those small icons. They keep changing there and I have absolutely no idea what is going on there. If I make them big enough I can see them, I can fit maybe a dozen of them on the screen meaningfully. I think I have to do some serious customization here. This video made me realize that most of the stuff on my screen is useless since I am physically incapable of reacting to it.
@@koskettaja609 You know, that might just work. The problem is I just can't develop the "feeling" when an ability is ready to use. I have the most broken internal chronometer ever. Without the icons I either tap the buttons way too early taking my attention away from pressing the buttons that actually do something at the time or then forget about them and press them so late my dps is totally crippled. Interestingly, when I use those self-made Weak Auras, I can get quite high dps and optimal rotation. The bad thing is they fill my screen and attention leaving no space for observing opponents or reacting to their actions. I think I'll try the sound approach, although I fear I may already have too many sounds there =) I guess the game isn't really good for me in the sense I can only focus on one thing at a time and even then my processing is very slow. The amount of information is just... overwhelming - no matter how it is presented. But for some reason I enjoy the game so much I've played it since vanilla and participated every arena season, despite the fact I have had zero success at it.

It really just comes down to personal preference - as long as you can see everything and the UI is not cluttered, that's what matters. For our pre-configured UI, we did a lot of research and found that 80% was a good middle ground between those who liked really small UIs and scaled up ones.
There is no friendly targets in gladius and never has been, fyi :) They use the raid profiles from Blizzard and add some Infos via other addons to track cooldowns and such
@@Kyroshi yeah i figured that out a few days ago. The question is how to change the actual enemies you select. SO that every enemy isn't the same color "red". I've watched some arenas of people and every single char is different colors and hp bars are super easy to see. I need that.

Do you have the Addon installed "betterblizzplates"? this should help. then go to settings --> addons --> betterblizzplates --> enemy nameplates "[y] class color healthbar". one thing which helped me so much is the arrows. I can recommend a youtube guide from cdew. One of the legends out there. The video name is "This weakaura will help you in Arena". Gamechanger. good look with your journey mate. Hope my comments helped

This stuff might be useful for the R1 players but 99% of the player base will not go to what is needed to reach that and maybe don't even want to cause after 2400 there is nothing.

This would be unpopular I'm sure but pvp should have a separate skill tree with FAR fewer skills in general. A lot of this UI wouldn't be needed then.

The Offensive CD WeakAuras pack includes every major offensive.

i have an ultrawide monitor ( 2560 x 1080) and this kinda breaks how the interface ends up looking any way to fixx that ?
You'll have to manually re-position things as the UI is built for 16:9.

Is there a way to make it have the default font? I ran it and it changed all the fonts for the chat, floating combat text etc
Run the installer again and disable the font options.

During the installation process you can choose what addons to configure, making it as minimal as you want it to be.

If you feel like you need icons for your rotation its kinda bad, maybe swap the icons to sound cues instead?

do you have to already have the ones on the left side isntalled? and if so does it say which ones to install if you dont have them?
