100 percent I think we will definitely see will in the upside down I season 1 with flashbacks and I'm excited for it but I do have trust in the duffer brothers to not mess it up

I think it is a flashback because the duffers did hint at Will Byers being a major focus in Stranger Things 5. It makes a lot of sense, since the entire series did start with him. Adding onto that, I believe that Vecna and Will are going to have a connection similar to Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort.

what if it’s not in the Upside Down? the gates probably let vines through the Upside Down to Hawkins and they are all over the trees?

That's what I thought too, maybe it's just bled into our world and that can explain why there aren't many
Good theory I think cos it's a hive mind they've slipped into the real world but they're lying dormant until vecna is ready.
Very exact theory and it makes sense as upside down was bleeding into Hawkins
I mentioned something similar in one of my past videos, almost like the Upside Down has slowly overtaken Hawkins. Parts of it could be dormant, but an event could happen that awakens everything. I am so pumped!

Yeah, I was there that night 2/20/2024 from about 9:20pm to 10pm. They were filming the castle Byers scene. Red lights everywhere and flashing etc. Fog machines everywhere. That was clearly my favorite filming set so far that I've visited. I felt like I was part of the show lol.
Somebody on Twitter noticed that the trees match the tree behind Castle Byers.
Also, Will destroys Castle Byers with the baseball bat that his Dad, Lonnie gave him, and somebody else on Twitter recently posted about that. Makes the scene even more significant, and upsetting.
Something I thought about some time ago was wouldn't it be fantastic if Will and everybody helps to build a new Castle Byers, bigger and better?
Also, the colours of the clothes Will is wearing in a recent season 5 pic are the same colours as what he was wearing when he was taken.

Interesting theories, I’m honestly so hyped for season 5, and the more days that they film, the closer we as fans are able to see our first teaser or a trailer, I wonder how it’s going to end, I can probably see myself crying at the end of it because it’s the last season, but yeah, thank you for your awesome theories.

Castle Byers could be rebuilt for scene because in the upside it’s stuck on November 6th 1983. Castle Byers wouldn’t be destroyed.
But I like the idea of of flashbacks of Will pov during his time in the upside down. Like Jesse is breaking bad or El camino and his time with Todd we didn’t see during breaking bad. It was compelling and maybe we learn more about the upside down from those flashbacks as you said.
I thought I heard the Duffers wanting to bring in or explore more of the storyline from season 2 in this final season???

I think victor creel will be killed in season 5 because how could he still be in Hawkins after the cataclysm. And Murray is likely to be killed off horribly. Think about it and how many demogorgons are there is there only one demogorgon or do they evolve from the slugs to demodog then to demogorgon because how were the bats created there has to be another upside down species we haven’t seen yet

I have a theory but no backup to back it up what if Will actually was never rescued but was still in the upside down 😭 and the will we see is a fake in some way
!!!!!! My Wills death theory !!!!!!: We know that there is a part of upside down in Will, conected to his brain (probably). So if it comes to destroying the upside down master or its source it would cause Wills death.
