I hope they don’t do a big time jump at the end, to grown up “kids” married with children themselves. They should wait on that for a possible sequel series in 10 plus years, when they are actually grown up adults.

I hope they don’t do multiple time jumps because then it will make the storyline way to confusing, but I agree with you, I think they’ll have 2 time jumps, one somewhat at the beginning and then one at the end.

I think there will be 2 time jumps. I think they might even drop episodes by the end of this year. 3 episodes November 2024,(1986-1987) 3 episodes Spring of 2025,(1987-1988) Finale 2 episodes Summer 2025!
I think the theory of it jumping closer to winter due to dates and clothing is strong, however since the upside down is bleeding in to Hawkins, it is notoriously known for being cold and it could of just changed the environment in Hawkins so it’s always cold so it allows for the inhabitants to go in and out whenever so it may just be a common themed for the clothing.
i honestly feel like stranger things will end on a sad or tragic, if you will, ending. what if vecna does take over the world like
his plan? or maybe vecna dies but so does everyone else in the process of killing him. i always find that endings that end with the original goal we all wanted, but it doesnt happen the way we wanted, seem to hook the audience in more. when you dont end with what you wanted it might make you want to rewatch the show because you secretly hope for a different ending. which would be a really good marketing skill. they save the world but they dont manage to save themselves.

My guess is maybe we'll start in 1986 right where season 4 left off, then go to the Fall/Winter of 1987 and maybe end in the first half of 1988, maybe around the same time season 4 started; late March

Stranger Things: Without A Trace (2016) Update
Synopsis
The year is 1983. When Will Byers is abducted by a creature from an alternate dimension, his mother, Joyce and the town's police chief, Jim Hopper, search for Will. At the same time, a young psychokinetic girl called Eleven escapes from the laboratory and assists Will's friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, in their own efforts to find Will.

Synopsis

Stranger Things: Turning Point (2019) Update
Synopsis
In the summer of 1985 in Hawkins, the newly opened Starcourt Mall has become the focal point of the town, driving other stores out of business. Hawkins chief of police, Jim Hopper, disapproves of Eleven and Mike's budding relationship, while Joyce considers moving out of Hawkins for a better life for her children and herself, leaving the state of the children's friendships and her own relationship with Hopper in the air. Meanwhile, strange power fluctuations trigger Will's awareness of something otherworldly, and Eleven and Max sense something is off about the town's residents. Despite having closed the portal to the Upside Down, they fear that they are all still in danger from it. Stranger Things: Darkness (2021) Update
Synopsis
In the spring of 1986, the party has splintered since the Byers and Eleven moved to California. Mike's become a distant and depressed loner who's only closure is visiting El and Will. Lucas and Max have reconciled their relationship, but Max suffers from her own aftershocks in the wake of Billy's death. Dustin has been too busy for his friends as he's helped found a new D&D club at Hawkins High, but little does he know the dark secrets the members hold. Eleven and Will have had a hard time adjusting to a new life, with their classmates being no help in the slightest. Things start to kick up again when Joyce and Murray find a secret message that changes what they previously thought happened during the Battle of Starcourt. At the same time, dark secrets reveal themselves in Hawkins that propels Dustin, Lucas, Max, Nancy, Steve, and Robin into a mystery that threatens to unravel Hawkins. And finally, Eleven is forced to confront her past alongside Mike, Will, and Jonathan....and while running from the very people who started Project MKUltra. Stranger Things: Final Flight (2023) Update
Synopsis
In the winter of 1987, Mike and Eleven have been searching for a way to destroy the Upside Down for over a year, with no success. The rest of the party has been trying to figure out their next move, but since they're only fully together during school breaks there's little chance that they'll pull out. But when a mysterious ally brings El and Mike back to Hawkins, a spark of hope is reignited. It happens no sooner as the Upside Down has begun to eat away at not just Hawkins, but the entire world. Now it's up to our heroes to repair their broken bonds, and to possibly destroy the darkness...if they can. The emotional and epic final chapter is here....
Steve’s car was fitted with an antenna in a leaked photo which could be linked to WSQK. My guess would be that’s how the group that travels to the upside down communicates with the others in Hawkins. The Pre-vis from McKorkle farm also shows them riding in a car in the upside down so I’d be willing to bet on that being the case.
That Camp Hiland certainly fits in as a tribute. I've been thinking maybe 1989, and the start of 1990. I've thought about a jump maybe to the present day with their kids. Also, we have that double line on the whiteboard. Time jump, or season split?

Yes there will be time jumps just like they did in other seasons. I believe also that Duffers will give us 4 episodes in the summer then last in November

I wasn't aware that the episodes were going to be super long again this season. I thought the Duffers were trying to go back to basics in every way, including episode length. That was before the strike so maybe things have changed, but before they had specifically said not to expect super long episodes in season 5 like we got in season 4 because there was so much backstory to fill in.
No it will be still like one hour or one and a half hour long episode and a finale of 2 and an half hour
I think season 5 will start from where we left off but then we have a three year time skip because remember Lucas mentioned they’re in their freshmen year of high school and it’s also spring meaning they have three more years of high school and since Steve’s shoes were made in 87, the camp hiland book bag was made in 1988 and that book (that Ross Duffer posted a few months ago or was leaked) was made in 1988 as well. Also it took about three years for El’s to grow fully back at end of three and the beginning of four since her hair was short in two and the beginning of three. Even the other characters like Nancy, Will, Dustin, Robin, Lucas, & Hopper have their hair outgrown too. So I think season 5 will take place in 1989 and end with our characters graduating and leaving on their adventures.
In an interview with the Duffer Brothers, they said that season 5 will tell if Henry Creel has any humanity left in him. Which leads me to think we might be going back into Henry's past.

The writing of this show is truly amazing there really is no show that I felt was consistently amazing each season most shows just fall after the first season or two
I don’t think we’re going to get too many time jumps, I feel like a lot of the season could be set in 87 because it’s going to be one long battle with vecna and his army. I think there will be flashbacks but I could honestly see them only doing flashbacks and then a “three months later” type deal at the end.
1st episode: will vanishing and after s4 finale
2-6: early to nov 1987
7-8: nov 1987- early 1988, probably spending time in upsise doen cause time is paused no one hws track of time
Last 20 minutes: els birthday on remembering her and playing dnd after graduation
The 1988 jacket of the camp is probably police and ambulance on deaths and injuries.

Its very likely imo. The first time jump at the beginning of the season, and then most likely a time jump for the epilogue.
I still kinda think all of these seasons will be Mike's campaign in the 1st episode since they said its coming back to the 4 boys. Jmo

I don't know if they would want to run the risk of tarnishing the endings of the main characters by doing that, I think the spinoffs would focus on new characters more likely than not
Well, I think that the first 2 episodes will take place immediately after the event of season 4. Then, the next 2 will take place in 1987, and the other 2 will take place in 1988. So I think that by the end of the series finale, it will take place in either the '90s or 2000s where we witness a multiple happy ending to our Hawkin’s Heroes story.
It’s not ending in the 90s or 2000s it’s an 80s show

I hope it not random jumps in-between the story, I like what you said that theres a future jump at the end to conclude the story. But id rather they didn't go harry potter style and we see them fully grown, i think they should still keep them young, and it opens door for spinoffs to add new characters
I think if they go the multiple time jumps route, they would make them be at logical breaking points as opposed to random

I think there's gonna be a time jump to New Year's Eve 1989 so that the series can end in 1990. It would be a fitting ending since the show is an homage to the 80s.

I would absolutely hate if they made it into 3 parts. It would be so aggravating to have to wait a month or more after how long we are already having to wait. Just give it to us all

I am team drop it all at once, but I think it's Netflix's call at this point really. Seems like they are starting to split up all of their shows into at least 2 parts, some 3. I fully expect minimum 2 volumes for this final season

Hello friends. I'm in the middle of the fifth episode, but the series is still boring. If it continues like this, I'll stop watching. Should I continue watching? Are the following chapters interesting?

Do you mean season 1 episode 5? Show gets amazing s3/ s4. My mom is the same way. She can't get past s1. I keep telling her it gets so good that you just have to get through some of the slower episodes. It's worth it!
