You sure he paid 100k USD to get where he is right now? From what I know, he's graduated from IIT and that would not cost as much. Also he has not completed any further studies from any Uni abroad.

Even I don't like paying taxes, but paying taxes is better than staying Poor. I agree taxes money is not used properly but i have seen huge improvement in infrastructure, health care and others in India and there is a long way to go. If we move out of Metro and Tier 1 cities, than we will see real development that is happening. After staying in Mumbai for 23 years i have moved to my native place and things have improved drastically here especially in last 5-7 years in terms of infrastructure, health care, water, etc.

May be you have increased your standard of living.. but all these things to be under control.. They earn so much yet have normal cars..
