    Mr Dressup was a character on Butternut Square from 1964 to 1967. Fred Rogers had suggested to CBC Children's Programming Head Fred Rainsberry that Ernie Coombs be given his own show after Rogers chose to return to Pittsburgh. Coombs had been Rogers's puppeteer on The Children's Corner. They remained lifelong friends.

    I wish CBC would put all these episodes on DVD or Blue-ray so i could show them to my kids and grand kids.I miss Ernie Combs and I'm 49.
